Put this setup on my 335 Pro and it works and sounds fantastic! Install was pretty easy. The stock spring was a little bit stiff for my liking so I swapped it out for a Reverend Soft Touch spring...buttery smooth now. I shopped around and Reverb had the best price👍
Seen one of these installed, it was really simple and came out perfect... didn't tear up anything and can be removed at any time. Nope, I don't work for these guys, just saw one being installed...
Awesome video guys, couple of questions. First, is this completely reversible or will it leave marks? Second, what is the best vibramate/bigsby combo for a standard gibson 335? Really interested in this, thanks!
Absolutely reversible. With the felt pads on the bottom of the metal, it's not leaving any marks. If the distance between your hardtail bridge is 8" as is pretty standard for 335's and Dots, you'll want to buy a Vibramate V7-335 and a Bigsby B7.
I had a Gibson Les Paul and installed a Bigsby with the Vibramate. The issue I had was that there was too much tension on the strap button screw, so it would come out after a while even though I screwed it in. Might have been a failure of my guitar but that was definitely not ideal...
be careful. 335's top is arched while the vibramate plate isn't. it's going to pull the tailpiece ferrule and the strap button screw towards each other and may damage the finish if not the instrument itself. i thought it was clever but just not for the archtops.
I've seen a few videos in which people install the bigsby b7 without a vibramate, and they all seem to pay very close attention to the offset of the string in relation to the fretboard. I was just wondering if this is a concern you have to keep in mind when installing the bigsby with the vibramate, or if you could just go one stringing it without any problems.
Since I can't seem to find it on the internet I hope you guys can help me out, I have an Italia Torino which I want to put a bigsby on, what vibramate and bigsby would you guys advice? Thanks!
so from brother to brother i need 5000 dollar for the 335 plus bigsby! well from tomorrow on only can meat and hard bread! viva jerry reed and thanks for the video
Is the B7 for a 335 a different size than a B7 for a Les Paul? Because I bought a gold Bigsby B7 with gold V7 vibramate and the screw holes do not line up with each other.
Matthew Vargas I have something new for the trapeze (no floating bridges) but not for use with a bigsby. OR you could use my hinge plate adapter and a Bigsby B6 townerusa.com
Paul Blart Mall Cop It contributes to the function of the Bigsby by providing you the ability to control the string tension between the bridge and Bigsby. As well as providing a flat surface for the strap button. And looks good.
Paul Blart Mall Cop better, because you are afforded string tension control via the Towner Down Tension Bar mounted to the stop tailpiece studs. Stop by the site for 335’s I recommend the TOWNER B6 Kit townerusa.com/product/bigsby-b6-kit-with-towner-system-stainless-steel-aluminum-2/
David Jillson thanks man. I commented at first just to be a sarcastic jackass but then I started looking into it and I'm actually liking the idea. It's a beater lawsuit strat from the 70s so it doesn't really matter how much I mess with it. Hardly stock at this point anyway. I'll check it out, thanks dude
$300 guitar with a $170 bigsby? Hmm. I suggest people check out the Deusemburg Trem II @ $65 I have found it works and actually in terms of pure functionality, it works better than the bigsby ..
hey Reverb.com! I have an es335 and the sound at the end of this video is the one I'm looking for! would you ming sharing what amp and speaker you're using in this video? Thanks a lot!
want one for my Uke

Funny, I was about to get one of these for my Epiphone Dot Studio. Thanks for the guide, guys!
TheOkayestGamer I also have the dot studio... did the Vibramate fit good on your dot studio?
Thanks, I wanted to add to my Gibson Studio 335, so I immediately measured my guitar and ordered a Bigsby B7 and Vibramate V7 G.
Seen one of these installed, it was really simple and came out perfect... didn't tear up anything and can be removed at any time. Nope, I don't work for these guys, just saw one being installed...
I would very much like that in my SG.

a piece of foam is useful when stringing the guitar. Use it to hold the ball ends of the string on the bigsby as you mess with the other end.
Nice, and were you guys playing sleepwalk?
Santo and Johnny Sleepwalk? Is that the song at the end of video that you are playing?
Sounds like it

What if you have a wrap around bridge like on the prs se hollowbody ii?
Would it work on a floating bridge guitar? Mine is an Ibanez af55 hollowbody
Nice, Ritchie Valens!!

What was that last song played? It was beautiful
Sleepwalk by Hank Marvin/The Shadows
TheRob2D its santo and johnnys song tho, they released it in ‘59, the shadows version is from ‘60
LOVE YOU GUYS ;)
Since I can't seem to find it on the internet I hope you guys can help me out, I have an Italia Torino which I want to put a bigsby on, what vibramate and bigsby would you guys advice? Thanks!
Twice you say to measure from the "center middle of the tail piece" and twice the guy in the video measures from the back edge.
Figger it out, it's not that hard
That santo and johnny outro🥴🥴❤️
And D nightmare tuning starts 😂
will this fit ibanez hollow body guitars?
Is there a gold version of this model and would it work on a 345 stereo?
So...I have a 335 clone from sammick. It measures 7 inches. Do you have an adaptor for that??
so from brother to brother i need 5000 dollar for the 335 plus bigsby! well from tomorrow on only can meat and hard bread!
viva jerry reed and thanks for the video
Is there one with 7.5 inch
Is the B7 for a 335 a different size than a B7 for a Les Paul? Because I bought a gold Bigsby B7 with gold V7 vibramate and the screw holes do not line up with each other.
There is different ones, yes, i believe the v7-lp is for a les paul and the v7-335 for the es335
what the name of the song while he is installing The Bigsby
I Bet that will work on a Lap Steel Guitar
Anyone know about these for a Es-339, was thinking about a B5 on it but would like B7
Make sure you check this but I think the B7 will fit the 339 perfectly since it's the one designed for Les Pauls, 335 and other similar archtops.
Is there any left handed B7 vibramate version? Help!
Yes, I'm pretty sure you can find them on the website.
First check that back button of the guitar is in the center, otherwise the Bigsby will be twisted and you'll have tuning problems
wait, but what if I have a guitar with a trapeze tailpiece?
Matthew Vargas I have a new product for your guitar send an email from Townerusa.com
Towner Vibrato Guitar Systems would appreciate info on your products. I have SG, 335, 339, TELE, STRATS. zmist49@gmail.com
Matthew Vargas I have something new for the trapeze (no floating bridges) but not for use with a bigsby. OR you could use my hinge plate adapter and a Bigsby B6 townerusa.com
Why would you cut strings to remove them?
Bcz at that point the strings are too short to be re-used on a bigsby
Never reuse strings! The string bends on the point of contact with the bridge and ends up debilitating it...
Does it work with a Bigsby B70?
I make a much better retrofit than this check out my website TOWNERUSA.com
@@TownerGuitarParts Why is yours better?

Bairdogg nah dude
Bairdogg Hey man try a B-5 flattop vibrato works great on my fender jagg easy install & so far stays in tune

About the same price now and ugly as hell though!!
@@OrvilleRickenbacker Its ugly for sure. But. It sure does work well. The spring is so much better than the Bigsby one.

Thanks a lot!
It was played through a Supro Tremo-verb. bit.ly/2h6oDYR
That guitar needs a bit of oil on the fretboard. Please
That's a maple fretboard..torrified maple that is,should have made that clear.Hope this helps
It seems safe to say that this won't work if you have a trapeze style tailpiece.
I did not understand one thing - why was it necessary to measure twice with a tape measure?....🤣
Always measure twice, don’t you know that?
what song on 3.15?
That's the chords from "Sleepwalk" by Santo and Johnny.
Reverb.com thanks! (:
Aa
Will this fit for a epiphone ES-335 pro?
aremondoe i’m pretty sure
