One thing the video forgets to mention is the price. If you have an option to buy the guitar with the vibrato go for it since it's a much better deal. This here is not worth the cash unless you find a really amazing deal on the adapter and vibrato. In Germany in big online shops both parts together cost like 360 EUR. I'm looking to buy the Gretsch G2622 but noticed that there is also the G2622 for like 70 EUR or so on top of the price for the non-tremolo version. 70 EUR compared to 360 EUR or so is a huge difference. I would go for this only on a very expensive guitar (like 1000+ or even 1500+ EUR).
Man, this is GREAT! I've been sitting on my Bigsby vibrato for years because I'm too afraid to drill into my Lesy. Also too unsure of whether I'll like the outcome enough to justify having my local guitar tech put it on. And potentially having to remove it if I don't! Thank you!

Hey Daisy, It looks like the V5, V5-ST and V500B have all should work for the Starcaster. You can check out the model chart here: www.vibramate.com/vibramate-model-chart.php
Thanks for the video Justin. I tuned in to see if this set-up would be compatible with my '52 Les Paul gold top. It's a real '52 so it doesn't have screw-in tailpiece. Can a Bigsby be installed without screwing down the top? would it sit on top of a Vibramate for spacing without too much moving? Spacing for height is the next big problem.
The Vibramate plate requires the screws to hold it down so I don't think it would work and they don't have the '52 listed on their recommendations page. It'd work with modifications but it would be a shame to mod that guitar!
I have a question, what do you do when you put your guitar Into the guitar case, because the whammy bar is up enough to untune the guitar while in the case
Most people swing the arm around so that it's pointing towards the end of the guitar to better fit it in the case. I think in general, regular tuning is just part of having a Bigsby.
The stud spacing will work with most (import and domestic) tune-o-matic style bridges, but the distance from the bridge to the lower edge of the guitar body may differ from a Gibson/Epiphone Les Paul and may prevent a proper fit.
The B7 is commonly used on semi-hollow body guitars, but the Vibramate adapter used in this video would not fit. Vibramate offers a V7-335 in a "G" (Gibson) or "E" (Epiphone) sizing. www.amplifiedparts.com/products/adapter-kit-vibramate-v7-335-gibson-and-epiphone-arch-top
