    One thing the video forgets to mention is the price. If you have an option to buy the guitar with the vibrato go for it since it's a much better deal. This here is not worth the cash unless you find a really amazing deal on the adapter and vibrato. In Germany in big online shops both parts together cost like 360 EUR. I'm looking to buy the Gretsch G2622 but noticed that there is also the G2622 for like 70 EUR or so on top of the price for the non-tremolo version. 70 EUR compared to 360 EUR or so is a huge difference. I would go for this only on a very expensive guitar (like 1000+ or even 1500+ EUR).

    Thanks for the video Justin. I tuned in to see if this set-up would be compatible with my '52 Les Paul gold top. It's a real '52 so it doesn't have screw-in tailpiece. My OCD just kicked in on the very concept of Fender Strings on an Epiphone/Gibson Les Paul. In order of matchy, matchy, Gibson 10's, PRS 10's, anything else 10's and the last set of 10's strings you EVER put on a Epiphone/Gibson is Fender 10's. And if you EVER do put Fender 10's on it, keep that much local knowledge to yourself. Just kidding here, put whatever strings you prefer on them.
    I like this video, going to be putting a Bigsby B5/B50/B500 on a Epi LP Special I P90. The issue is it has a single piece that is fixed intonation bridge. So this installation doesn't apply to me per se. But it does indicate that I leave the bridge where it is and I have to mount the Bigsby that far of an exact distance behind the center line of the bridge screws and in perfect alignment. So I will be drilling holes. Now I'm off to determine that from a blueprint indicating those measurements for the Epi LP Special II with a 2 piece Tune-A-Matic bridge system if I can find one on-line. They call those models Epi LP Special II that comes with humbuckers instead of P90's.

    Is it possible to install a vibrato kit onto an acoustic guitar? If so which one would be recommended?

    The left scew is to long and will damage a Les Paul's finish just under the tailpiece. I removed mine and have an eraser size hole.

      We do a lot of international shipping. You should be able to get shipping prices in the shopping cart/check out area once you have your items in the cart: www.amplifiedparts.com/cart

    So if you want vibrato, one can find a good used guitar with a Floyd Rose on it for less than the Bigsby alone.

    NO!
    If you want a differnt guitar buy one. Any alterations will damage the guitar and the value of it. Like a classic car, original is better.

    • @amplifiedparts
      @amplifiedparts  3 роки тому

      The B7 unit and the corresponding V7 unit would not be compatible with an Explorer. A B5 unit and the V5 adapter are developed for guitars with a flat top and a stop bar tailpiece.
