2. They're using mind games/reverse psychology/showing hot and cold behaviors (they get close to you one moment and then push away another)
3. Doing things to make you play your hand (mentioning that they're dating other people, saying certain things, to elicit a response from you)
4. They're "seemingly" unimpressed by your positive accomplishments
5. They discourage you from romantically pursuing them ("Let's be friends", "you deserve better than me", etc etc)

I agree, the others encourage NC a little too much. NC is good for getting over the initial hurt, but if you find yourself reconnecting emotionally with your ex within a few months post break up (like I am), Clay's advice really works. I can't thank him enough. Now to get rid of her rebound... haha.

Mine emails me because she doesn't want her rebound to see. Rebound apparently isn't all that. She also reaches out about every 4 days.

What if my ex talks to me everyday but doesn’t play these games but clearly wants some contact with me
She (very angry) said maybe you should just wash your hands with me so you can move on and do what you want and not feel guilty! I said what? No, I don’t want to move on. I want you. After the phone conversation she blocked me on everything. Is that crisis point/mode? She’s mad that I’m not sitting home moping sad, I’ve been spending time with my friends/family, going places trying to stay busy so I don’t feel overwhelmingly sad.
I’m in this exact scenario, she suddenly told me to move on after talking about patience and wanting us to work and wouldn’t give an explanation as to why she switched like that
@@jamesg8141 look into BPD… my ex struggles with anxiety. Until recent events, that’s all I thought it was. But once I looked int BPD I see where BPD correlates with our entire relationship. Dave demarco and AJ mahari have really informative Chanels on here. Keep your head up friend. It’s been a little over a month and I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. Find friends to talk to, don’t hold it in or beat yourself up. It’s a struggle but take care of yourself. More than likely she blames you for things that aren’t your fault, avoiding accountability. Love yourself friend.

I’m separated 6 months the with my wife and her chief complaint for why she isn’t back is she believes I’m going to go back on my old ways. Last month reconciliation was on the table as we were hanging out quite a bit. Her mother went through something life threatening and she pulled away about 30 days ago.
We went from her saying if we get back together around the end of June she would go on a trip with me then practically overnight we went from flirting to her talking about divorce again.
She still pretty angry with me and has reached out to me and started argument over the last month like she’s testing me non stop. I’ve been non reactive while also respectfully asserting my boundaries.
Stepped up in every way so much so her entire family is watching everything I do. I’m just going to keep going because it’s like they are waiting for me to screw up because my wife is so sure that I’m faking all my changes.

My Ex and I are friends. At first I am the one who initiate to contact him , so I stop for being like kinda needy to him and now he started to initiate contact with me first. And we have a normal conversation. He ask me what I am watching or did I already process my documents. What do you think about it.
What does it mean when you’ve gone 8 months no contact and they block you out of nowhere when you both don’t even speak. I never watched his page because it was hurtful, but noticed his name was blanked out when mutual friends tagged him. Been in a rebound relationship two weeks after we split had me blocked until he dumped her. They got back together a month later in October of last year and he just blocked me again in January. He also keeps posting pictures in the shirt I gave him. We have matching shirts. I think he must be feeling some type of way about me. Still. It’s been almost a year. He’s just trying to see if your still there basically. So when he asks just say you are doing your own thing and focusing on yourself and leave it at that. He wants you to say you havnt forgot

My Ex of 14yrs left 4 months ago, she got into a rebound ot monkey branched the day after leaving. She is doing exactly what you said about connecting and getting close, then pulls away. The past few days when she was calling and texting me everyday, when she's come to the house to pick our daughter up, she's been flirting with me, like trying to play fight, and everytime she walks past she touches me or bumps with with her hip or butt. The past 2 days she's not calling or texting. Kinda sounds like my situation except for I got to my exes house. I left because she told me the day I left “At least he tells me he loves me!” I was so depressed well before the day I left. I begged and pleaded, she finally starting to show interest in me again. Then while she was leading me on she was still having her rebound over. I call it a part time bf because she hardly sees the dude. Long story short once I decided to stop asking to see my daughter everyday(because I would ask everyday if I could see her as she refuses to make a schedule with me) and no contact in general unless about our child, she’s been trying to bait arguments, I ignore it. She hates being ignored. Maybe you’ve been playing your cards right and your ex is starting to look at her feelings towards you again. The longer you ignore her and the more you focus on yourself and your child the more she will fear of missing out. Especially if you’re really making changes in life and tying up all of those loose ends. She will notice, and she will eventually try to get back with you. Now is she working on herself too? Who knows, I usually just try to pay attention to their actions. Words don’t mean shit to me anymore.. hope all is well! If you need someone to vent to get at me and we will figure something out. Plus he video called me and wanted to come and see me and said his you know what misses me AND then he transferred quit a bit of money to my account AND then the used up supply his with that he cheated on with me got hold of his phone and read all the messages and made him block me 🤬
