The greatest guitarist ever to walk this earth. There are and were many brilliant guitarists but Gary was just a cut above the rest. R.I.P Gary. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
Gary Moore was one of the best Rock Blues guitar players in the world. Nobody and I mean, nobody can out. Play him when he was alive. He played with all the Greats. and they were just dumbfounded On how good he was.
Gary was my hero for many years, he had the whole package, play every style, play with emotion slow or fast, many guitar players in my opinion cant play fast and still with emotion.. He is one of the few who controlled his volume all the time and not just blast it away, and then he could sing also.. you should react to the messsiah will come again live montreaux 90, the loner live from sweden 87 and parisienne walkways live from royal albert hall 92. Just to mention a few.. nice reaction I will follow this..😊
Saw Gary lots of times live. No one will ever play with more fire, emotion and feeling. If you dont know him, you're in for a ride. He started out in 1969/70 already and played the ass of everybody through the 70s with hard rockers Thin Lizzy, with jazz/fusion in Collusseum II etc etc. He could play any style. Most versitale player ever.
Gary was taken way too soon, he was truly one of the all time greats. Please check out his duet with the great and legendary B.B.King on 'The Thrill Has Gone'. It's absolutely wonderful. 🙋♂
I honestly believe Gary was one of the finest if not the best guitarist I've ever heard. What stands out to me is Gary's total sound, it's so clean and easy on the ear..... A total master. Please check out Gary's live version of his song 'seperate ways' the live version, you will honestly need to sit down in a darkened room after hearing it i kid you not. Ps, i loved your dissection of Gary as a blues musician 👍
I love Gary Moore's music...guitar and vocals, as well. Both Dan Vasc and Tommy Johansson have Gary Moore covers on their channels. They, too, are terrific! 😀
Parisian walkways at Montreux, separate ways at montreeux, the solo in empty rooms (1987 live performances) his cover of Red house (Blues for jimi) are all worthy of checking out plus many more, Gary was the best ❤
That's not Greenie, wrong pickups. Greenie has covered pups and the neck pup is famously reversed giving it the iconic out of phase sound. The guitar Gary is using here clearly has open coils.
@@chrissilverhand1 You're right, my mistake. I didn't pay any attention to the guitar, just assumed (clearly a bad idea) that he was using it live as it looked right at a glance. Thanks for the correction.
Gary, formerly with Thin LIzzy, took guitar lessons from Peter Greene (early Fleetwood Mac) and Peter sold Gary the famous "Greenie" guitar, the Les Paul with the backwards neck pickup which gives it that bright sound (Kurt Hammet owns the guitar now). This is not the "Greenie" guitar but it has the same brightness you get with the backwards neck pickup. Nice reaction-good info and comments on the various instrumentation.
When you are just a genious and feel the music- I hear so many guitar lessons on youtube as if it sometimes if you studied this you would be able to reach this brilliance like 'Dead Poets Society' about how to create a poem- their are just a few people who seem to be born with a quitar in their hands and feel the music rather than reading and practising music sheets such as Gary Moore, Santana, Slash, Hindrex etc.
I was scratching my head, you looked like someone i knew, you look kinda like Aaron Lewis from Staind (most people won't even know what i'm talking about) :D
I think the guitar that Gary, is playing used to belong to Peter Green, Who used to be the original guitarist for Fleetwood Mac, and that guitar now belongs to Kirk Hammett, It's known as the Greeny.
Too hear the song i have too turn up volume almost to top, please increase on video far to low, if i listen to you normal volume i cannot hear the song, stay safe P.J. UK.
There is an even better version, where he wears all black at that performance, and the video quality is a bit worst. Ah almost forgot 🤣, he made something jawdropping called the messiah will come again. (it is a cover, the original is meh, but he found the potentional in it, and significantly changed, and maxed it out) It is from the same, black outfit concert - i guess. I think that gig was his peak performance.

@@setonhillstudios The messiah will come again is crazy good
It's like a guitar TUTORIAL.
I would say that it’s beyond good, I’d say it’s the best guitar solo ever caught on video. Yep it is that good

Gary wrote this song after losing who he felt was the love of his life. He’s really feeling it.
Mannn! Definitely showing that emotion through his playing! Thanks for the insight!
You have to see the version he did at the Hammersmith.
Next level.
Pure.
Passion.

Truly a work of art! He’s a master of the instrument and a great writer and singer!
Gary number one of les Paul 💪
The king of bends.

That is one of the most famous guitars "Greenie" in all of rock history. It's worth researching.

One of the greats from my neck of the woods. Have you listened to Paco de Lucia? For me, he is the greatest guitarist.
Not yet but we will add him to the list! Love to check out new artists we’ve never heard of! Thanks so much!
