Gary Moore was one of THE best guitarists that ever was. Blues sat real good with him and he played it like no other. I could listen to him all day long.

This next point is not aimed towards Gary but there are probably session musicians that the vast majority of the general public have never heard of, yet they are better players than many more famous than they are.
Gary could make that guitar sing ... and his voice and style are perfect for the blues. This performance is so full of emotion that it gives me the chills.
Whenever I see Gary play, especially live, I just get a tear in my eye. He was just so soulful and he really felt the music. His biggest influence when he was younger was Pete Green, the great blues guitarist with fleetwood mac. That's where he got his famous Gibson Les Paul guitar from.
His solo's give me chills every time, no matter how many times I've hear them. The Loner is one of my go-to songs after a few beers and feeling a bit, well blue.

Great reaction guys as usual, as a 16 year old budding guitarist, I went to see a band called Skid Row in 1970 only for my dreams to be dashed by the performance of a then 15 year old Gary Moore. The guitar by the way is probably one of if not the most famous guitars in the world, I can tell you what kind of guitar that is. It's a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Sunburst. It has a name, "Greeny",it first belonged to Peter Green, founding member of Fleetwood Mac, then owned by Gary and is now owned, and still played on stage, by Kirk Hammett of Metallica, who reputedly paid $2 million for it.
Evan when he was in Thin Lizzy, they sometimes had a slow bluesy sound !! " Rest in Peace Gary ". I think Gary would be proud too know, there is a young generation of guitar players, that have been influenced by his style & the sound of that Les Paul❤😎🎸👌
Gary Moore became famous as a guitarist in Thin Lizzy. He had his own band after that and had some great hits. Gary loved the blues and made several really great blues albums.
Some people have so much talent. It’s not enough he’s one of the best guitar players but his voice is amazing also. He makes his guitar cry…. Gorgeous. RIP , unfortunately.
Glad you got to witness one of the greatest electric guitar players ever. Slow or fast, soft or loud, all played with such precision. He was a perfectionist. Sadly died in his 50’s.RIPGary
The same '59 Les Paul used by Peter Green when Green started the band Fleetwood Mac It went from Peter Green to Moore and is now owned by Kirk Hammett of Metallica. Hammett uses it regularly on tour for their cover of Thin Lizzy's Whiskey In A Jar 👍
Ahh Gary M ... sorely missed ... should listen to "Still in Love With You" live when he was a member of Thin Lizzy ... beautiful and the guitar I'm sure is the ex Peter Green (original Fleetwood Mac) Gibson Les Paul
Wow !!! what I saw in this iconic musical performance, is not only mind blowing skills; but real pain . He lives his personal loss on that guitar. He was literally crying his heart out on his guitar. This was not only a musical performance; but someone pouring his heart out on a stage . I have NEVER senn anything like this. (Now he is in a place where he's experiencing the immensity of God's Unconditional Love. Rest in peace, brother Gary)
Excellent singer and amazing guitarist. Listen song called Empty Room (longer live version in Stockholm). Long live version from Stockholm has extra solos that really show how he can put emotion in his playing. Not the only song with great soloing, but it is my favourite 😁 "Over the Hills and far away" is another great song. There is also "After the War" which is great.
Always has been one of my favorite songs. Love his music. he makes the guitar almost sound like it's crying for that love. Great reaction from both of you. He has been with other bands, and plays it all Hard Rock, Blues, Heavy Metal, and Jazz Fusion.
Gary left us (6 February 2011) a decade ago. He's up in Rock 'n' Roll heaven playing with his good friend bassists Phil Lynott (died: 4 January 1986) from Thin Lizzy once again. That would be great if Cozy Powell is the drummer. You can bet your sweet behind that Gary is playing the blues with both blues legends Albert Collins & Albert King like they did on earth during 1990.
Gary Moore is great! First time ever I heard a song of him was in the "C&A Young Collections"-commercial back in 1991, which was screened before a movie at the cinema. I was young and I was stunned! Never heard anything like this before! Wow!!! I don't remember the movie, but I do still remember the commercial! ^^+gg btw: the song was: "Walking by myself" ... ♥

For more of his blues try Story of the Blues and The Sky is Crying. I saw him, he was incredible, so sad he is gone. Enjoy! 🎸

His "I'd Love To Change The World" has recently been used on TV for either a commercial or a show, I am not sure which. You have probably heard it and know it as the back ground to the 70's.

He put his soul into that. Great performance by Gary Moore.
Gary Moore's song Midnight Blues is great also... he even used that name for his band , Gary Moore and the Midnight Blues band, great reaction!
he really pours his heart and soul into this blues - Irish style - wow!!
Gary will always be in my top five guitarist
Gary Moore became famous as a guitarist in Thin Lizzy. He had his own band after that and had some great hits. Gary loved the blues and made several really great blues albums.
I've always loved that song! One of the best guitar solos ever!! 🩷
Some people have so much talent. It’s not enough he’s one of the best guitar players but his voice is amazing also. He makes his guitar cry…. Gorgeous. RIP , unfortunately.
Gary was one of the truly great blues guitarists of all time. God rest his dear soul.
if I could be given the ability to play one guitar solo it very well may be this song . great song choice , great reaction , love you guys
Such a talent. Great reaction.
This song is my ringtone, because it's simply heartfelt and beautiful. He was amazing d
Glad you got to witness one of the greatest electric guitar players ever. Slow or fast, soft or loud, all played with such precision. He was a perfectionist. Sadly died in his 50’s.RIPGary
One of the greatest guitar players of all time, but sadly underrated by most. The guitar is a 1959 Gibson Les Paul.
The same '59 Les Paul used by Peter Green when Green started the band Fleetwood Mac
It went from Peter Green to Moore and is now owned by Kirk Hammett of Metallica. Hammett uses it regularly on tour for their cover of Thin Lizzy's Whiskey In A Jar 👍
The greatest class !
GARY MOORE USED TO PLAY IN AN IRISH BAND CALLED (THIN LIZZY). FANTASTIC BAND
Ahh Gary M ... sorely missed ... should listen to "Still in Love With You" live when he was a member of Thin Lizzy ... beautiful and the guitar I'm sure is the ex Peter Green (original Fleetwood Mac)
Gibson Les Paul
Cool tidbit
Wow !!! what I saw in this iconic musical performance, is not only mind blowing skills; but real pain .
Not the only song with great soloing, but it is my favourite 😁
"Over the Hills and far away" is another great song. There is also "After the War" which is great.
He was so good at the guitar that many overlook what a great voice he had
There are lots of great guitarists. R.I.P. Gary Moore
Always has been one of my favorite songs. Love his music. he makes the guitar almost sound like it's crying for that love. Great reaction from both of you. He has been with other bands, and plays it all Hard Rock, Blues, Heavy Metal, and Jazz Fusion.
This entire album is an awesome listen. RIP Gary.
Amazing song and amazing performance. Great reaction and RIP Gary
Gary Moore had a special gift. His blues and rock were amazing. Loved his music. Thanks guys for playing him
yeah, one of my fav guitar players.. I have the live cd this is on.. - Blues Alive... great ... from beginning to end.
I love the way most people want to put labels on genres of music. FYI, just about all of what people call "rock" is based on "blues".
Gary Moore was a great guitarist RIP❤ god bless
Gary left us (6 February 2011) a decade ago. He's up in Rock 'n' Roll heaven playing with his good friend bassists Phil Lynott (died: 4 January 1986) from Thin Lizzy once again. That would be great if Cozy Powell is the drummer. You can bet your sweet behind that Gary is playing the blues with both blues legends Albert Collins & Albert King like they did on earth during 1990.
Unbelievably talented..one of the best ever...is that 'greeny' he playing? If so...an absolute legend of an instrument
The BEST version of “The Thrill is Gone” is done by Gary Moore with B.B. King. PLEASE REACT TO THAT SONG!
indeed
You ain't lying
Fav song of all time 🎸 RIP GARY
Gary Moore is great! First time ever I heard a song of him was in the "C&A Young Collections"-commercial back in 1991, which was screened before a movie at the cinema. I was young and I was stunned! Never heard anything like this before! Wow!!! I don't remember the movie, but I do still remember the commercial! ^^+gg btw: the song was: "Walking by myself" ... ♥
Thank you for reacting to this track... one of my all time best tracks, music crosses all borders :)
He did start out as a rock musician but switched to blues. You should react to Empty Rooms live from 1987. Guitar solo is one of his best and it is another heartfelt emotional song. He was an incredible talent.
100% agree, possibly the best guitar solo ever from possibly the best guitarist ever Gary was and always will be a Real Legend, with Bod Daisly on Bass and Eric Singer from KISS my favourite band on drums, saw Kiss in 2019 the most amazing show I've ever seen bar none.
Gary Moore, the guitar god. I am grateful to be able to experience him live in Germany
not only does h 4:12 is guitar cry,but it makes you cry,we have lost the best guitarist in world, rest in peace my friend, and thank you for making me cry snd finding solice, and some kind of peace,
One of the greatest gitar player ever lived. Rip Gary we will never forget you.
Absolute classic performance….still gives me the chills
" The Messiah will come again" from same concert. All instrumental. Gary kills it.
RIP Gary Moore indeed. Yes, he was primarily a hard rocker before his Blues period. Anyway going, he was an amazing talent. He was in Thin Lizzy in the 70s then went onto a killer solo career, try Don't take me for a Loser, Cold Hearted and End of the World. For more of his blues try Story of the Blues and The Sky is Crying. I saw him, he was incredible, so sad he is gone. Enjoy! 🎸
don't forget back on the streets( back on the streets , hurricane ), victims of the future ( teenage idol , shape of things , victims of the future , devil in her heart, murder in the skies , empty room ) , run for cover ( run for cover , reach for the sky ,out in the field , military man) wild frontier , dirty fingers and after the war and his collaboration with Greg lake (nuclear attack ) and coliseum ii like inquisition and dark side of the moog
@@liys540 Yes indeed, he has good tunes from his many collaborations, he was a wonder and hope more reactors give him a try. 🎸
@@vicprovost2561 I could not agree more . It is because I saw a lot of reactors in youtube always choose empty rooms , the loner , still got the blues . Yeah , I know these songs are masterpiece but there are a loads of great songs from heavy metal 80s area and his late 70s fusion area with coliseum. I hope they react to those song
Gary was in a band called Thin Lizzy and they had a black singer, and they ROCKED. I have always loved Gary… please review Empty Rooms… I travel with my job and stay in hotels a lot… an empty room. Sue to my being away from home a lot, relationships haven’t lasted, so I identify with it so much. I hope you’ll do it
There's many great guitar players and he's definitely one.
Keep playing your great music in Rock and Roll heaven Gary
great pick....10 stars....saw him back in the 70's with Thin Lizzy
When Gary goes off it’s like watching a live fucking wizard fighting his inner demons by controlling lightning, unreal and the core of humanitys struggle with heartache..!
"Out in the fields" is another banger of his!
The eyes give it away , Asia really enjoyed that.
WOW This was my ring tone for two years. Two months ago I changed it to ELP's " Karn Evil Nine 2nd impression." The GOAT on piano. Gary Moore was a great guitar player. Next I would do Alvin Lee "No Limit". or from Woodstock "I'm going home" when he was Ten Years After. His "I'd Love To Change The World" has recently been used on TV for either a commercial or a show, I am not sure which. You have probably heard it and know it as the back ground to the 70's.
So glad you guys enjoyed the video. I had the pleasure of seeing Gary live twice when I lived in the UK and he was phenomenal!!!
He makes that Guitar CRY
Gary Moore is/was a phenomenal guitarist....he played in several rock bands back in the day.... already mentioned thin lizzy. As well as Skid row...
I remember the very first time i got dumped, got into my car and turned the key, this song immediately came on the radio and i balled like a baby, that last solo still fucks me up every time
RIP Gary, one of the greats.
Check out Gary Moore The Messiah Will Come live at Montreux Jazz Festival or if you want singing Story of The Blues which is also a great one. You might also check out him playing with Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy in his rock days,Parisienne Walkways.
Moore played with 10CC. Now when Eric Clapton chooses to cover your tune, then you know you've got it goin' on. He was one of Ireland's national treasures.
10CC ??? don't think so...
@@jonnyfox14 Thin Lizzy
Senior moment. 😄Thanks for catching that!
@@dwanpyrtle3134 haha.. no problem.
Wow! I had never heard that before. Absolutely amazing! Thank you for doing a reaction for it.
Loved this and the react too... Would love to see Ya'll do Stevie Ray Vaughan's tribute to Jimi, Live 'One Night in Texas', "Voodoo Child"... Love this channel, you two are a real blessing during my personal quarantine... Thank You!!! 🤩🤩🤩
