THE REALISTIC BIRDS IN THE NEST WERE ADORABLE
Hi Yvonne, My hubby and I know the auction bug, and yes we have waited in 30 mph KS wind with sleet turned to snow to bid on a buffet in a barn that we refinished and have with us 30 years later in Florida! Love the green depression era glass! My grandfather was a carpenter and always carried one of the those wooden "totes" I think you call them. In KS the auctioneer called them "carpenter caddies" just a difference in regions! It was so fun seeing and hearing the actual auction! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing ❤
We went to a sale last summer that had a thunderstorm watch. Ended up turning into a tornado watch…. Nothing happened but on our way home you could see where damage had happened just south of where we were at. The whole time I kept watching the sky. Pretty scary for sure.
You guys had a wonderful haul! Thanks for sharing!
Every time you guys preview an auction I see something I want! The green glass collection! Oh how I wish I had been there, rain and all. We’ve been thru snow, rain and 100 degree heat being addicted to the thrill of winning a bid. The worst I think was a windy bitter cold day where everything outside was coated with frost and inside was freezing and dirty. Kept going back to the truck to warm up. But I got what I went for so it was worth it.
I loved the barn and the animals. I was feeling sorry for you and Chris in the rain. But seems like you did very well in spite of it.
The Robin and babies scream spring. So different and the Canadian goose was cool too! You guys are troopers!
So much to choose from. Favorite frog was the orange, green eyed frog. Our most uncomfortable auction was a 3 hour trip to be to auction at 7:30. Had to park half mile away in Wyoming, MI in January. 18 degrees and we got 69 to get in. It was packed. The only good part about that was bodies doubled as a wind break. Us auction goers are a tough breed.
Turn the totes upside down on a wall and use as a shelf and handle as a towel holder.
Nice haul, hard to pick a favorite. I go to auction's with a friend who collects and sells quilts and I as walk around looking at everything I find myself thinking Yvonne would like this and Chris would like that 😅 Lol. Especially when it goes for a low price!!! Live in Ohio ❤
Love watching your hauls.
Each week I look forward to the journey of Chris n Yvonne. It’s always exciting to see what they got. You both always do well. You have to know my favorite of all is the ironstone. The green glass was actually pretty. I’ve collected some old green glass n some maybe from the depression era. I do love the swan. I’m so proud of my swan w/baby that I bought from you. She’s in a special place so all can see her. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🐈⬛🐈⬛
Wow what a wonderful collection of goods something for everyone . Looked a wet cold day so glad I’m all tucked up in bed watching you 🥰. Love your haul.have a great week love from Ireland ☘️💚
This was an amazing haul! I used to be a reseller with my daughter in law. We had two booths. We have stood outside estate sales in 20 degree weather because they didn’t allow saving your spot. I personally stood in a line for a couple hours in 30 degrees. It’s all about the hunt. I miss it. Watching you makes me want to go back into it! Happy weekend! 😊
What an awesome sale! So glad you got the great Ironstone pieces.
What a haul Yvonne and Chris! Can't say I have a favorite. 😊
I wondered about the black swan. Oh the robins family took my breathe away and the green glass pieces. You guys endured and ended up with wonderful pieces to sell. 😊❤
Great haul! Loved it all, especially the robins.
Love the totes. I once went to a walk around auction out in a field. The actual temp was 104. Heat index Temp was 109. After two people passed out, they brought out free bottles of water and a cooler of popsicles. It was brutal, but I did snag the primitive cupboard at a great price.
I love it all, and the snow and rain haven't stopped me yet.
I loved the realistic birds and believe it or not those wonderful frogs.
Yvonne, we just don’t have auctions like that here in eastern North Carolina! This was amazing. Do you ever see any NC pottery at these auctions? It’s usually marked ‘Seagrove’ and then the maker’s mark. It’s an area in the western part of our state with 6th and 7th generation potters that live and have thrown pottery all their lives. I have a few pieces(very few) of it and BTW, I dropped a piece of it not long ago ($500 value) and broke it; I cried. Thanks for sharing your rainy day experience with us. Enjoyed!
*Yvonne, you purchased some lovely treasures. I have always loved the Forest Green Hocking Depression Glass, and they had some gorgeous pieces, along with the Cobalt Blue examples. 😊*
*It isn't the cold, rainy auctions I remember most. The memorable ones for me are the times my parents, siblings and I went to auctions in the blistering 100 degree heat 🔥 and humidity of our Minnesota summers. Furniture was standing in grassy yards and other items up for auction were displayed on multiple hay wagons and there were no shade trees. ☹️ We were drenched in sweat‼️😰💧However, my parents brought home some of the most beautiful antique furniture, 1800's lamps, glassware, crockery and transferware at those auctions, making them totally worth our discomfort and sunburn.🌡🤒*
Once went to a flea market in Chicago when it was 11 below zero!! Bought an old fashioned megaphone and my legs froze!! It was brutal weather but what a fabulous flea market!!😂😂😂😂
Oh.. I’d be right there with you.
Oh-my-stars...the "Wild Cat Hotel" sign! I probably would have "needed" that for the kitties. I don't get to have kitties right now, but I sure am grateful for moments you share of Peach and Tater. Oooh, and the green glass! I immediately had daydreams of lemonade or tea on the porch (I think I spied water glasses and teacups). What is it about that shade of green? Thank you as always, Yvonne. You are a true blessing and I'm grateful to be able to live vicariously through you. God bless!
Wow!! What an amazing day youins had! Hard to pick one favorite....sooo many yummies gathered in one place! However...the vintage pitchers, dishes and the frog collectionand the vintage Christmas bulbs with the Shiny Brite box! ❤ Everything is great! I don't get to go to auctions very often at all.I do love the atmosphere and excitement of the actual bidding! Thank youins again sharing your day with us! God Bless❤
More amazing finds.
I LOVE THE PAPER ROLL HOLDER AND THE BARN
Love the hand carve goose & the toy barn is awesome.
Crazy amounts for those signs!!!!!!
It sure was
The brass item that you called a letter holder is actually a toast holder 🤷🏼♀️ at least that’s what they’ve told me up here in New England
It’s gorgeous.. probably the best one I’ve ever picked.
Yvonne 🎉you are close to 10k Are you close to getting Chris home yet? I've been pulling for you guys! Love everything about you..Traci in Michigan ❤
Aww.. thank you. Not quite yet🙏
I love the green glass pieces you picked up. Rarely see all those green pieces
Your right.. We don’t see that green often
👋🏻 The toast rack would be cute to hold eyeshadow pallets.
I need that blue and brown pottery bowl! I love the lil barn!! ❤ great scores!
😊😊😊 thanks for sharing
I like the wrapping paper holder! I see them in Home tour videos and would love one but I don't have a place for one!
Hi from Skegness UK, fantastic buys and the freebies 😂 looking forward to seeing what you transform them ❤
Awesome! Thank you
Shoot, a favorite? I love it all. Good score..
Oh, you were able to snag some wonderful items. I love the ironstone cracker jar!
Wow, what awesome pieces, I love auctions there so fun. ❤️
2:27 wow they didn’t provide more lighting? Nice barn though. 4:09 now to some interesting stuff 4:28 that’s a lot of glassware 5:02 that’s very unfortunate that the tags are getting soaked. 9:12 I’ve never been to an estate sale or auction but I keep trying to. 11:53 that’s an usual enamel bowl & ladle 15:02 love the green ware so unique
I love the frog collection & the green glass!!❤
Hello from West Texas!!!! What a fantastic haul.
Hello!!👋
Love all of your finds !!!
Another hi 👋🏻 from Australia 🇦🇺
Love the “box of 🐸 “. 💚
The worst weather at a farm sale was at the end of October. It was snowing almost a blizzard. At times you could not see the auctioneer let alone hear him. We are in Ontario Canada.
Love the green glass & the goose or duck!!
Great haul Yvonne, I’m wanting to collect Ironstone. I do have a couple of pieces. I actually bought the 4 butter pats from you. I want to find some Ironestone pitchers.
I hope you find some 🥰
I knew you were gonna pick up those Robins :) If I would have been there it would be a knock down drag em out. The detail on those was unreal. I also knew you would get a goose. Chris What a great find on the propane pumpkins and the handmade barn and animals. Are you gonna display your sign outside for decoration? So many great things. Was a great day after all despite the weather. God Bless, Hugs, Rebekah
Went to an outdoor house/farm/contents auction. It was over 100* with 95% humidity and there was not one tree on the property. Absolutely no shade!
Awesome ironstone!!
Oh my goodness, that glass coffee container matches the tea container I have from my mother. I’d love to buy it if you plan to sell it.
That’s the ultimate auction! Wow so much good stuff I’d need a trailer 😂
I've only been to one auction. Addicting.
Thanks
Thank you ❤
A lot of good stuff 😃👍
We were headed down US 35 from the Twin cities to Owatonna in the late fall to a large auction and get caught in an early blizzard. We made it to the auction which was part inside and outside. It continued to get worse and had to ger a hotel room for the night. US 35 was shut down and the auction was a bust!
Good pyrex score!!
Great haul. I like the Robin family set
I was hoping you would.get one of those wooden goose
Me too🥰
That was a great auction. Y’all did sooo good!
❤❤❤
I was hoping you got the canadian goose. I love it!!
Hi from Australia👋🇦🇺
Awesome!
Love your hauls💕💕brown transferware💕💕
Great haul!!
❤❤❤❤❤
I have the red stacking glass Christmas tree that belonged to my Mom.
California here. We ain’t got no blow molds. 😂
Another Aussie 👋👋
Awesome!
Awesome!
No Charming Tails? I am absolutely shocked at the prices the gasoline and station signs were going for. Every once in a while I’ll catch American Pickers on when Jack is vegging in the living room thinking Mike is NUTS when he pays so much for signage but watching your post tells me these things are bidding war pieces and very pricey!!! I don’t really ever have a favorite piece when you and Chris share your treasures but I was just curious if the charming Tails would come home for vignettes!!!:):):)
There were so many of them.. and I don’t know much about their resell. Other than they are cute.
Yes.. signs are definitely a bidding war thing.
Yvonne…there is little to no value in any of the figurines such as calico kittens, charming tails cherished teddies or Boyd’s bears. I have a big collection of Boyd’s and teddies but I love them so not planning to get rid of them. You on the other hand would be dusting them forever and a day I fear🙃
@@vickiulrich6694 I love the Calico Kittens. They are never over $5 or $6 down here in Tennessee.
That green glass Christmas tree is awesome. Are you selling it?
I love watching, but you move too fast in your videos makes me dizzy, just fyi😊
Is that field stone in that barn?
All of those SHELL goodies!! I retired from SHELL OIL REFINERY in Deer Park, TX in 2020 & have quite the hord from my office. LOL
I would have loved this auction~
Would you ship the barn with animals, to Ohio, if I wanted to buy it?
Also the Robin's nest with baby robins in it?
Hey ms. Yvonne! I had a few questions. Do I have a contact email address where I may ask u about some items?❤
In my description box
Love watching your hauls!
Great finds! Thanks for taking us along!❤
Awesome auction! I loved it all but especially the green glass candy tower. I had a clear one at one time but gave it away. I've never seen gteen! (And never seen clear again!)
A cold rainy day in Minnesota!! Glad wear!!
Love the green stuff!!
LOVE the goose and sifters! And those signs were wow even though I couldn’t believe the cha ching prices. Fun haul!! 😊
Thank you for taking us along! Love everything you purchased! Ironstone is my favorite.
Robins in the nest was my favorite. I can not believe how real they looked.
Great haul once again!🥳 Love the giant ironstone jug!
Love the awesome pieces you found today.
I like the basket the glass fruit came in!
110 degrees at an estate sale all day!!!
Can't just pick one but if I have too the bird nest that is a beauty looks so real ! But everything you got is amazing ! I have some things I bought at the thrift stores not knowing what they were worth ? And my brother said I should Google them so I did & Wowzer I just don't know where to start so I guess I'll just keep them around until I figure something out !?Enjoyed your videos as always ! 😊❤
I’d keep the birds ealistic
Green tree and both bird nests💖
Loved the shopping, you purchased some great things. If I had been there I would have purchased all the Charming tails by Frits and Floyd. I collect them and boy did she have a lot. The realistic birds were a Great find.
That was fun! My favorite find was the layered green glass tree... but I also liked the brass toast/mail holder, and much more! Fun haul!
Hi from Kansas! Yes, we call the totes carpenter caddies, but totes work. What a great haul! Loved 🥰 everything
You got some great items!
That was so much fun!! I felt like I was right there with you
