He is a gentleman and this is rare today...ha...he's as rare as the antiques he loves! Thank you for sharing your knowledge George. I've learned so much from you. God Bless!
I have to tell you how much I appreciate your approach to buying at estate sales, malls , thrift stores, flea markets. You tell us what to look for and a history of the pieces and fair pricing! I click on others and they are dingbats! They don't know anything and just quickly pan over items and miss all the good things people would be interested in seeing.I love it when you go to estate sales!!!
Love this educational channel. George is definitely a great teacher. My house looks like a museum. I always say I don't decorate: I curate. This channel speaks to me and my way of living.
Thank you for sharing the appraisal-day information with us. We learn so very much from you! You are kind, and really take the time to connect with each person that brings you their treasures.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! I appreciate how kind you are with each person. Your ability to teach and connect is a rare gift, and we are all very lucky to benefit from it.
Hey George, I’m junkin granny’s sister who turned her on to Native American everything! It was so good seeing her talking with you, I haven’t seen her in some time. She lives in Washington and I live Florida so… I adore your appraisal videos, I learn so much! Just wanted to say hi!
Hey sis!! Wish you had been there with me!! When he’s back in FL you’ll have to track him down!! Bought a really AnnMarie Davidson enameled copper plate with a Kachina on it !! 🥰 His booth was great and the Lander Street Vintage store was amazing!!! Could have spent days and lots of $$… 😬
Good evening, George. Love these appraisals! That painting, in the old frame, found in a crawl space, was interesting. I keep thinking I've seen that painting somewhere. The Tiffany wedding ring set was a great find, and in a car seat, no less. I would've guessed the mercury glass enameled piece would've been a base that a brass oil lamp font would went into, but had been long removed. That was interesting information on that piece. It's always so interesting to see what people bring to be appraised. Thanks for letting us in on the action!
Thanks! I have fun doing them for certain. The painting seems like a copy of a famous painting from the era by a California artist I can't recall. I was so torn on whether the mercury glass base held an oil lamp, it seems like a 50/50 possibility still. I always enjoy seeing what people find!
@@TheAntiqueNomad If that was the base to an oil lamp, it would've likely had a spider and a matching mercury glass shade that sat on it. Either way, it was a beautiful piece!
Thank you George for doing these types of things and inviting all of us to watch you. I’m learning so much from you about glass and antiques and I really appreciate your knowledge and you sharing it with all of us. I love the fact that you go all over the United States, and try to help as many people as you can identify their treasures. Thank you for helping me out with a couple of my treasures. I really appreciate it. You continue to do what you do and I promise you I will be watching your videos and learning all I can about the antiques that I have and learning about other antiques. Thank you so much again. KAT from Birmingham, Alabama.
WOW did not realize they made a 2 1/2 gold dollar that was new to me. I haven't seen anyone dig one with the metal detector. That gold mercury enameled glass was cool and beautiful. Thanks for sharing and you have a great day with safe travels
Great video! I do have to say though I was distracted by the lady in the background that was taking a picture of you while you were discussing those Harvest Gold cats! She was quite the character!😅
I did enjoy this video very much! Thank you for graciously sharing your knowledge George. It was so helpful and kind of you to show the woman how to tell a printed signature from an original signature. Also the Murano piece was a gorgeous shade of pink and fun to see.
George, your knowledge of antiques is amazing. It is very clear that you love what you do and how excited you get when looking at treasures. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us ❤😊
George, You are amazing! I have learned so much from your videos . Also, listening to you speak it is not only informative but also relaxing. “Love your name as I mentioned to you ones before my husband and son names are George. Thank You we enjoyed the video. Arrivederci!
Maybe the mercury glass piece was an urn that someone used as a vase. Love all the appraisals - I prefer to see the people too, not just the items! I don't know why, lol
I'd love to see the rosewood desk where you're sitting. I keep all of my Murano bowls. Well worth more to me than their market value. Sometimes things won't sell for what they're really worth, and that's unfortunate. I couldn't spend that same money on something I want more, so they're in my collection.
Especially loved the stories behind the pieces. What power magnification is the loupe you are using? I was amazed at what you were able to read with it.
Hi George, I love your show and respect your knowlege. Wish I knew half as much! So interested in the Goodwill find "container." Because I'm a florist I feel the proportion of this piece is too short to be made for an arrangement, and "something" is missing. (like you said!) I also think that's the reason the girl is not able to identify it on line. That floral putty would have been used recently and not revealing it's original purpose. Wow, I want to go to her Goodwill! Nice going on dating it! It must have come from an estate. Very pretty.
Hola George 🖐️ Que guapo te vez Amigo! 😎 I ❤ appraisal videos. So much fun. Oh lovely to see folks say "nice to see you in person" I can totally relate 🤩
Hey guys ..what's that quote he says ..in reselling you better have the best one ,the only one or .... ? I cannot remember and I want to pass it along.great motto
I collect unusual stuff like a porcelain doll with the head and hands of a cat, in a victorian dress with human feet and a tail, wearing a vitorian dress. The back of her head says Samantha 01 and the only thing I could find similar was a boy cat/human doll. I also have a unique footed dish that looks porcelain and old. I also bought a Nancy Lee daisies in a bsket picture for 15 dollars and found the perfect frame for it. I haven't seen a daisy painting like the one I have. I have a box with a lid and velvet lining. and old wine decanter. antique oil lamps, very old cat figurines, vases, books, and bolored glass items. I'd love to meet George to tell me what he knows about the stuff I can't find info on.
Hi George. I have a piece of jewelry that a friend gifted me before she died. I live in Southern Oregon. Where do I take jewelry to get appraised? Can any jeweler do it? Or do I need to look for someone special? It’s an old pawn squash blossom necklace with tons of turquoise but I can’t find a silver marking on it
Hi George, I would like to invite you to my thrift store. It's in Lewisburg KY, very close to you. Maggie's Finds is right on 431, next to Gowers Drugs. Open Mon-Fri 11-6, Sat 11-4. Hope to see you!

Floral putty is for silk flowers or to hold an additional piece. If the intended use was real flowers it has no liner.
Those cast iron columns are phenomenal. Would love to have them
That is gorgeous
George, as I watch the play back, I am curious about your working at the zoo. I must have been chatting 😂 when u mentioned that.

Hi Miss Wildlife
Bisbee blue turquoise??, i live in southern Arizona the ring reminds me of Bisbee Blue.
I think the silver dollars are worth a lot more than $65 each, because of their condition!
