yeah it says, how does it feel to lose? there are people like that who you think are concerned but really they want to rub it in your face and talk about it.
Very impressed how well Chris was prepared for this interview. I think you can only get this far with someone when you have a personal and abiding interest in the topic.
Dude, your interviews are excellent as well as the studio setup, editing, shots, lens choices, lighting, etc.! Very very well done. Checks all the boxes. Great work!
@@lancewilliams8001 Arnie Rivalies were many, but the most important competition wise was Arnold vs Sergio.. then vs Lou.. and then vs MIke.. but with mike was more about politics, personality and principles..
I don't know what's better jay chasing colman until colman got much worse and jay finally surpassed him. Or phil and kai who were neck and neck for years and years.
Kai vs Phil was def the biggest fued. They really had tension..both of them had very unique looks. Phil was already rich then, Kai was struggling. Light vs dark
Kai wasn't struggling, had muscle meds deal & winning 100k-150k for 3 years probably had other sources of income ,whilst living a minimalist lifestyle. He chose the simple less flashy life & that made him seem like he was struggling
True!! After Kai stopped competing the open category started to decline and even more once Phil lost and didn't come back in 2019. It's no longer the most interesting thing at the Olympia like how it was when Kai and Phil competed.
7:50 I would have called ya too bro! No matter what I lost and respected the guy who beat me. I would root for Kia being from NJ and seeing him since way back, but I knew Phil was the guy to beat. NY guys call each other names that we LOVE.
It’s amazing how Kai Green can be the the biggest person to call and console Phil on his loss, yet Phil is still able to find a way to ruin it with his conceitedness and not acknowledge how great it really was and how much it must have took for Kai to do it despite the rivalry that they had…
Phil & Kai should straighten everything out offline, then do a podcast together where they keep up the rivalry act. They could be a very entertaining duo like Eddie Hall & Brian Shaw !
off state, the rivalry was so huge because Phil has a huge Ego, and Kai somewhat also, although came out back in the day as more likeable, while Ronnie also was somewhat like Kai in that sense with enough big ego and strong confidence of him being the best, but Jay was the most downtoearth dude and chill, so it was hard to create a true unanimity and tense rivalry with someone like Jay.
Dude your interviews are absolutely top notch and the production quality is always amazing. This interview is great. All that being said. The set and setting looks so uncomfortable. Are you guys in a sweatshop, at a high school cafeteria lunch table, sitting on hard metal chairs with absolutely no cushioning at all? I feel for Phils back and butt from sitting in that chair that honestly looks so uncomfortable I can’t handle it
Incredible I'm glad, Greg called him after he lost. What an incredible time of bodybuilding are the Phil Heath age I think he probably passed the time I don't know
thank you this question to The Gift! Kai Greene was absolutely one of my favorite bb's of allll time... i remember wanting to flex next to one of my boys to just reenact the time they tried to upstage each other by engaging in that elbow war in 2014
Phil heath has the best bodybuilding genetics probably ever, especially his response to the drugs and skin texture. He just took it too far with the HGH in his later competitive years. He could have had 10 olympias but im sure he started upping certain doses that he didnt need to near the end of his career and it caused him to have severe reaction (gut area)
His brachioradialis (forearm muscle on the top of the forearm that ties into the bicep) is literally bigger than a lot of people's arms. Only one that comes even close is Flex Lewis
Kai never stood a chance against Phil for the Olympia title. Politics were always in Phil’s favor and he had a more aesthetically pleasing build despite Kai’s undeniably dense and defined muscle. Phil’s claim as the GOAT is also contentious - while he’s remembered fondly now he wasn’t always a fan favorite during his reign. Ronnie Coleman always had the judges and people on his side - he is the true GOAT of the modern era.
My own take - the Jay vs. Ronnie feud was better because Jay won 4 titles and Kai hasn't won that Olympia title. Jay conquered the mountain top, Kai didn't and to be honest the competition couldn't keep up with Phil. He was on another level. The trash talk was all they had for years because Phil knew (and the crowds) that Phil was basically a god among men. You can disagree but the facts speak for themselves. 7 titles.
Yeah, everyone needs to look up the controversy surrounding the 1980 Mr. Olympia. Arnold should have never been allowed to compete, let alone win. He didn't even deserve a top 10 finish.
I was always cheering for Kai over Phil when they competed. But, let's be honest, there really was no rivalry from a performance standpoint--Phil was always better
How self absorbed is Phil Heath… I’m the best ever. Dude Dexter Jackson was there when you were in HS and still there holding his own at your 3rd place showing in 2020. 20 Mr. Olympia appearances. Say what you want.. the longevity and success of his career outshines your Sandows.

Kai vs Phil was the last time the Olympia was fun and entertaining to watch

A Kai Greene interview would be fantastic.A very humble and competitive man.👍
I dont think he wants to be called a man
a very big man who likes to put a weener in a grapefruit xd
Pass. That dude is a weirdo
Kai talks too much
Kia is fluent in gibberish. He tries too hard to sound smart and he ends up sounding dumb.
"they didn't beat the Phil i know" maaaaan to have your rival say that 😢🙏
i was such a kai fanboy during the height of their feud, but being older now and hearing phil talk im such a fan of the guy
Never knew about that call. Made me feel like a teenager again hearing him talk about Kai. Incredible.

kai and phil should start a podcast together, i think it could be the greatest show in bodybuilding
I appreciate what kai did, spice things up,give us a show, like wwe but not going too far
The greatest rivalry was between Cutler and Coleman. Kai and phill was kinda forced by the industry
Agree.
Bigger than arnie and Mike

Of course Kai was always operating on a higher level.
Umm. He earned the right to boast. Its not conceit. IT'S earned privilege to talk smack. Bodybuilding competition is cutthroat.
He literally said how he appreciated it during that moment of him talking about it. 7:38

Having a rival like Kai green only makes you better and work harder. Great rivalry made the completions enjoyable to watch
I think Phill wanted this to be the biggest rivalry.. but I remember back in those times, they were still talking about Jay and Ronnie.
Disagree, Phil’s and Kai’s actual distaste for each other made their rivalry interesting. Ronnie and Jay came off as two regular dudes just having fun
