Im a disabled vet. 6 years ago I found out I have cancer that has destroyed my endocrine system. It was give up, or fight back. Just like saying he laid in the road and heard nothing. After my consult, I sat alone, heard nothing. Im still here and Im better for it. His story makes me appreciate what he has done even more.
Phil just broke another boundary for body builders !! Thanks to the pivot podcast 🙏🙏🙏 y’all boys solid man keep inspiring keep pushing most importantly keep loving one another 💪🏾
“Im Damn glad no cars hit you.” -RC DAMN that line hit deep for me who also tried suicide when I was 18 but I’m alive at 27 still kicking it. Anyways Channing made this episode be hilarious haha and Freddy with the DEEP questions . What show… keep at it !
I love when yall introduce someone new to me. His story resonates so much! Most kids that dont the pro dream have to pivot and find their identity. It sucks, ive laid in the road myself. Thank you guys for this one!
The reason this podcast is great is because nothing is forced, they ask real difficult questions, and they aren’t afraid of confrontation. Excellence & black excellence at that.
nah this was hard. been in therapy. was supposed to play at my dream school but thought I was going to marry my dream gal. so i passed up the school and got cheated on. I battled--I'm about to graduate with a degree in CS. this is the conversation a lot of young men dont wanna have. I'm only 23 but i appreciate this so much
This was such a great episode. The versatility in who the pivot is interviewing is unbelievable. This has opened my eyes to a lot. I have contemplated suicide and I’m happy to still be here. It’s been rough for me, but I’m blessed to be standing here today. I appreciate this episode because it has brought much clarity. Thank you so much
Top tier show! Since the beginning these guys have delivered. Love the variety of guests and watching RC, Channing, and Freaky Fred grow throughout the lifetime of this show. Props to Phil Heath for sharing some of his experiences on this episode. 👏🏾 to RC with the Chadwick Boseman shirt. Bravo.
They rocked this one. I wasn't expecting Phil Heath as a guest. I'm glad I watched this one. This one could've went longer it was getting good. Great advice when Phil spoke about people getting their physical on the regular. A good majority of men of color are afraid of the doctor visit.
Man this is interview is AMAZING! I MET Phil YEARS AGO and he was the exact same genuine dude that he was in the interview. Much Respect to Phil and to you guys for what what you’re doing!
This became one of my favorite things to watch easily every show is a banger🔥 Y’all all fit into it so perfectly much love to all of you for doing this💪🏼
I have been a Phil Heath fan since his first Mr.Olympia. I have listened to a plethora of his interviews and I have never heard the laying in the street story until now. Shout out to the Pivot Podcast!!
Agreed and growing up in seatown and losing friends to suicide and violence. Finally getting away. Being suicidal myself. Growing up around the gangs and shootings and being a brotha and a fan of the sport. This hit home more than u can imagine. Def award deserving.
This was outstanding. I had never heard of him, because I don't follow bodybuilding, but after this I'm a fan! Inspiring story, and he seems to be very humble.
15 mins and this is one of the best podcast episodes I have ever listened too and I spend way too much time on this app watching pods……much respect for PH and the Pivot guys for talking about an issue that so many people feel
Can we literally solidify this as the best podcast out? There is nothing negative you can say about it. The chemistry, the questions, the guests, the locations of each show, the topics. You name it, they don’t miss. I find myself saying, they can’t beat this episode and somehow they find a way to prove me wrong. Phil’s message to wanting to educate US about the sport as well as taking accountability of his actions speaks volumes as to who is was and now who he is. Love brothers
This is the blueprint for greatness! No other shows compare. Amazing interview!!! You guys deserve an Emmy, or whatever award is available for great streaming content 100%. Keep doing BIG things my brothers!
I remember the comments that were said about Heath, and just took it as someone who was super confident and excelled at everything….hearing his story from himself, suprised the heck out of me and made him more human; good show as always.
One thing about this show...it really shows u that all these greats that we think are superhuman...that they actually have gone thru some very dark times in the past and some even now...mental health and hard times either make or break u...everyone needs someone to lean on!!
This Podcast should be so much bigger, Chan, RC and Fred you guys are all role models to the young black men in the world! Thank you for shining a light on these major issues .
This show is goin to good directions and different genres is really great. It’s different from other podcast and only having great conversations where their guest can open up to a personal level. Keep up the great work guys. Would like to really see phil heath against kai green again on a competition
I love this podcast. Every week I’m here. Awesome to see Phil Heath as a guest, awesome to see him in this environment with other brothers. You guys really know how to bring the walls down & allow guests to delve into their stories authentically.
I'm glad when people talk about their experiences with suicide. My situation wasn't that I didn't hear anything, it was just a lot of noise in my head that wasn't real. My loved ones that I was preparing to leave were being checked off in my head until my son showed up. At that moment, everything came to a slamming hault and I came back to reality. It was noisy af in my head, but in reality, there was no sound at all. It was deathly quiet. At that moment, I realized I had to make A LOT of changes. BTW, I never comtemplated suicide. The pain got so intense and the decision was made out of no where. Its a literal psychotic break created by pain, depression and hopelessness.
So good to hear someone talk to someone that struggled with suicide and someone that never did. Sometimes you think "damn nobody else feels this feeling" but you know they do, so sometimes you'll think, "damn, everyone else deals with this feeling so well. Why am I the one that's struggling to deal" Stay strong homies, one moment at a time, the cloud will pass
I used to HATE "the gift" and now you can't do nothing but appreciate his greatness. I loved the boys touched on that. Oh and RC is back to killin it with the sweater
Thank you, gentlemen, for continue to think outside the box with these interviews. You keep putting guest on that I would never think you would interview. I appreciate how you are able to get the guest to open up and gives us the real on what is going on in their life. This is therapy to a lot of us who watch the Pivot. Great Job Gentlemen!
These conversations always leave me with little nuggets that I hope to implement into my mindset and lifestyle. Shout out Pivot podcast for engaging in meaningful conversations!
The title of this show is impactful because at some point of every podcast that I've watched, every guest has had a Pivot moment in their lives. And they've mentioned the word Pivot genuinely.Kudos to the fellas that came up with the title of this podcast!!!.
Phil was for sure and still is under appreciated his statement about staying for his fans. He stopped leaving the gym at the Arnold in Ohio and we spoke for 20 minutes about bodybuilding and his influence on the business aspect the likes of him and jay cutler help advance. Great guy
I absolutely cannot with Channing 19:13. hahahah I was glued in on Phils testimony and then Channing chimes in with " Your pivot was forced by Laying in the G*****n road..." Hahaha this guy. I love this show

Love this podcast. Great show. I laugh and cry every show. Its nice to see the multiple facets of brothas. Its great to see "elite" brothas have regular life trials and triumphs like the rest of us.

The mental health talk in this episode was so real guys. Thank you for talking about it. Thank you Phil for opening up and showing that the biggest, strongest guy in the room can still talk about it. Get rid of the stigma. 🙏👍💪
First 15 mins and I’m already in my feelings! Keep it up boys! Love this podcast! Keeps me going at work knowing I can listen to this stuff. And you guys being part of happy dad and fullsend is pretty Fkn dope too! 💙💙
Ryan was an instigator on this episode. I cried laughing at how much Fred tried to pivot the conversation and Channing went back to sex. Great episode. Keep up the great work guys and thanks Phil for sharing your journey.
Western Australia, March 2014. Phil’s doing a meet and greet signing at a Supps store. Line is around the corner. Supp store says, you buy, skip the line. I don’t. I’m there for Phil. Time is up, signing should be over. I’m still in line. 2hrs later, Phil is still there. I get to meet him, shake hands and have a photo. I thank him for staying. He THANKS me for waiting. That was my piece of Phil, and he didn’t leave me hanging (42:20). Ever grateful Phil, thank you.
