I'm 56 years old and disabled. Going to get back to bodybuilding. This fires 🔥 me up. On December 24, 2021, I fell and lost my balance which includes my strength in my legs. In other words, I couldn't walk but crawling. Went to the hospital to recover and to rehabilitation. Later, I recover strongly and went home on February 15. I had a physical therapist came to my house for leg 🦵 exercises. Two months later, I started to perform 100 bed situps and 100 wheelchair push-ups ♿ for 6 months. I became more stronger than ever before. My walking 🚶♂️ is improving and continuing to do exercise daily 💪. More to come in 2023.
Great work man, good luck to you and keep up the recovery! 💯💪
You got this 💪🏾
Keep it up brother!
God bless you. Keep pushing
Good luck. God bless
Bruh this man Shannon sharpe is 54 & this dude built better than some of the players in the NFL 🤯
SOME? Built better than MOST
Snausages bruh
I’m half his age he’s in better shape than me
He likes saying right too. 😅
If you think he is natural, you are as goofy as those who thought Liver King was too
Wow. The “dealing with Depression” section was on of the most compelling interviews I’ve ever seen with an athlete. Someone who had to really deal with the realities of your own individual limits and then moving beyond those to something else and excelling in it to the highest level. Really special conversation. Didn’t know Phil Health before this. What a guy
As someone who lifts 5-6 days a week, this was one of my favorite episodes. I watched the entire episode. Salute to both of you!
Phil Heath looks like a super jacked Kurt Angle from WWE. Also, this is by far the best episode of Club Shay Shay for me. I just like that Shannon is out and about. The production team did a great job with the camera work and light sound track.
I thought Kurt too🤣🤣
He the real perc angle 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's a great comparison
Man I use to think Phil was Kurt Angle son 😂🤣🤣😂
And Shay is shouting less in this one. My ears are saved
Man seeing Shannon do this at age 54 is inspiring. He looks like he’s got the body of someone 20 years younger. Keep up the great work!
He takes TRT & works hard
@@n_a8917 Nothing wrong with it
thats is what happens when you train for 20 years
@@markusstevensakabiginfinit9523 I was gonna say the same thing... That TRT tho 😂
He’s on TRT but nothing wrong with it tbh, your test goes down as you age
This really was his best episode by far..Phil was so chill. The funny thing is that you get to see just how big Phil is standing next to Shannon, and Shannon isn't small at all.
At his peak 245 to 255 shredded, his muscle bellys are so good he was one of the lighter guys on stage and still look as big as the 280 to 300lb dudes
Phil is just a sentient muscle mass at this point lol dudes a beast
@@jasonreyna7615 keep my mind every time. Impressive condition at that weight
Mad props to the people holding back the urge to walk up to these two legends so that they could get their( Shannon and Phil ) workout in
Edit
I’m sure they saw the camera man and knew not to interrupt lol
It looks like this is Golds Venice. If so, the locals are used to famous people in the gym. Arnold still works out there on a regular basis and a lot of famous bodybuilders and fitness people shoot social media videos in there.
@@fvozay pretty sure its edited from start to finish
Phil Heath literally gave more game in one workout video than ive watched in most workout people videos over the past 10 yr. 😮
True, that triceps movement where you push up instead of directly up was dope
@@starfireprincess soon as i saw that i said, oooo new movement 😭
Or like shannon put it ”Phil Health”🤣
@@KingJCJ if you’re looking to up your workout game check out the NSCA’s (national strength and conditioning association) publications, especially the book titled « essentials of strength and conditioning, 4th edition »
Can't believe how much Shannon's channel has grown. When he inevitably leaves Undisputed he's set himself up just great.
The way skip spews nonsense I'm shocked Shannon is still on. He was raised way too well to be dealing with skip but he's the only reason I watch the show. Keep it up Shannon!
@@DBShikamaru Getting $3million/yr will help you put up with most things....
@@itshiho oh I would put up with anything for that check lol. I just figure Shannon's too established as a whole. If he resigns when this contract is up I'd be a little disappointed
@@DBShikamaru Yeah I don't know what he's done with his finances since he retired around 20 years ago but he only made $22 million, not a lot compare to players nowadays so he probably needs this salary lol.
@@DBShikamaru lol same. I think it's funny how people overreacted to skip talking crazy to him early this week.
If I'm getting paid as much as he is, I can put up with the garbage that comes out of Skip's mouth.
It's three hours a day to listen to him talk about Brady, Bron, cowboys and Baker.
Phil Heath is a true student of the game. I love how he gave credit to everyone who inspired him to be great
Imagine just working out at your local gym and seeing these 2 legends in there ☠️
That's what I'm thinking lol like well, there went my workout because I'm watching them the entire time 😂🤔
Only place they can get away with this is the Mecca lol so many legends on fitness and sports pop up in there
@@ldturner yup. But I did notice a few people in the back having their phones out and recording them at times in the video
@@MikeBNumba6 oh yea that definitely happens you snap a video from a safe distance and get a picture when they are on their way out
It’s not ur local gym
I hope Shannon makes this a thing, it would be cool to see how different athletes workout and maximize performance in specific actions
Co sign…. He can do a series on training alone.
@Unc you see what the people want!
I hope he meets Michael Jordan.
Yes a series with different sportsmen would be super🎉🎉
As an avid sports fan and competitive bodybuilder, this is a crossover from the gods 🙏🏾
I watch these two daily and never thought I’d see them in the same video
Great episode, taking the EGO out of our lifts and allowing the muscles to control the resistance instead of momentum is definitely the more challenging and effective workout. The insight and topics in this one was well worth the time...two dedicated professionals that still perform at above average levels.
I had a pretty unfair impression of Phil based on what you read and the media stuff. He seems like a super down to earth dude honestly. Fair and honest in his responses. Im glad this episode happened. As an older guy trying to get into shape and get strong for the first time in my life the honesty was good for me. Also pointing out the ineffectiveness of ego lifting, which I am definitely guilty of currently? I needed to hear some of this.
He changed, he wasn't always like this
Fake news, haters, propaganda, he’s not the first one to get this Hate unecessary, we just had a President labeled the same way, sad
@@londo7451 actually u r totally and completely full of sh$& Phil was the first Olympia to come through social media, the hate on him was real, he tried to defend himself and clapped back and the little fake wokes got all offended and basically tried to cancel the man, no diff then what the mob is doing now to censor speech and cancel anyone that doesn’t agree
Phil when he was on top especially when he lost he wasn’t like this but he’s come a long way I’m glad he’s like this now
@@londo7451 this is actually untrue he’s always like this people just always like to hate on a confident champion
This collab was absolutely “EPIC” these two gentlemen having fun, learning, and sharing wisdom. An absolute masterpiece 💯💯💯
Phil is a really honest and good coach. You can tell he really cares about people’s goals. Gives his 110% when teaching. Great guy.
Huh? Great guy? Do you know him personally?
Hes Great. So Great guy.
Phil is so humble and has a wonderful spirit; is clearly knowledgeable and gifted instructor. Thank you for this interview 🙏🏽
Shannon finally met the plug 😂
Shay about the be dumb shredded now LOL
2 of my favourite guys. Love these guys💪💪
What does that mean?
@@jamiealexander7065 the juice plug 😂😂
@@Brose_Canseco I still don't know what that means. They are both on AAS, so what am I missing?
This pod is top tier, Shannon at his age and always has been a specimen. To see him bring in Phil wasn’t on my radar. Quality production and vibes.
roads
Phil Heath seems like such a cool, honest, and chill guy. Humble and intelligent! Great video!
As a 52 year old woman Shannon inspires me to think it is never too late to get into shape and find a way to maintain it. I hope Phil knows in his lowest and darkest times many of us out here love what he has done, what he has shown us, and the human face he puts on the many situations he has had to face in his life.
Except he didn’t get in shape late. He been in shape since he was a teenager.
Always enjoy these real life type videos. Seeing two real guys talk and workout together knowing what they both have accomplished in their own fields is great, no egos just two real men helping out each other….great!!!
Shannon don’t need undisputed my more, especially after how Skip disrespected him today. This show is gold
You predicted it 😂
Phil definitely put a lot of things in perspective when working out. We can tend to ego lift and go for the heavier loads, when we really should just focus on something we can maintain to reduce the stress put on our bodies.
Shannon looks great. I hope I'm still in great shape in 11 years. Whatever works for my age & body type.
Yes lifting big weights don't do nothing but damage your body reason I always do half hour of running or running then get to a respectable weight to lift.
@@mikewootson2675 that’s actually the wrong way to do it unless your main focus is running if it’s the weights why are you spending so much time running? Don’t take this as me going against Phil this is me saying warm up with your main focus a 5-10 minute walk on the tread mill or bike is plenty 30 minutes running is a waste of energy
@@hansoloburger2322It really isn’t unless you focus is only to look good on the outside but If you are into fitness then some cardiovascular activities like running will do you heart some justice in the long run. Most of these bodybuilders can’t even run for a mile
@@moregainsmorehs so you didn’t really try to understand my comment did you? This has nothing to do with what bodybuilders can do this is about optimal training why would you tax your cardiovascular system before lifting weights? Sure your energy will be a little depleted but unless you’ve trained legs you should still be able to run quite comfortably afterwards.
@@mikewootson2675 And that's why you're small and weak.
I remember I met Shannon at a weight lifting contest in Denver back in the 90s when he was with the Broncos. I was in the Army then in Colorado Springs. My roommate participated in the contest. I told him where I was from in SC, he knew the town, and we talked for a few minutes he was real cool. he said then if he weren't playing football he would have been a professional body builder.
Motivation on a whole nother level!
I met Phil Health last year and let me just say 'THIS DUDE IS THE REAL DEAL!" what an honor it was to be in the same presence as him and interact with Mr 7X!
Shannon's face and body language says it all. When Phil named Jordan and Kobe and not LeBron. 🤣🤣🤣
Loving these collabs, Unc! You providing premium content for the people for free! Bless you!
This is such quality content. I hope Shannon keeps this trend up. Would make a great series. Learned so many little tidbits of information that I hadn't considered before.
I am disabled veteran who went through chemotherapy and radiation and it is extremely difficult for me to do muscle building (the struggle is real), but this is so inspiring to have someone focus on technique versus weight. Thank you for this Unk! 💪🏾
Lesson I learned is always be humble and take advice even if you been lifting for years, Shannon got that humility to let one of the goats teach him 👌 and Shannon is crazy built
This was so funny love to see Heath being silly b/c he's always so serious. These two have so much chemistry I couldn't stop smiling. GREAT content as always. 😁
This is one of my favorite interviews on any podcast of this year. Phil is a great dude. Very inspiring. Thanks Shannon.
This is the interview that I never knew I needed. So glad I came across this.
Watching this you would have never thought Shannon is in his 50’s & had 2 hips replaced. Unreal 🔥🔥🔥
WHAAATT!! I didn't know about the hip replacements!!
And survived colon cancer
@@mikewootson2675 He also has muscular dystrophy and survived brain cancer and is currently fighting Lyme disease
@@mikewootson2675 I believe it was prostate cancer for Shannon
He's also an astronaut!
As a long time bodybuilding fan and competitor who came up aspiring to be like Phil, and a huge undisputed/Shannon fan, this was an unexpected but awesome collaboration
Yes. Sometimes all it takes for us is to see the right thing at the right.
Mr. Sharpe this episode is insanely amazing. The energy between you two is mirrored admiration between each other. Smiling this whole viewing.
Hey Mr. Sharpe! I would love to see a "train like" series. Train like a bodybuilder, train like a boxer, train likea basball player, etc..
Phil is an Amazing Ambassador of the sport!!! He’s giving Professional Bodybuilding so much exposure!! Shannon Sharpe taking the time to come train with 7 time Mr. Olympia is big!! Much respect to Shay and Phil!!!💯💯
He was a terrible ambassador for bodybuilding. I was there during his reign. The Olympia expos, the shows, and immersed in that scene in Vegas for many years. It was well known he was a cry baby, and seeing him live onstage wasn't that impressive. Narrow shoulders, oversized arms, shallow chest. Call me a hater but that's how I and many others saw it.
@@jimiray1969. Agreed. He was a liability and an embarrassment.
Phil is amazing
Maybe he's gotten a bit better since his Olympia run.
@@jimiray1969. Him not being impressive live onstage is a lie lol everyone I know who saw him live said he looked inhumanly round, full and dry.
THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD EPISODE! so informative so easy to watch to confident strong men love to see it
34:19 …Thanx Shay, really good interview. Phil is the man.
Shannon’s such an inspiration. He’s been strong, fast, and ripped for decades. Glad to see him doing so well as a media personality. It’s no surprise tho because his interviews and sound bites were always funny back in his playing days.
I was amazed to learn that Phil is in his 40s and still looking comic book muscular. Looks like he could still compete if he wanted to
Phil Heath intellectual af. Much respect to him and Sharpe.
I got stronger just from watching this no lie lol
😂🤣😅
I worked out at a Golds Gym all through high school, and for a few years after that. Man, when the episode opened up with the music playing, and the shots of the gym, I was getting super nostalgic!
The quarter turn had me in tears! Loved this episode. Shout out to THE GIFT... PHIL HEATH!
7:55-8:22 that's been one of the hardest things I've learned in my lifting journey. I only move up once I've mastered a weight instead of struggling and having bad form on a heavier weight.
Shannon has crazy genetics. WHen he was a teenager in HS he was a monster
This is first time seeing Phil Health doing at interview. This guy is so motivating! Very humble too.
Shannon Sharpe is enormous and this was a great collaboration between the two. Phil Heath is such a cool dude.
Bro this was epic .. Shannon got me headed to the gym today
Im here now lol
Nah fr

Just left did legs ouch!!!
Starting back up next week after 2-3 month off
Salute to all of my gym heads.. this interview is gold 💪🏽
I've always loved lifting and always knew who Phil Heath was but never really watched or listened to him. He seems to be a truely great guy and great coach. This video has given me a lot of respect for the man.
Phil Heath would be a phenomenal coach. Great blend of experience and intelligence.
Shannon has to do a bodybuilding show… bro might make the hall of fame of bodybuilding in his 50’s.
This is So inspiring. Two gentlemen from opposite sides of the sports world meshing together like emptying out two bottles of water. Great job and bravo
Uncle Shay I love when you do episodes like this, by far my favorite. You been in body building for a long time, I remember news clips of you at the Olympia shows back in your playing days. Great show thanks 🙏
I love brother Shay... he is so humble.
This is the best interview for me. My 2 favorite athletes together. I would of never guessed that they'd come together.
Shannon a beast, one of the best TE of all time, Top 5 for sure
This was a great interview Shannon. Phil gave out some gems and I am appreciative. God bless you both.
great interview with Phil. what a personality, and great to let guys speak their mind. giving these guys at the top time and space to answer honestly and without any sort of pressure to act a certain way is beautiful.
Shannon do more of these this was very informative.
Awesome crossover episode!! Love Phil. He inspired me to get really healthy and fit about 8 years ago.
This is amazing. Love that Shannon is lifting with one of the greatest bodybuilders ever. Phil dropped a lot of great knowledge in this video
Glad I’m stumbled on this. Great work and great interview.
Love this so much. I was the hugest fan of his. He will always be the goat of tight ends because he opened the door for these new guys. He's the Dr. J to all these Jordan tight ends.
100%. That round table meeting they did with Gates, Winslow, and Gonzalez was legendary 🔥so many GOAT’s in one room
Skip said he ain’t nothing lol
@T Tg I hope skip apologize for that, he let his ego get hurt and blew in on Mr sharpe
Travis Kelce is building a resume unmatched at TE
Fastest to 10k yrds, fewest amount of games, with several seasons left to add more to catalog
@Track Speed true utility had this guy never came along he'd be a extra blocker for running backs like tight ends use to.
Man it’s inspiring to see Shannon Sharpe collaboration with all worlds of sports
Absolutely awesome and informative interview. Thanks to both of you guys.
Such an incredible video! Phil health and Shannon together. Love it!
This was dope, and definitely inspiring. I want to go work out now!
It was interesting hearing about Phil's transition from basketball to body-building. Thanks for the video guys.
shannon is so good at "turning it on" like just being able to talk, listen, interject, follow instructions.. guy is super talented

I met Shannon back stage at the Mr. Olympia at Madison Square Garden. I realized then that he was a big fan of bodybuilding. I'm 55, I can relate to desire to do a photo shoot to chart your progress. That dude is Next level of amazement!!
