In the play Christmas carol, Scrooge is presented as an evil miser. This is because of his behavior that he shows to Bob Cratchit and the charity workers. Scrooge is nasty and unpleasant. This juxtaposes the spirit of Christmas as it is a festivity that is meant to be very positive and cheerful. As seen in his behavior Scrooge will do anything to ruin the Christmas spirit. This is clearly seen at the start of the Novella when his nephew Fred asks him if he wants to come round for Christmas dinner Scrooge proceeds to say "bah humbug."

In the play Romeo and Juliet , Lord Capulet is shown as a caring father then later on presented as a abusive and controlling Father. This is because Lord Capulet wants the best for Juliet and someone to treat her right along the play he forcefully uses the type of love "familial love" and try's to get Juliet to marry Paris. Lord Capulet is shown as benevolent sympathetic and thoughtful during the start of the play then shifts to being manipulative corrupt and unfair. He is prevailed as degenerate and likeable. He wants the best for his daughter yet wants her to marry Paris for his social status which is very dynamic and potent despite at the start of the play before Juliet refused to marry Paris he was shown as warm-hearted at the dawn of the play. This is his response to the change in obedience and conduct of Juliet. This is illustrated when Lady Capulet states in Act 3 Scene 5 "I would the fool were married to her grave." Which expresses that she would be better off dead if she continues being disobedient to her Mother and Father. -> is this good?
So good !!!!! Show me how to do the same with Macbeth plz 😊😊
For context, could you mention patriarchy? At the time, daughters were meant to obey their fathers, however, at the start, we see Lord Capulet as opposing these standards, which changes after Tybalt has been slain. Due to the young man in the family being killed, which puts the Capulets at a disadvantage regarding status as a man normally dictates their future prospects, the burden is placed on Juliet, as marrying Paris (a relative of the Prince) can improve their social standing.
