No clue guys but my dealership covers mods like suspension/ exhaust by warranty. Sales guy and finance manager confirmed it. 100k warranty 2.0t exl and I’m ready my first serious car. Thank you for videos, very helpful and saves so much time !!!
@TheLemonFactor unfortunately California has limited my choices but I'm going with the PRL intake to start. Ty for all your hard work testing all these products.
Great video man, very informative. I have an Accord 2.0 touring and I can’t wait to unlock its potential. But until it’s paid off or close to it. I’ll just stick with a basic K&N filter and Spare tire delete for now. Definitely gonna cop that stage 3 phearable tune though.
Thank you for the videos on the 10th gen accords, I got my '20 2.0T last month used and I'm planning to mod it once the warranty is over. I'll start with the ktuner first, but do you recommend an upgraded brake kit/performance tires like michelins early on?
Hey man i love your videos! Quick question, if i want to get the phearable stage 3 tune is it recommended to upgrade other components such as the intercooler, down pipe or get the flex fuel kit? My goal for my 2.0t is to increase the hp a little to have some more fun but not do too much to the point where it’ll jeopardize the reliability. So far all I’ve done to mine is get a mishimoto intake.
I have nothing against Hondata, and have used it in the past. It really comes down to the cost involved in conducting the testing, especially now that I’m on an upgraded turbo 🤷♂️
Would some of these work on the 1.5t? I know yours is a 2.0t and their pieces are a little different but I want to see if you would know some, btw my accords role model is your accord, love the car and the build
They would, technically. However, if you have a CVT I would be concerned about the transmissions longevity with any significant additional torque. I also wouldn't push too much additional boost in fear of blowing a head gasket.
3:12 Phearable requires premium fuel just fyi. I'm starting to run premium on a more consistent basis due to concerns I've seen and read about the 1.5L Turbo and blown head gaskets and oil dilution. But I'm totally good with Stage 2. .
@@nicholasfolse FYI, KTuner Stage 2 does not at all require premium. Now for track day, or to help with any concerns on oil dilution or head gaskets, yes running premium is legit. But KTuner Stage 2 does not at all require premium. Hope that helps.
Installed my flex fuel and am running stage 2. Great gains but will eventually get phearable’s tune! Although, I’ve been experiencing a noise from the engine bay since installing the kit. Everything works fine no issues, but it comes and goes. Sounds like something tapping really fast and almost like a cricket lol. I haven’t been able to find the source from the times I hear it. If anyone else has experienced this please let me know.
@@TheLemonFactor Well, the first time I heard it was after back to back pulls when I installed it. Temps were good, and felt fine. It just went away on its own. Happened again yesterday but was driving normal and isn’t making the noise currently.
@@TheLemonFactor I figured it may be from the ethanol kit. It’s just difficult to tell. I have a video but the best way to describe is it sounds as if something is loose. It blends in with how the car sounds while idling just slightly more high pitched.
You don't need an intercooler, but it is highly recommended, especially if you're in an area that experiences hot weather, and/or plan on doing repeated WOT pulls.
The power gains for the KTuner Stage 2 tune are found in this video. If you’re interested in seeing potential gains from an air intake I have a multi video series that can be found on the channel page. Trade for the 2.0 or upgrade my 1.5... i dont need 500hp to get to work or to have fun randomly drag racing someone to work on a sunday ... maybe over 300😅 ... is it worth it without the headgasket blowung off ?
Ohhh, that’s a difficult decision 🤔. I would be very cautious in modifying a 1.5L Accord. If I did, I’d probably keep it to a KTuner with custom tune. Upgrading to the 2.0L would provide you with a more robust platform to mod from, but may have a substantial cost penalty associated with the sale of the 1.5 and purchase of the 2.0 🤷♂️
Does anyone know of someone that has actually swapped their turbo for the new FL5 turbo? I've seen that turbo from honda parts supplier for 900ish... obviously need a lot more than just that to make it work but its not a bad price.
These stages of modification are for the 2.0L turbo engine found on the 10th Gen Honda Accord. The 2024 Accord is the 11th Gen and is not offered with the 2.0L turbo. I would not recommend modifying the 1.5L turbo engine due to the weak CVT and seemingly higher rate of head gasket failure.
They certainly can 🫤. It’ll depend on your dealership how strict they would be in enforcing it. With that said, usually there’s a denial of warranty coverage based on a reasonable belief that the modification is the cause of the issue you’re trying to get remedied under warranty 🤷♂️🤔

Just picked up a 2.0t so I really appreciate the incredibly detailed info!
Congratulations on the new Accord, and thank you for the SUB! I hope you find the Accord videos helpful.

I’ve heard of some dealerships being indifferent to some mods, but to cover them is unheard of 😮
Legendary individual
Appreciate it - thank you! 😁
Ive owned my Accord for a few years now im ready to put a few mods

Hey can you do one on the 2021 Acura Tlx A-Spec 2.0T ?
I want to use that PowerPlant in a swap. Is there no way to tune the tcm? This earned a sub
I’m not aware of anyone who is able to tune the auto transmission. With that said, it was also offered with a 6-speed manual 👍

Great , thanks!
get intercooler, It’ll help the turbo and overall engine performance, that’s one mods that I can tell underrated.
I really wish you would do a Hondata review. Seeing how the Hondata you get many more options as far as OTS maps and Tuning.

@@TheLemonFactor Is there any way to mitigate those risks, or should those with a 1.5t just forego some mods? And if so, which ones?
@Ninja_Bryden personally, I would forgo any power mods for the 1.5L CVT. The gains don’t outweigh the risk 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor Maaaaaan.
Still really enjoy my Accord, but maybe in the future I can find myself a lil project car for joy rides lol
Is it smart to tune with OEM parts like downpipe, intercooler and intake?

You should be running premium fuel with the KTUNER stage 2 tune. Also, whether you’re running 87-94 octane, it has no impact on fuel dilution.

It may not be it, but I did notice a buzzing sound that happened right after installing the flex fuel sensor 🤷♂️
Can u do a video with 1.5t sport t,thanks for ur videos🫡🙏🏼
Just tune it a 1.5 engine & trans won't hold up to the torque a 2.0 can, remember the 2.0t has a different trans and engine crank.
500 crank horse from a tune E30 and a bolt on turbo is quite rowdy 👀
It’s quite entertaining 😁👍. Although extremely difficult to take advantage of from a dig 🤷♂️🫤
Does this work on crv hybrid?
How much whp would i gain from having just the stage 3 phearable tune , Mishimoto intake, and mishimoto intercooler?

2000 honda accord ex 3.0, what should I do?

😁
Does unlocking this extra hp and torque reduce the MPG?
Under WOT you can expect a reduction in gas mileage.
Would these be compatible with a Crosstour ?
I wouldn’t expect so as it’s a totally different platform 🤷♂️
It's impressive how this tune manages to lose power as VTech kicks in, kinda ruins the point I'd think
what should 1 avoid if they only want to put in 87 grade?
If you’re tuning you need to use premium fuel only! 87 octane won’t cut it.
Do mods like this void powertrain warranties?
