Nice Chad. Next steps sound perfect. Carbon fiber wrapped roof might look real nice too. I've also been thinking of a different hood but everything is so darn expensive, I'm just a welder lol. I'm very anxious to see what rims and tires you chose & the flex fuel kit.

Hey Chad, great video on recapping everything that you have done. I've been watching your videos since I got my 21 2.0t sports. I've done mainly cosmetic mods like the red H emblem, illuminated door sills, and wheels (Titan-7 TS5 18x9.5 +40). You should try AutoX since you have upgraded springs and rear sway bar, I've tried it a few times and I was surprised how well it can move for a larger vehicle.
@@TheLemonFactor any particular wheel and tires you looking into? My suggestion would be go with forged wheels construction, they are pricey, but will net you the lightest possible wheel.
Your car is clean! I too have a 2.0t it’s a 2018 and I have babies it except for a very minor side swipe on my rear quarter panel by some new driver and scuffs on the bottom of my bumper. As for mods I got chrome delete wind guards on the windows, tint, blacked out white parts of taillights, and a red metal valve cap lol. In the future I want to try a PRL air intake or matshimoto and either borla or magma flow cat back exhaust bolt on. I’m a little nervous to do a tune because I don’t really plan to push the engine too far. It’s a 2018 now with 77,500 miles. Yes very low miles but I did have some things break that shouldn’t on a car less than 100k like ac condenser, wheel bearings, starter.. most were fixed under warranty once I complained. So just want to know will a hondata or other tuning chip lessen the life of my 2.0 engine? I’m more of a cosmetic guy haha with just wanting a little more sound instead of quiet in the rear.
A tuning device is going to increase the boost pressure and adjust your timing and fueling outside of stock levels. Will this impact longevity - possibly! However, with a good conservative custom tune from a reputable tuner and a little common sense in how much and far you push the car, you should be ok. Wanna recommend upgrading the upper and lower engine torque mounts for your car. There are aftermarket options, but I went with the upgraded ones from Honda directly that come from the 2.0t manual engine, mostly cause Im a tech for Honda and have a discount lol. It seems to be a popular recommendation. I really don’t want to introduce any additional noise or vibrations into the cabin. However, the OEM Type R may be a good option 🤔
Hi i just bought a 2.0 and notice alot of wheel spin and if i want more hp i need less spin for a begter launch would this help if so what is it called that im buying?

Welcome to the channel, and welcome to the 10th Gen Honda Accord platform! The Honda Accord is a great car in so many ways, still brings a smile to my face - of course with the new FK8 hybrid turbo, it’s an even bigger smile 😀
I really think you should do a muffler resonator delete so the turbo breaths out and maybe do video of before and after and also get a front pipe. That’s just my idea
I believe that my Honda Accessory rims and tires are 53lbs together. I’ll be weighing them to compare, but I’m hoping that we get a nice weight savings 🤷♂️
Great video, I've been enjoying watching you working on your Accord. I'm looking for a new car and I was debating between the Accord Sport 2.0T and the new Civic Hatchback Sport Touring. Thank you! I typically get bored with cars, and enjoy trying different ones. However, I am still thoroughly enjoying my 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 Touring - it’s a fantastic car in so many ways, and a great value 👍
My 2018 Touring has been the best overall car I’ve ever owned. You can drive your family around in comfort and put it in sport when you’re by yourself.
Checkout the channel page... there you will find multiple videos covering lowering springs, coilovers, and my initial and final thoughts on the Eibach springs installed on our Touring project car.
Thank u for answering my questions timely Chad. I appreciate that! I'm also considering those Eibach lowering springs now too. I watched your video from about a year ago when you did about a 2-month review of the springs. They dropped just a little bit more than what eibach says. So my question is have they dropped any more since then?
No problem 👍. The Eibach springs have not dropped any further. I should point out as this bothers some people, that the front sits a little lower than the rear 🤷♂️
I just got my 2022 crystal black Honda accord sport I love it and that it has a physical shifter I e heard all the bad but if you’re driving this car like a hellcat you’re the problem and maintenance is key I’ve maintained my 96 accord lx which I got as a gift for getting my license at 175k miles and it’s at 203k and I still have it for this being my second car I love it and will take care of it like my beater but best believe next car is my dream car corvette 😈
This is the Honda OEM black chrome accessory grill. It’s kinda pricey and leaves spots when washed. If I had to do it again, I’d probably just vinyl wrap the original.
Being the 10th GEN Honda Accord 2.0 turbo sport is some sort of a Dtuned type R, is there any fear of head gasket failures? A lot of posters on the accord channels seem to have tuned and boosted their engines to where head gasket issues may become a problem. In the smaller turbo charged engines mated to a CVT blown Head gaskets are an issue. just wondering how safe you can push the accord sport before coolant starts disappearing. I don't know if the Accord sport is using the same head studs as a civic type R.
@@blinggaming4538 I DID not say this car has a CVT you misread what I said. I said that the smaller engine mated with a CVT were have head gasket problems. I have no idea how you came away with me saying the Lemon Factor car was running as cvt. I too have a 21 2.0 t 10spd Accord. Of course I’m biased, but I think the Accord is a much better all around car. If you do get the manual, it’s such a nice and smooth shifter 👍. It responds very well to mods, although the front wheel drive does impede its potential 😕
Hello I m new to this. I just traded my 2006 BMW 330xi bought a 2018 Honda Accord 1.5T.(hope I made a good choice) What performance mods can I start with first?
Hi Chad I have all the same bolt on mods on a 21 sport touring 2.0t. Just wondering what the life span of plugs are with the pherable stage 3 tune. Friends with VW GTIs at similar power are replacing plugs every 20k. Just a thought...
That’ll depend on a number of factors, including how much boost you’re running, how rich your tune runs, how aggressive your driving is, etc. obviously, the tune and aggressive driving will shorten the life.
How did you blackout the letters on the back? Did you use plasti dip or did you remove the letters and sprayed painted it then put it back on? Please I’m trying to do mine too

Do you change your oil any more frequently after tuning your accord? Also how many miles do you have on it? I have a 2018 2.0t with 70k miles and I want my car to last me many years to come so I'm worried that even with the intercooler that a tune will introduce more wear to the engine and lead it to a possible early death
@@TheLemonFactor That's a great idea, and when you say regularly how often do you have it tested? And what test results prompt you to change it more frequently?
Checkout some of the videos… early on I test it multiple times within the oil change intervals with the oil I plan on using throughout to see how it holds up to the type of driving I put it under.
Chad I have another question. I don't know anything about this Flex Fuel this wasn't really around when I was tuning back in the early 2000s. If I'm filling up my tank from say just under a quarter tank does it matter when I put the gallon or two of ethanol in? Like should I always put it in first or does it matter to top it off with ethanol? You think I'll be able to feel a little better acceleration?
The real benefit of E85 is when used with the Flex Fuel kit and Flex Fuel tune, so you can read the ethanol content and the tune can compensate for it. Unless you're having high K.con levels and trying to lower them with a little E, I wouldn't bother. With that said, I don't really know if the timing matters... I've always added the E85 first, then topped off with the 91/93 octane. Sounds like a good test to see if it does - the KTuner does show your ethanol content when enabled, so it would be an easy test to find out how quickly the sensor picks-up on the mixture.
I checked out popular websites such as Tire Rack, Fitment Industries, and other aftermarket wheel manufacturer websites such as Volk, Enkei, Weds, BBS, etc. A general google search for light weight wheels / rims will help you get in the right direction 👍
Stay tuned as I’ll go over it in more detail as we install it on our project car, AND dyno test both the KTuner flex Fuel tune, as well as the Phearable Stage 4 flex Fuel tune! 👍. But real quick… the PRL Flex Fuel kit allows you to read your E85 content so that you can use a flex fuel tune on your car. For the 10th Gen Honda Accord, the sweet spot is 30-35% ethanol for a tank of gas (using premium).
You use the KTuner device to upload the Phearable Stage 3 ECU tune to your car. The Phearable tune is sold separately from the KTuner. However, when you purchase the KTuner, there are a handful of ECU tunes that come with it, such as the “Stage 2” tune. Hope this helps.
I’m assuming you’re referring to the manufacturer’s warranty… Will car modifications VOID my WARRANTY? #modifiedcars #carwarranty #car ua-cam.com/users/shorts5xjnt3cPDmc?feature=share
Yes, the 1.5L Accord seems to be having a higher rate of head gasket failures than the 2.0L. As such, I wouldn’t recommend any power adders unless the head gasket is addressed. In addition, the 1.5L’s CVT transmission is a weak link when adding additional power.
Ooohhhh, I can’t give that away just yet. I will say that they’re lighter, and a brand I’ve never had before - I know, I’m not telling you much 🤷♂️. You’ll have to wait and see 😉

Have you experienced any reliability issues with the performance upgrades you’ve done, if so what are some good measures to take to prevent it ? Thanks
No issues associated with the mods (knock on wood). If you’re concerned about reliability I certainly wouldn’t push the engine and turbo with a tune. With that said, if you’re going to do it, make sure you’re using a high quality, and high octane gas, and get a custom tune 👍
Oh man, what a good question. As far as the time to install, that's difficult to say as I'm also filming at the same time, which definitely adds to it. I'd also say, generally speaking, I can perform an install in as much as half the time the 2nd time around. Total cost... maybe we'll save that for a future video.

Thank you, Chris! I'm glad you find the channel videos helpful. You've done quite a lot to your car already... How's the ride and noise from the Indy 500's? I definitely recommend an upgraded intercooler!
@@TheLemonFactor I didn't want to spend a ton of money on summer tires and the Indy 500's are a relatively inexpensive option. They get positive reviews and I'm quite satisfied with them. I would encourage anyone to roll with summer tires... You lose some MPG, but the traction is next level. I have two sets of wheels so I can swap back to all seasons for the winter.
That’s my plan, ie have a dedicated summer only set 👍
Man how you get some 17' tires lol😅😅
Man this was a great video prefect basic break down I can’t wait to mod mine

Amazing vídeo! Congratulations from a brazilian Honda Accord lover!
Thank you! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video 😁👍. Thank you for your supportive comment 😊
Can't wait for the prl flex fuel kit video. Maybe you should look at getting a custom tune also
Don’t you want to see a comparison between the OTS flex fuel tune v a custom tune? 😁
How the transmission hold up that amount of torque? any mods to it? Great vids!
So far no issues 👍. The 10 Auto seems capable of handling much more torque than OEM output. However, time will tell 🤞
Looking forward to the flex fuel video. Hoping it’s worth the extra money
Me too… 🤷♂️
I haven’t seen you test spark plugs. Are you able to test out denso double iridium, e3 racing spark plug, auto lite, and an NGK?
Possibly in the future.
Beautiful! I have the 2018 white, just like this. It’s a manual transmission ❤❤❤
Enjoy that rare manual transmission of yours 😉😎
@@TheLemonFactor - Thank you, Sir. I will!
I really like your channel & content Chad. Been following for awhile now. Very professional & you include alot of data & numbers. Much appreciated.
Thank you, Matthew! I really appreciate your support comments - glad to hear that you’re enjoying the channel 😁👍
Nice Chad. Next steps sound perfect. Carbon fiber wrapped roof might look real nice too. I've also been thinking of a different hood but everything is so darn expensive, I'm just a welder lol. I'm very anxious to see what rims and tires you chose & the flex fuel kit.
I’m not sure about the roof wrap, but at least it can easily be removed if I don’t like it 🤷♂️. The hoods are expensive. I’ve entertained the idea of buying a used hood and trying to do some cutouts myself 🤪
might sell my 10th gen civic i love it, it’s super quick with all my mods so far but this accord is sun else
It is a fantastic platform 😁👍
Chad, after quick researching I like for 19inch tires-- Continental extreme contact sport summer tires
Rims-Enkei PX-10, 22.1lbs each. Now I'm gonna do more research but so far so good.
I’ve had the Continental Extreme DSW in the past and they were pretty good (I know, a different tire). I’ve had Enkeis too, they’re a good choice 👍. What size tire are you considering?
@@TheLemonFactor that's another consideration. Stay with 19inch or go 18inch? I don't think I wanna go down 2 sizes either way
And don’t forget that any size adjustment may impact the accuracy of your speedometer.
@@TheLemonFactor Right. So i think I'm just going to stick with 19s. Those Enkei rims were only a 4 lb difference each from a 17inch compared to 19 inch.
There are some good calculators online that will show the impact a change in tire dimensions has in the speedometer 👍
New subscriber! Appreciate your extensive support for the 10th gen Accord. Just bought the last Sport 2.0 in my state. Won't be doing any performance mods but definitely want to do some esthetics. Have you tried the rear bumper reflector light upgrade?
Thanks for the sub and congratulations on your new Honda Accord Sport - enjoy!
I love this channel and this series!!!!
Thanks, John Doe! Appreciate your support and glad to hear that you’re enjoying the channel 😁
Again great content and absolutely love the recap video. Can’t wait for the roof and hood videos!
One thing I would be curious about is, the small collection box on the intake pipe. Would deleting that gain or lose anything.
Thank you, Clinton! 👍
I have considered it, but maybe with the new rims and tires I’ll give it a try 🤔
@@TheLemonFactor any particular wheel and tires you looking into? My suggestion would be go with forged wheels construction, they are pricey, but will net you the lightest possible wheel.
I just got them and hope to get them installed this week 👍
Was waiting for this vid.
😁👍
Caveat - checkout my video on Blown Head Gaskets.
@@TheLemonFactor thanks sir. Yea this car is my baby my long term car I want to have for another 4 years or till 150k miles. I’ll stick to cosmetics for now, appreciate it!

Excited to see the flex fuel and what it does to the car.
I hate flex fuel isn’t available everywhere. I can’t do it for that reason.
That does suck, unless of course we find out that it doesn’t add much 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor good point.
Wanna recommend upgrading the upper and lower engine torque mounts for your car. There are aftermarket options, but I went with the upgraded ones from Honda directly that come from the 2.0t manual engine, mostly cause Im a tech for Honda and have a discount lol. But after upgrading them my wheel hop/wheel spin was greatly reduced on my 2.0t, pair that with lighter wheels, and better tires and you'll be set my friend. Great videos tho, I have the same trim and color accord as you. Would love to get in touch better somehow to chat. Keep up the great work!
Upgrading your tires to a stickier compound is the best way to improve traction 👍
All this needs is the flex fuel and HMI stage 2 turbo, easy basic mods. You be hitting high 300 or low 400 maybe.
Already on it… there’s a couple videos on the PRL Flex Fuel install, the dyno test, and one on running the 0-60mph, with surprising results 😉. Checkout the latest video to see which turbo upgrade we’ll be installing on the car 😁👍
Just came on to your channel and I love all info you've been given on your car I'm looking to purchase a similar car from my wife and to do some of the same moths that you just perform on your own car
Welcome to the channel, and welcome to the 10th Gen Honda Accord platform! The Honda Accord is a great car in so many ways, still brings a smile to my face - of course with the new FK8 hybrid turbo, it’s an even bigger smile 😀
I just bought my white one in Colorado as well
😁👍
Awesome Chad thanks for sharing, you explanations are excelent and inspire to mod my 2022
Thanks for the compliment 😁👍
Love everything you are doing with the 2.0t. Are you planning on installing the Type R inlet pipe?
Thank you, Tony! Probably in the future when we’re ready to upgrade the turbo 👍
I really think you should do a muffler resonator delete so the turbo breaths out and maybe do video of before and after and also get a front pipe. That’s just my idea
Thanks for the recommendation. Have you done this already, or something you’d like to see?
I read on a forum that OEM wheels weigh about 50 lbs each 😬. Lightweight wheels may transform the car in a good way! 👍🏻
I believe that my Honda Accessory rims and tires are 53lbs together. I’ll be weighing them to compare, but I’m hoping that we get a nice weight savings 🤷♂️
I wish we had flex fuel up here in the northeast. Should give you a nice bump in power

Great video, I've been enjoying watching you working on your Accord. I'm looking for a new car and I was debating between the Accord Sport 2.0T and the new Civic Hatchback Sport Touring. I'm leaning more towards the Accord after watching your videos. I need a family car that I can have fun with by myself.
Thank you! I typically get bored with cars, and enjoy trying different ones. However, I am still thoroughly enjoying my 2019 Honda Accord 2.0 Touring - it’s a fantastic car in so many ways, and a great value 👍
Accord is better in every way (2.0T)
Civic feels cheap , road noise, CVT are not good for traveling from personal experience.
My 2018 Touring has been the best overall car I’ve ever owned. You can drive your family around in comfort and put it in sport when you’re by yourself.
@@TheLemonFactor Same here. I had a 2017 EXT 6speed with custom tune and loved it. But once I drove the accord, I had to have it 😊
At least you stayed in the family 😆
Honda never should’ve discontinued the 2.0t if they ever do bring it back it’ll be with the new plain design
It certainly isn’t enticing me to part ways with the 10th gen Accord 🤷♂️
install the SPORT skirts and bumpers to make your accord looks better !
Sport bumpers?
So I want to lower my 2018 accord EXL. Will springs be ok or coil overs ? Which will be better Does the EXl have the same suspension as your accord ?
Checkout the channel page... there you will find multiple videos covering lowering springs, coilovers, and my initial and final thoughts on the Eibach springs installed on our Touring project car.
Hey! Love the vids! Might be a long shot but is there any turbo upgrade for this that can run a stock tune? Only asking for smog purposes.
Engine emissions is a result of the tune. Even in changing to a bigger turbo, a good tune will keep your non-WOT emissions compliant 👍
@@TheLemonFactor Thank you for that! I did forget to mention I live in California. Which I do believe they look for tunes when they scan your OBD.
@GalacticHD well that’s at another level 🫤🤷♂️. Good luck 👍

Hey Chad,
Where did you buy the black grill where the honda logo goes?? Please & Thanks!!!
It’s not a CVT it’s a 10 speed ZF transmission, they were used in their V6 Acuras so they can handle power
Anyway I did not get any feed back concerning the smaller Honda engine head gasket failure issues so there's that.
@@theodorehartman5086 when you said smaller turbo I thought you meant how the accords turbo is a smaller turbo than the type r’s since you mentioned it’s a detuned type r, it’s an honest mistake lol and you never mentioned the 1.5 by name but mentioned the 2.0 by name so I assumed you were still talking about the 2.0
@@blinggaming4538 hay man not issues here. If the Lemon Factor 2.0 T is not having issues after all the thrashing that poor car as been thru, it is safe to say the 2.0t 10 speed Accords have nothing to worry about unlike the small engine that tends to lift heads at 30K or so.
After installing the intercooler. How did you get the number to mount so nicely? I can see almost no space between the bumper and the fender. I recently upgraded my intercooler and can’t get my bumper to line up 100%. I took my time and tried everything but can’t get it to look stock. Did you buy new bumper mounts? Any help or advise would be great.
Make sure all the clips, especially around the headlights and bumper to fender gap are lined up perfectly. It can go on misaligned 🫤. I did not buy new bumper mounts.
Hey chad what about the charge pipes you left the stock ones when you install the intercooler or they are aftermarket ones?
Still using the stock charge pipes 👍
Nice video
Seeing how you modified this accord professionally is pleasing.
Now I’m stuck on between the new Elantra N 6MT or the Accord 2.0 6MT
Which one would be best to buy and which one have more tuning potential.
Thank you in advance for anyone who would answer
Of course I’m biased, but I think the Accord is a much better all around car. If you do get the manual, it’s such a nice and smooth shifter 👍. It responds very well to mods, although the front wheel drive does impede its potential 😕

Kinda late, but would you recommend these upgrades for a daily driver? Or just as a project car?
Absolutely 👍

I am not a huge fan of the front seats. My wife's MINI Clubman sport seats are way more comfy. I'm keeping my eye out for a set of Civic Type R front seats. I believe another channel did the swap and it was a direct bolt on. One issue was that the airbags couldn't be programmed to work with the Accord.
What exactly don’t you like about the Honda Accord seats? Lumbar support, side support, softness of the leather?
@@TheLemonFactor
Don’t waste your time with guys like that
I had an Accord 3.5 2014 and traveled to LA and Florida and I never felt uncomfortable even though I have back issues and being overweight doesn’t help either.
I’ve driven across country and was fine, but I will say the leather could be softer, but then again it may wear quicker 🤷♂️
@@TheLemonFactor side support mostly. I think I just prefer a more sporty bucket seat. The existing accord seat is not bad, I just like my wife’s car better :-)
@William - having never tried the Clubman sears, I can’t comment on them, but can say I’ve been in more comfortable and less comfortable seats than the Honda Accord. I think it’s great that we have the option to swap in the CTR seats 😎
Now what the top speed and how much cost for this ?
Thinking of putting same glint black rims on my 2019 honda accord touring how are they holding up with these tires and size

My tires are 235. They’re holding up quite well. I would expect to get 40-45k miles out of the PureContact LS. 👍
I have my oil tested regularly and base my oil change frequency on the results 👍
I have a 2017 accord sport, I was wondering if I could get the same numbers out of mine.
It is a 7 auto, 2.4L no turbo
I doubt it... very different platform.
Thank You Almighty God I will buy one for myself
👍
try the peddle commander you won't regret it
Chad I have another question.
@@TheLemonFactor ok thanks
Gonna have to do this to my 22 2.0 touring 🫣

will these same engine mods work for a 2016 honda accord?
The 2016 is a different car. The 10th Gen Honda Accord started with model year 2018.
Do you recommend or know anything about if a upper torque mount is necessary running a stage 2 or 3? I have seen a few have problems without it.
Torque mounts are not necessary.
What does the PRL Flex Fuel Kit do for you?
Stay tuned as I’ll go over it in more detail as we install it on our project car, AND dyno test both the KTuner flex Fuel tune, as well as the Phearable Stage 4 flex Fuel tune! 👍. But real quick… the PRL Flex Fuel kit allows you to read your E85 content so that you can use a flex fuel tune on your car. For the 10th Gen Honda Accord, the sweet spot is 30-35% ethanol for a tank of gas (using premium).
Do I have to tune my Honda with ktuner v2 first or can I just go to phareable stage 3 ? My 2.0 is stock rn
You use the KTuner device to upload the Phearable Stage 3 ECU tune to your car. The Phearable tune is sold separately from the KTuner. However, when you purchase the KTuner, there are a handful of ECU tunes that come with it, such as the “Stage 2” tune. Hope this helps.
to pass inspection in some states, do you need to keep flashing back to stock and retuning again?
How did u changed the headlights ?
The headlights are OEM 👍
what about charge pipes to help with that heat??
I don't believe you'll see any gains with charge pipes. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
How many miles are on the car ? And how’s the reliability with the tune + mods
Not many, ~16k miles. So far (knock on wood) everything is going well 👍

Simple but how dangerous ?? Any risk of blowing up something ...scared
Yes, the 1.5L Accord seems to be having a higher rate of head gasket failures than the 2.0L. As such, I wouldn’t recommend any power adders unless the head gasket is addressed. In addition, the 1.5L’s CVT transmission is a weak link when adding additional power.

Wouldn’t that totally fry that cvt
Most likely… if this were the 1.5L CVT. This is the 2.0L with the 10-spd AUTO transmission 👍
How are the MPG’s with this mods
Not bad, if you stay out of the boost, but what fun is that 😉
OK, Chad, with this review how many hours installing these mods & total cost for these mods?
Oh man, what a good question. As far as the time to install, that's difficult to say as I'm also filming at the same time, which definitely adds to it. I'd also say, generally speaking, I can perform an install in as much as half the time the 2nd time around. Total cost... maybe we'll save that for a future video.
but is it reliable? Ive heard guys with tunes are pulling out head studs?
How aggressive was their tune? Were they always romping on it?
