from other UA-camrs I've heard that it's secretly a sponsor like with the Mario kart section,all the references to past games,and especially the cat suit.
The funny thing is the older Mario rpgs actually had genuinely interesting stories so “it’s based on Mario” doesn’t really work that well. It was really entertaining, but could’ve been so much more.
Other common exuses that people use are "well it's faithful to the games so it's good " or " they didn't explore more things because they are holding it for the seuqels". Just because an adaptation is 100% faithful doesn't mean it's good because you can also adapt the same mistakes that the source material has. With Mario being that it isn't very plot driven videogame franchise. For the exuse for potential sequels, if your only intention is to make bland movie for the follow ups why even bother making it, if the movie wasn't commercialy succesful (which the only reason being is just from the fact it's based on Mario) they wouldn't be making a sequel and we would only be left with a safe adaptation at the end of the day.

That manchild NEEDS a Kiwi Farms thread that really digs deep into his past and documents his numerous regard moments. I’m guessing the reason he doesn’t have one is because his sperging is mostly boring. Although, with the ISOM drama (the comic was mediocre at best. Not a masterpiece like a lot of the grifting shills like the say, and not a Sonichu level dumpster fire like a lot of the critics like to say.
