I managed to get the Xbox series x halo limited edition console for under 500 dollars which was great because they usually go for 1000

Awesome video, agree with pretty much everything in here too, but my man completely cut out 2ds. Don't remember anything more than translucent or different colors for the base version, but I own the "new" 2ds xl pokeball edition. Has to be the best console design, great color, multiple layers on the front just like a 3 dimensional pokeball, and YOU CAN CLICK THE POKEBALL BUTTON!! Still use that thing to this day sometimes and I always click that pokeball 10 times at least. Honestly bummed it didn't make the video, even though I got to see a bunch of limited edition consoles I used to, or still have. Pokeball 2ds xl will always be my personal favorite

I love the video, honestly the 3ds will forever be my favorite. I regret that I had almost every regular release 3ds that was made but I got rid of them all. I was a GameStop Manager and loved the 3ds so I had all the Zelda ones and the galaxy ones. The 2ds and 2ds XL had a few unique designs as well. Like the Hylian Shield and the Pokeball. Plus there was the weird pikachu with the bumpy nose. I also think that the recently announced Zelda Switch Lite might be the best looking one yet.

For PlayStation consoles I've always loved the million celebration consoles that are translucent blue. They've done it for every numbered PlayStation.

I watched Jim Sterling play this like 10 years ago and ever since then I remember it occasionally and become obsessed. I played the demo on my crummy computer and yeah it's dull (and definitely eerie as you say) but for some reason I just want to keep going. Even after watching this video.

I'm currently playing CE on legendary and I gotta say, I'm jealous of proto-chief here and his underslung grenade launcher.

Other common exuses that people use are "well it's faithful to the games so it's good " or " they didn't explore more things because they are holding it for the seuqels". Just because an adaptation is 100% faithful doesn't mean it's good because you can also adapt the same mistakes that the source material has. With Mario being that it isn't very plot driven videogame franchise. For the exuse for potential sequels, if your only intention is to make bland movie for the follow ups why even bother making it, if the movie wasn't commercialy succesful (which the only reason being is just from the fact it's based on Mario) they wouldn't be making a sequel and we would only be left with a safe adaptation at the end of the day.

I'm assuming the "delayed explosion" when shooting missiles into the water is the fact that they aren't detonating when they hit the surface, which actually makes sense. It displays the water geyser, then when it hits the actual floor it detonates

This actually wasn't 343 I believe, its a modding team. I do think they have plans to add more content to it and fix some of the broken view models and mechanics that aren't as easy to get done in CE.

one thing i learned when it comes to stuff like this: getting the beta version you want, demystefies it and the result is never as magical as you make it out to be

Nah, you're wrong on that one part. Those vehicles do fit what the games were going for. They were only replaced to make the game more unique, and less like the contemporary designs of the futuristic shooter era. Although having more distinct weaponry was the better choice on their part. It's just unfortunate they didn't have enough time to make even more.
