The obvious answer is buy all of them, then buy more, then a few more, then realize you have a problem and the only way out is through so you buy a few more!
Buddyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! I heard my name :)))))) thank you for being a cool guy and giving me shoutout, and even more coming from you makes it really special :) Brilliant video and always enjoy how you cover your topics, and this is one huge topic and you done a grand job :)) Just recapping on the Location side, this really should be an easy update as it doesn't involve the GG-B100, as really the GG-B100 is just a clever trigger to tell your device to recored the location, and after the device is telling the GG-B100 where to point using a bearing, so CASIO you really could do this :)) You really shouldn't let rechargeable lithium batteries run flat, they don't like it so much, and it'll be interesting how long it take so you can use the ABC side... so for me you showed just how after those 6 months of running in the dark it goes into charge, so if you were pushing buttons and using the ABC, how much shorter would it run? The GG-B100 runs for up to 2yrs with the use they mention in the manual, but if you're not a heavy user I could see this running 3yrs+ I'm looking at maybe 1.5yrs as I do use the functions often, and so far my GG-B100 has replaced a few G-Shocks, and I have to be honest, it's kind of kicked my GW-9400 away too, but as that's such a gem of a G-Shock, it won't be flipped, it's got the lume which is amazing at night :) I have to share this on my community page, and I will be doing another video that this video will get a mention, as it ties in with my video, and of course you have the GWG-1000 and I don't LML :-P Thanks again for the shoutout my friend and am just pleased you thought my GG-B100 video was worth a mention :) Big 12 thumbs from me my friend, and cheers for sharing your thoughts and knowledge to help so many :)
Thanks for the comments and technical insights as ever. Your video is now linked in my pinned comment. Yes let's hope CASIO hear our cries for an enhancement to the location indicator. I'm not surprised this has become your everyday watch, it's a superb, versatile and comfortable option and for sure can help you out with your hiking. Looking forward to you next video man. Cheers!
Man can you check the comment on this video from Klaas Norg who has a technical issue with his GG-B100. Perhaps you have an idea what's happening.... Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 Thank you for your support my good friend, and this is the side I enjoy, as together we cover all aspects of these clever watches... this video was superb btw :))
Thanks for the review. I just sent my GG-B100 to Casio to get battery changed since no jewler wanted to touch it since it has gaskets everywhere. I purchased mine on Mar 2020, so battery with all sensors on and using the app a few times a week during a deployment, lasted about a year and a half. Was a bit disappointed on that, but love everything else on it. I am currently expecting my GWG-2000 to arrive by mail, super excited to get it. Thanks again and keep up the good work 🤙
You can change the battery yourself. Buy the tools to open watch backs--around $20, an Allen wrench set, the replacement batteries (2025) and youtube how to change the batteries on a GGB100. It took me 10-15 minutes to change my watch battery.
@@stormrider1119 I got my GWG-2000 tan color, love everything about it, but I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that the black band keeper is staining the tan band. I contacted G-shock about it and they told me to send it for "repair under warranty". I'm not doing that, 3 weeks to get it back, and it will happen again even if the clean it or change the bands. Besides that I'm obsessed with everything else about it. And I'm also so lucky I got the tan color before it went out of stock EVERYWHERE lol
Nice to see this followup on the GGB-100. I posted a comment a couple months ago on your original GGB100 video that I had just purchased my GGB-100, and I was surprised as to how much I liked it as my first G-Shock. That's only been confirmed in the months since. While I have a collection of mechanical watches (mostly Sinn) that I also wear, the GGB-100 is the watch that goes back on when I "switch out". I've come to like it much more than I ever thought I would. Nice to see that your initial impressions, 8 months on, have held up, too.
Yes I think the fondness grows with this watch over time. It's so comfortable and light, hard to believe it packs so much technology and such resilience. Cheers!
@@JeffreyBarranco420 It's working just fine. My GGB-100-3A is keeping great time, and if it varies a little bit, you can sync it to the G-Shock app to keep it right on the money. It's a fantastic watch and the one that made me into a big fan of G-Shock. Once the battery needs replacement, I'll just get it replaced. That'll probably take, what, 10 minutes? It's no "big deal". IMHO, life's too short for guys to get worked up about having to simply change a battery every 3 or 4 years. Instead, focus on what's *really important:* your health, your friends and family, your career & finances and what provides _true meaning and fulfillment_ in your life. All this other stuff is "small stuff". I don't sweat "the small stuff"; life's too short. 😉 Make the most of every day. Cheers!
Can I ask as this video is 3 years old,is your GGB -100 still going strong? Are there any shortcomings since you put this video out? Cheers! This is a great video.
I love every watch shown here but having owned the GW-9400 for awhile I just can’t justify the expense due to the amount of functions it comes with but they look so sweet I can’t help but want one of each!
Man that's the thing with G-Shock, they come in so many forms and functions one is rarely enough. For me if you have a GW-9400 then a GA-2100 is a nice compliment. Thanks for the comment, cheers!
Just bought this watch on sale ….100 bucks off. Love it…..but the strap is too short for my 8.5 inch wrist. Wish Casio would offer larger bands. Like 1 inch longer would be ideal. Bigger guys like these because the size works for us. Casio should realize that.
Needed this, as I was deciding between the two for my next deployment watch. Compass and solar are primary wants. GGB would be fine, but can't bring Bluetooth into office space. May end up waiting to see the next update for either.
Excellent video! I've worn a Citizen Eco drive for 18 years and I've never owned a GShock. I've seen your other video about the charging of the 1000, it hit home... I ordered the 1000. Thanks!
Yes it's definitely the more low key of the three models. That is why I recommended people try them on if possible before buying so they get the model that fits them and suits them the best. Thanks so much for the kind comment, it is sincerely appreciated. Cheers!
My first g shock was the rangeman 9400, the kaki one with dark display. It is beautiful. After 4 years though i got tired of the dark display, it is unreadable unless in very light environment or you need hit the light button. Great functions though, it has almost everything on it. It would actually be the ultimate watch if it also had hands, bluetooth and the GBA-800 timer upload function. Imagine that, a G-SHOCK solar atomic watch that you never adjust, never change battery, triple sensor functions, phone finder , able to synch in your various HIIT training regiments.
Yes man, that's approaching the kind of unicorn G-Shock watch I dream of too. Top functions for me are compass, Bluetooth, digital and analogue, carbon strap, moonphase and sun rise/set, multi band 6, not too big, carbon core, strong backlight, Tough Solar, phone finder... What else hmmmm
It's so pleasant when someone shows their appreciation like that. Really appreciate the kind words good Sir. I try to keep these things objective, to the point and no unnecessary waffle. Glad it hit the spot with you 👌
@@stormrider1119 I'm gonna go with the GGB100, just gotta decide either the orange or olive cause I like them both, top review though, hit every nail on the head.
@@caddy8886 it's all personal preference but I feel the green looks a bit classier, although there is also a Burton limited edition and a black version to check out. All of them great looking watches...
The problem with the GWG-1000 is that most of its functions are basically useless because you have to take the watch off to set them. You can't set a timer or an alarm without unscrewing the crown :(
@@mcscent2602 Cheers buddy, appreciate the support :) I've been following StormRider when his channel was called Casio Philosophy or something similar, but what I like is how he goes further than many other channels, with his personal thoughts and conclusions... If myself and StormRider spoke on the phone, it would be a conversation that would last many months, as it's this kind of thinking I enjoy. I can be silly, but when it comes to details, I'm on it, and for me, StormRider played a huge part in my final decision to buy the GG-B100 as he covered what I needed to know. Forget about those who moan if it isn't solar, just think, the GG-B100 will run 2yrs without any worry if it's not getting enough solar vitamin D's... as it has plenty of Vitamin G's :)) Cheers again :)
Im glad i come across this vid i really like the GWG100 but the price in all honesty doesnt relfect its capabilities in comparison to the GGB100 that has alot more and half the price of its big brother... think i will purchase the GGB100 shortly as yes its been out a while now but does tick all my boxes.. great review by the way my friend
Thanks for the kind words Sir. Yes the GG-B100 undeniably has more functions. Excellent watch and more comfortable than the GWG-1000. The GWG has does have some advantages and is a great watch but day to day GG is more practical in my opinion.
Not too far off. I don't like suggest what watches people should but as it's totally dependant on use cases and there is such a great variety of G-Shock that there will always be a model that is 'just right' for everybody. I do think the Rangeman and Mudman for that matter tick many boxes. Cheers!
Just when I was thinking “What happened to StormRider’s channel?” he puts out a video, and a great one too :) Had GG B100.Great watch, comfortable as well. Carbon bezel looks badass. However, once I got GWG 1000, I never reeally wanted to put on the carbon mudmaster. Have a GW 9400 and GA 2100 too. Those are keepers. Cool video once again man!
Thanks for thinking of me man. Yes I've been doing a lot of cycling recently both outdoors and indoors on Zwift and got a bit distracted down that rabbit hole. I can totally see how the GW-9400 and GA-2100 are your 'keepers', I'm much the same. And I also see how the GWG-1000 has pride of place, it's such a capable machine and looks badass. More videos on the way man. Cheers!
An excellent review and pounts to consider for potential purchasers. Im visually disabled and the legibility of the analogue display, plus the Bluetooth connectivity is a real draw. I have a black Armour Jacket on the way to look at, hopefully, the negative display doesnt sink it. There is a new gray version out with a positive display but i am not so keen on the colour scheme of the rest of the watch. As you mentioned, potential purchasers may have looked at the GWG-1000 and GWG-2000 (I did, the latter on sale for £419 from H. Samuals at the moment) but the GG-B100 made the most sense to me, cheaper, a battery every 2-3 years plenty of tech for well under £300.
I recently sold my Fenix 6 Pro Solar due to financial issues and the fact it the strap was causing skin issues. I am tempted to get the GG-B100 with e green strap and yellow accents on the dial. I have quite small wrists and am worried about the size of the beast on the old wrist. I love the build quality technology inside the watch and have been after a G Shock for a long time now, having never previously owned one.
I picked up the GG-B-100 A3ER yesterday, brilliant watch, really cracking build quality, outstanding features and really comfy to wear on the wrist, despite my wrist size. 🧭🥾🏞️🏕️🌧️
Hey dude. Loved the video. I have a small doubt. As the gwg 2000 has released now, is it worth to pay more and get it or should I still go for the gwg 1000?
Many thanks for the kind words Sir. The mechanics of both watches are ultimately the same so it is down the the aesthetics and whether you want metallic elements. I personally love my GWG1000 so much I don’t see the need to upgrade so would stick to the lower price 1000. See if you can try on both in a mall and see if there is a noticeable difference in comfort and personal design preference. Cheers :)
I plan to buy GG-B100 . I would like to replace the band of it by a black color/third party band . Mr. StormRider , mind to tell me if the GWG-1000 band use on the GG-B100 ? Since the 3rd party band of GWG-1000 is still available to buy on internet . Just want to know if I buy one and use it on the GG-B100 . Thank you in advance .
Last week I picked up a GGB 100 second hand. It is absolutely in mint condition and looks like it is never been worn. But yesterday suddenly all the sensor functions stopped working. No compass, baro, altitude bluetooth and temperature. Just an empty screen on those functions. Also the watch hands were stuck in place. On the digital display the time was still going on like there was no problem. Even the light did not work. I gave it 2 hours to maybe somehow come back to live, but not such luck. So I thought it was a battery problem and wanted to replace the battery. When I came to the last step to open the battery compartment the watch suddenly was resetting itself to factory settings and all seems fine again. I really really love this watch and wanted it for a year. I am the happiest man now I own one, but this adventure made me a bit scared about the durability. I keep asking myself what on earth happened that the watch was killing all the major functions. For now all seems fine, but I am to scarred to touch a single button. I think it may have been me touching the reset combo on the inside of the watch that made it turn back to live. Anyone knows a way to do that reset without opening the watch? It was a nerve racking adventure to say the least. Is the bluetooth reset combo doing the same as the internal reset you have to do after switching the battery?
Interesting, I'll ask @WatchUP69 to comment, he will know more about this matter I suspect. He's the king of all technical things of G-Shock. I haven't heard of anything like that before. Did the person sell it because they experienced a problem perhaps? Can you ask them? Let's see what WatchUP69 comes back with on your comment...
Hey Klaas... Interesting to read your comment, and for it to be in the state you said to suddenly happen, it's the first I've heard of something like this. Now the watch would reset when the battery is replaced, or when it has been AC reset on the module, but there is a reset option outside of the watch. So in home time, 2sec press on the adjustment button to enter the adjustment side which will have the city scrolling pass... then press again the adjustment button and it'll move to the second part of adjustment with regards to time and date... the seconds will be flashing... now this is again in two parts... with the seconds flashing press the compass button and continue to hold down and it'll firstly reset the Bluetooth (Pair CLR) but keeping it pressed and it'll come up with RESET... then release and press the adjustment button to exit. Now the watch is completely back to factory reset with Bluetooth cleared too. If the watch looks new, then it hasn't been dropped hard, and if it's not showing the battery icon in the display, then the battery is good. Would be an idea to send a message to CASIO and ask their thoughts. If the watch was working perfectly when it landed, then soon after stopped fully functioning with what you mentioned, it could be that the battery might not be seated correctly. Would be interesting to know how old the watch is, as if they've changed the battery themselves, they mightv'e not clicked the battery brace down, and maybe with the connection with the battery, there's some contacts that aren't firm, so only the display is working. So now it has been reset from inside the module, all is working 100% Keep an eye on it for the next few days, if it does it again take a photo and send to the seller asking for a return, just easier that way. Hope that helps buddy ;)
@@stormrider1119 Only if I know, but always try my best with a search too... but I know the reset side as it's in my tutorial at the very end. Am HaPpY to help you my friend ;)
@@WatchUP69MrRangeman @StormRider thanks for the reply. I got the watch second hand from a collector, who bought it in August 2019. He told me he did not use the watch much and never changed the battery. It was one of my questions before buying the watch. Never thought I would have to open it within the first week hahaha. But all the tutorials you guys make on youtube makes it a lot easier to do, because you see what you can expect. It never showed me the battery icon, so it can not be an empty battery. As you said, it could be the battery was never placed fully seated and me trying to unclip it made it seat correctly. I was trying to figure out the best way to unclip it when I suddenly heard it ticking again. So I don't exactly know for sure what made it tick again. I will keep a close eye on it and when it happens again I will make some pictures and ask Casio, because that would be a major problem with my watch. Next time I will first try the factory reset in the menu. I did see that one in your tutorial (yes I watched it completely) But I thought that would only reset the Bluetooth connection. For now everything is working fine. Fingers crossed.
Great work on the 9404kj William. That is a rare watch, and definitely an investment. I always loved the look of that limited edition. Mixing up the band on the 9400 must look nice too, as well as it having that 'uniqueness' factor. Thanks for dropping in as always, cheers!

the ggb100 can do a pressure graph readout of 1hpa. so its 10x more accurate im assuming the other doesnt because its solar and it would be blinding to look at lol. also the ggb100 can do a figure 8 calibrate and it comes with a 10 min timer but I like to lock world time mode into (utc) and set the timer to all zeroes. giving it an entire day if started.

I have been wearing this watch for over a week, and in the exact same colors as yours. It is comfortable, light! I added a protective film on the screen, but this film is a little smaller than the screen itself. The bezel does not include any scratches as I have repeatedly rubbed it on granite (without doing it on purpose) !! I specify that I am a *woman* of 1.60m ...
Awesome! Great to hear, it's is such a comfortable model with the G-Shock Carbon Core style back plate. I'm interested in these protective screens, can you tell it has one on at all or is it completely invisible? Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 Basically, the screen glass is really resistant, in addition to its slightly curved side. But since I am a rather clumsy woman, I preferred to buy a film (basic it was a tempered glass that I wanted to buy myself, but I had not seen that the glass of this jewel, is absolutely not flat. I went to the amazon site to buy it, and it is a set of three in it, with a n set of three dust proof, two shine wipes. but the protective films, being fine intended for this model of watch, are slightly smaller, but since they are indeed transparent, it is not visible, unless you approach your gaze too closely).

Normal battery is the way I like to go. I live in the Adirondack mountains and if there is no sun you lose the watch. I have had this happen a few times with my Citizen solar watch. Since then I try to look for battery watches. 🤠
Hello thanks for the video. I have seen a video for the bb100 carbon case its pretty fragile lucky enough the bumpers around the carbon bezel gives it some kind of protection it's so thin there's no support what's so ever . I was so disappointed see this. I'll see if I can add the video. Look at gshook highfashion video on the bb100 carbon
Yes I think I saw this. It was during a strip down /dis-assembly though which I guess impacts its structural integrity to some degree. When it's one piece I think it's very strong, trust me I've done many many heavy work outs with it and it has been impacted a lot :) Personally I see no weakness in that respect. Thank you for your comment. Cheers!
Yes,he broke the carbon bezel when he pulled the watch apart - it broke because it didn't 'like' being bent - this is not unusual for carbon...if you don't pull it apart you won't be bending the carbon - so it'll be as strong as!!!😉
Good question. I'm not sure it will be so accurate to use that method as there are so many variables to consider like useage and settings. I think better you don't over think the battery as you will get a 'low battery indicator' before it dies anyway so you won't be caught by surprise. Cheers!
Thats one of my issue aswell on how they base the lifespan but oh well always easy to replace the battery but its not recommended to bring a non solar to places where you might get stuck or lost or somewhere you cant replace the battery when you need it.
@@skyisdlimit6125 I’m kinda worry bout that too. Because the place I live doesn’t have Casio store. I don’t know how other store gonna replace the battery. But that is just a non-sense worry. So I just let it then.

It seems like it isn't an option although you can go into the G-Shock Connect App and review steps taken throughout the day so you can extrapolate from that to some degree. Interesting bit of feedback though, it would be a nice addition.
IndoWatch has the blue paracord, StormRider has the blonde fur. 😂 Great comparison! I love the look and functions of the GG-B100 over the GWG-1000. They’re cheaper too, so I think I’m sold! Thanks! 😁🤙🏻
Haha. Thanks for dropping by Nicholas. The GG-B100 is a great piece for the price, a lot of functions wrapped up in a very tough watch at a fair price.
Which of the two models has the more legible LCD display? Are the LCD displays the same size on each? Are the LCD display characters more legible on one or the other? How legible are each of the LCD's indoors (w/o using the Light function)?
Very good question. There is not a lot between the two to be honest. There is no legibility issue with either and the digital cluster is pretty much the same size, as is the 'font' size. They are both a negative display also. I think if you are concerned on this specific matter either model is a good watch to go for as it has a large face. The GA-2100 blackout for example has a small digital cluster and some people struggle to see it. The Mudmaster don't have that issue in my opinion. Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 Thanks for the info, and the quick reply. Your videos are outstanding and very informative. They're helping with my consideration of these two Mudmaster models. @@stormrider1119 it wont "cap" them. I mean they are always updateable but for people who like a clean readout you have to clear the REC screen everytime you check altimeter. you can remove REC from the mode menu in the app i believe but I dont mess with any of the defaults.
Wow these three watches are all on my radar and I'm currently in this dilemma myself. I'm definitely leaning towards the gg-b100 and gw-9400. Just need to try them on to make a final decision.
Absolutely the best thing to do Liam. Especially as far a wrist size and comfort goes its the best way, everyone is different. Let me know which way you go in the end. Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 I will do, not having the biggest of wrists means it's hard deciding. I have a blackout G-Shock square so I'm thinking the gw-9400 maybe too similar... But then I do love tough solar and multi band 6... But then I do love the look of the gg-b100 and the modern features.....argh why is it so hard to decide 😫😫😫😫
Honestly the square and GW-9400 are very different watches and the GW is a good size for people with less chunky wrists. Then you get tough solar, compass, temp, baro, sun rise /set and they aren't too pricey! Really depends what you'll use if for but definitely keep the GW-9400 in mind. I wear mine a lot right now. The carbon fiber strap I upgraded it with is a nice mod too...
You know this was suggested by another person a while back. It sounds like it would work to me but needs to be tested. When I have time I’ll do it! Cheers Jameson :) 💪
Absolutely, the GWG-1000 is worth the money so long as you do activity that calls for a super tough watch, I.e. Camping, hiking, rucking etc etc. If you don't do so much of that there are options that will do just fine at a slightly cheaper price like the GW-9400 Rangeman or G9300 Mudman. Thanks for the comment!

@@stormrider1119 I see you have that choco chip camo mudmaster. I think you'd like the British Army one, the camo is nice, the style is nice. You can notice the screen protector a bit. But it will help with scratch resistance I think anyway. I'd be super angry to get a scratch on it while it's in honeymoon phase. I had a Luminox once before, and on the 3rd day of ownership my keys put a deep scratch from the 3 to the 12. I never wore it again and sold it on ebay. Maybe after it's worn in and used a bit, but not while still like new. And this is a special edition. :)
That would be superb I agree. With Casio I wouldn't be surprised if one day they accomplish that but right now it's about battery longevity I reckon... They need to keep G-Shocks bulletproof and battery life long and or tough solar. Cheers
Haha. I've owned a lot of non solar Casio/ G-Shock watches and know the backlight use isn't too draining. The batteries in these things are darn impressive
Do you notice that the GG-B100 analogue second hand does not sync with the digital seconds in the display can this be rectified? Hi now sorted I used this video ua-cam.com/video/tSMaJMONBrc/v-deo.html
NO ONE needs the solar powered watch. Unless you're a heavy and active user. It takes TWO years to drain the batteries - and then $30 to get it replaced. 1) Who knows what new technology will come for you to get on the new boat vs. having to change batteries 2) Even if you have to - it's still a better deal than practically the same watch for twice the price
Can you still see the time with all that hair on your wrists? lol maybe the best model for you would be the Casio Apeman model with a much higher profile. Just Kidding ! LOL
Maybe look at the positive aspects of the watches and use reasonable deduction to come up with your own list to share I can come up with a few if I felt like spending the time on it which I don’t lol these are all very fine examples of the functions of the g-shock models !
If I wore the gwg 1000 every day do you think it would keep a permanent charge. I’m in the uk weather wise it’s not so bright. I’m torn between the two of these.
When you first get a Tough Solar G Shock, put it on a windowsill for s week. This should bring the capacitor to full charge. Thereafter, put the watch on windowsill for a full day about once a month. This should bring it up to full charge again.
The obvious answer is buy all of them, then buy more, then a few more, then realize you have a problem and the only way out is through so you buy a few more!
Haha. Spoken like a true G-Shock aficionado! Made me genuinely lol. The slippery slope is really guys. Cheers man!
Buddyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! I heard my name :)))))) thank you for being a cool guy and giving me shoutout, and even more coming from you makes it really special :)
Brilliant video and always enjoy how you cover your topics, and this is one huge topic and you done a grand job :))
Just recapping on the Location side, this really should be an easy update as it doesn't involve the GG-B100, as really the GG-B100 is just a clever trigger to tell your device to recored the location, and after the device is telling the GG-B100 where to point using a bearing, so CASIO you really could do this :))
You really shouldn't let rechargeable lithium batteries run flat, they don't like it so much, and it'll be interesting how long it take so you can use the ABC side... so for me you showed just how after those 6 months of running in the dark it goes into charge, so if you were pushing buttons and using the ABC, how much shorter would it run?
The GG-B100 runs for up to 2yrs with the use they mention in the manual, but if you're not a heavy user I could see this running 3yrs+
I'm looking at maybe 1.5yrs as I do use the functions often, and so far my GG-B100 has replaced a few G-Shocks, and I have to be honest, it's kind of kicked my GW-9400 away too, but as that's such a gem of a G-Shock, it won't be flipped, it's got the lume which is amazing at night :)
I have to share this on my community page, and I will be doing another video that this video will get a mention, as it ties in with my video, and of course you have the GWG-1000 and I don't LML :-P

Thanks again and keep up the good work 🤙
Ah exciting hear you are getting the GWG-2000, let me know how you find it! :)
Cheers!
Hows the battery of ur gg b100 til now?
GWG 1000. The best G-Shock for ever
Check out the GWG-1000 or Rangeman GW-9400, they may well meet your needs. Thank you for the comment good Sir...

Just ordered a GWG1000 myself, I'm excited. For the shit I put watches through, I hope it'll do OK. I'm wanting to move to an analog watch
The Rangeman looks "small" between that 2 monsters.
Great vídeo 👍

I've been following StormRider when his channel was called Casio Philosophy or something similar, but what I like is how he goes further than many other channels, with his personal thoughts and conclusions... Forget about those who moan if it isn't solar, just think, the GG-B100 will run 2yrs without any worry if it's not getting enough solar vitamin D's... as it has plenty of Vitamin G's :))

Thanks for the kind words Sir. Yes the GG-B100 undeniably has more functions. Excellent watch and more comfortable than the GWG-1000. The GWG has does have some advantages and is a great watch but day to day GG is more practical in my opinion.
Great video thanks. So fundamentally you love them all but highly recommend the Rangeman it seems.
Not too far off. I don't like suggest what watches people should but as it's totally dependant on use cases and there is such a great variety of G-Shock that there will always be a model that is 'just right' for everybody. I do think the Rangeman and Mudman for that matter tick many boxes. Cheers!

Honestly in that case I’d go for the G9700 Mudman. Such a class watch and a suitable size.
Cheers :)

So now it has been reset from inside the module, all is working 100%
Keep an eye on it for the next few days, if it does it again take a photo and send to the seller asking for a return, just easier that way.
Hope that helps buddy ;)
I know he would come good! Thanks so much WatchUP69! You are a legend in the world of all things CASIO!!!

Do you mean the GG-B100 Mudmaster? I'm not sure the 9400 Rangeman has that capability. The location indicator on the GG-B100 is cool...
@@stormrider1119 you can save the bearing on the 9400 and find your way back. Learned it from watch geek

Time stamp 8:50. Maybe it's not as in depth as I thought but just saves the bearing or direction you want to head. My bad. Thanks for all these videos sir! Cheers!
@@brianhunley5302 this is indeed really cool. I was vaguely aware but had never tried it. I need to give it a try. Thanks for bringing it up, much appreciated good Sir.
Hi there ... I think I screwed in the crown way too much and now I can't pull it out.. is there any way to make it come out?😭
Hello, just in terms of toughness and built quality which of these models is superior?
Does this watch work with NATO straps and are they screw bars or spring bars to hold the strap on? Thanks 🙏
Interesting question. I've never seen a GG-B100 on NATO strap. Looking at mine I assume you would need some kind of adapter like people put on the G-Shock squares also. Hope that helps...
Actually just checked on Google images 'ggb100 NATO strap'. Have a look at what that brings up, you can see some people do with adapters and some without. Adapters look nicer in my opinion and probably more comfortable. Cheers
@@stormrider1119 just purchased one for Father’s Day (to me haha) same one as yours , got it for £225 new 😄 thanks to your excellent review 👏

Hi guys, I just want to know if the ggb100 and gwg1000 have the same glass size?
Hi Pete, what about trying Suzuki cars? Reasonable prices, good specs and I have had 2 Swifts 11 and 15 plates both so reliable and great value... Just a thought. Cheers.

On gg b100 u can tell it by dimmer led lights, thats when u must aware about ur battery life. Thanks

Has to be GA-2100 / GA-2110. Check my videos on them.
@@stormrider1119 Thanks.!
No problem my friend :)
I bought the GWG1000 British Army version and I retuned it as I can't read the display even with my reading glasses on. I was pissed as I really liked it otherwise I wear a garmin instinct tactical because I got it for a great price. I can just about make out the time on the digital display when in bed.
I saw more British forces colab model come out but they all seem to have been bought up/
I like the idea of solar and garmin released a new version of the instinct with solar as well as a o2 sensor. I was going to punt for one of them when the price went soaring. I'm just looking for a g shock with a compass. I don't care about temp as it's never accurate. Altitude isn't a worry either. I Baro storm alarm is useful though.
I've seen the British Army versions of these knocking about so maybe I'll take a punt on one
Normal battery is the way I like to go. I live in the Adirondack mountains and if there is no sun you lose the watch. I have had this happen a few times with my Citizen solar watch. Since then I try to look for battery watches. 🤠
buy a small yellow light lamp n put yuhr watch under it
@@CaptainScorpio24 I did not know this, thank you, that is a game changer for me.
Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 thank you for the Time you take to explain all about these amazing watches. Blessings🙏.
Yes,he broke the carbon bezel when he pulled the watch apart - it broke because it didn't 'like' being bent - this is not unusual for carbon...if you don't pull it apart you won't be bending the carbon - so it'll be as strong as!!!😉
Great video! 👍 I bought the ggb100 with olive strap, superb watch
Great choice, I bet it will rarely leave your wrist. Cheers!
If I want to calculate the length of the battery. Can I base on the day release of the watch?
So I just let it then.
i want to ask,how to reset the step count without wait until the day ends?
Good question. I've only ever used it to track day steps and haven't seen a way to zero it during the day but will look into it for you... Cheers for dropping by the channel
It seems like it isn't an option although you can go into the G-Shock Connect App and review steps taken throughout the day so you can extrapolate from that to some degree. Interesting bit of feedback though, it would be a nice addition.
Nice review. Just hairy arm was a surprise lol
Great video! What happened to watchup69? He was so much fun, we miss him...
IndoWatch has the blue paracord, StormRider has the blonde fur. 😂
Great comparison!
A pace count is crucial useing a compass and map.that step counter is great.
Their combination Analog and Digital displays are very compelling. Keep up the great work! BTW, I recently added a GBD- H1000 to my G-Shock collection. It has a very legible reverse LED MIP display. And, CASIO just updated the watch's firmware to version 8 and released an (Beta Version) update for to the mobile MOVE App.
@@musiclaw1486 thanks so much for the kind words, they are much appreciated. The two Mudmasters are very different, I often wonder why they have the same name. If you want something that is indestructible with tough solar go for GWG-1000. If you want something with a few more functions and G-Shock Connect App via Bluetooth the GG-B100 is a solid option and a bit cheaper but no crystal sapphire or tough solar. Interesting to hear you have the GBD-H1000, I've been wanting to get in for a while now, what are your thoughts? I heard the firmware needed an update to help the app work more intuitively. Hey bro, I just received my strap adapters for the GGB100 and put on a nato style strap on my British Muddie. Looks great.
Man, please share the link for the adapters. Have been quite difficult to find... Thank you!
Hi, random question: Does the sensor in the GG-B100 contain mercury (for the thermometer and/or altimeter)? Thank you!
I am no expert but I believe this is a purely digital thermometer and doesn't rely on that, but don't quote me. A question for @WatchUP69 I suggest. Cheers!
The whole issue is that the battery change to maintain its water and mud resist sealing capabilities will need to go to Casio. It won’t be cheap at least £40 or £50. Buy them all. I got square solar G, steel full metal G and 9400 Blackout.
The blackout is sweet. Cheers 🥂
Thanks for the great review.
Thank you for the kind words, they are much appreciated. It’s a great watch, wore mine in the gym today.
Does the bluetooth always have to stay connected or it can sync on demand?

Cool question Utkarsh, I appreciate it. Probably not to be honest as this was the right watch at the time for me and I was intrigued by its capability. It is great value for money considering it is Bluetooth enabled, compass, step tracker, carbon core. I'm a big fan of the GG-B100. @@stormrider1119 Thanks. Will it be a good buy in 2021? Or is there a better option in this price range?
@@Pokko247 yes still a good option in 2021 in that price range. Assuming you want something heavy duty and quite big on the wrist. The only other obvious contender in that league is the G-9300 Rangeman. Superb watch, a bit more compact. Not Bluetooth but has tough solar, compass, temp, barometer etc. Maybe try them both on in a mall and see what feels and looks right on your wrist. I always try and encourage that. Cheers!

Put a NATO strap on it. Heck Casio is overtly humble in my opinion ... but a guy on UA-cam even put it next to a magnet 🧲 machine and it didn't even phase it.
it took me like a year to realize the watch REC you everytime you use altimeter. so if you want all that info clear you literally have to clear it everytime you check or set the altimeter.
You know I was not aware of that either. I need to look into that to fully understand why it does that. Thanks for the information. Cheers!
@@stormrider1119 yup, it will cap your max and min readouts if you use the altimeter even once. it doesnt really matter but I like to keep all my readouts zeroed like even the alarms set to default ect.
@@typerightseesight good to know. Thanks man
@@stormrider1119 it wont "cap" them. I mean they are always updateable but for people who like a clean readout you have to clear the REC screen everytime you check altimeter. you can remove REC from the mode menu in the app i believe but I dont mess with any of the defaults.
Yeah i usually leave it in my window & it normally changes it ...fairly quick
What’ is its battery life???
I believe the expectancy is around two years but it's all dependant on type of use etc. It's not something I worry about personally. Great watch.
Cheers!
