I have been told that one should never touch the plus and minus of a battery with the bare fingers in order to avoid shortcut of the battery. Use a plastic tweezers instead. Very usefull video and nice voice. 👍🤛
Hey, crazy enough, when I was putting my watch back together, I paused your video and when putting the straps on, forgot to put the same mud/shock resist item in place before putting the screw in. Thanks for the video!
Using a nail or any tool does not seem to release the battery. You make it look so easy and effortless. I've tried over and over again and i can not get the battery to release. But thank you for the video. I'll keep trying.
hey, just realize that u're using a 1.55V tester for a 3V battery.. that's why it's showing that the old battery still got lots of juice. anyway thanks for the video.
you should replace the gasket after opening the watchcase to make it fully waterrestant again. you also should lubricate the gasket with a tip of silicone grease. and please don't touch the battery with your bare fingers. use some plastic tweezers instead. it works but it was not a proper battery change like watchmakers would do it.
You won't able to see the level indicator. However, when the battery level is really low, it will flash the low battery sign on the watch display until you replace the battery.
i replaced mine and almost broke it because the sticker holds the battery in. I duno if its by design or not but i tried ripping the battery out and almost took the metal ring latch with it. Make sure you peel the sticker off first. some people leave it. but i reapplied.
Not recommended. Because the battery thickness is different. If the battery is too thick will cause the water resistance to fail. If it’s too thin, the electric connection is unstable.
It’s simple. Use any conductor to connect the two reset points. The location of those two points are on the sticker of the battery cover, it’s in my video and you can see that from my video’s cover photo.
hello, I am writing to you from Norway and I greet you very much. I have a question about this watch. I've had it three years and it just stopped working. started with battery replacement. after the replacement it worked for 6 months, after the next one it worked for two months, and so it happened that after the last replacement the minute hand only vibrated and did not work until it ran out of batteries in a few hours. what could be the reason ?
You need to properly reset your watch after replacing the battery. I normally turn off the auto time update, as it consumes battery. The battery quality also matters. But 2 months is definitely too short. If reset won’t help, probably check with your local Gshock technician.
I saw the recovery warning and I realized my battery was low so I bought the battery CR 2025 and I watch the video and I proceeded to change the battery following the video at the end of it all I realized I forgot to install the white plate I don't know what the function is but I know it's necessary because they put it there for a reason and I knew I had to put that part back so I took the watch apart again and put the missing piece back in I don't ever want to take that watch apart again it was a one-time thing however everything was successful the screws on the back plate nearly stripped one after tightening it all the way all is good two more years of watch use I'll probably get another watch before then I like the frogman Casio diving watch
i just went swimming with mine and it works good. I wanted to test it under water. The altimeter actually is more responsive because barometric pressure will overload at like 2 foot of water.
That means the battery voltage is low. Replacing the battery will fix the issue. However if you don’t replace it, the watch can still run for a long time. It’s just that the recovery sign will appear more often.
I am assuming the reset is just a hard reset incase the buttons don't work. If you are replacing the battery.. It goes dead and I am assuming you don't need to.
So what was actually wrong with your watch? I't didn't sound like you were getting a low battery warning? And it had a full battery.... so is it broken?
For normal usage it’s fine. Just when you are using bluetooth functions intensively, The watch will show “recovering” message. During this period you can’t run any function of the watch, can’t even check the time. Wait for about 10 minutes then it will back to normal. Therefore, I replaced the battery even though it hasn’t reached to the low battery status.
@@noname0007 ah okay, so its an overload warning. Maybe some batteries are more consistent with load then others? I saw a video on cr2025 batteries and they were all quite different! I'd expect them to pretty much be the same. Energiser were quite low on the list with voltage load. Maybe this will help?
You can simply email casio service, they will let you know the price and ship the parts to you. For Australian customer, you can email casioservice@shriro.com.au
I used a #0 screwdriver but still stripped the head of the Phillips screw, perhaps you must use a precision screwdriver 🪛 with a fine tip, maybe the screws are designed to be only removed once

Great video. I bought this watch today and saved this video for when I have to change the battery years from now
Glad it helped

Thanks a million. I followed your very well put together instructions
Glad it helped!
Thank you very much! Greetings from Spain.

Great video, thank you. Having a go as soon as tool arrive, Timpsons would not touch this for some reason.
Glad it helped
Merci pour cette vidéo qui m'a été très utile pour le remplacement de la batterie de ma montre Casio 👋
I’m glad it’s helpful.
That's perfectly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Glad I could help!

super chilled dude!
I'm trien to do this on my watch, but iv got 1 screw that will not move, iv slightly damaged the head now, any advice how to remove it thanks
put a rubber band on the damaged screw, then give it some force then twist it. Hopefully it helps.

Sorry, I forgot...where can I see the battery level of the watch? Thank you for the video...!

@@noname0007 and if I connect to my smartphone through the {connect} program, I won’t see it either....? Thank you!

Good point.
I just fuckin smoked mine wtf lol
hey, second time as of today! haha
This time just now.. lol dont put the pins in backwards they wont come back out. lol
Just press the battery down gently while holding the metal piece with the sticker. It will unglue
Why not use tweezers when handling the battery? Also, clean & regrease the seal for WR.
That’s a good idea.
How long did you have watch before battery replacement?
About 2 years of normal usage. However if you only use it as a clock. The battery will last much longer.
Have you tried installing a sr2032 battery? Do you think it would suit these hours?
Not recommended. Because the battery thickness is different. If the battery is too thick will cause the water resistance to fail. If it’s too thin, the electric connection is unstable.
Good video, thanks
Great job, clear as crystal.👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks 👍
Can you do a video on how to factory reset the GG-B100 ? Pls

The hot air trick is pretty new for me , for how long should I keep the hot air blowing?
Just like drying your hair, not very long and not too hot. As long as the watch is warm enough to evaporate all the moisture in the watch.

How do you reset the steps? Do you have to remove the battery?
I assume you meant steps counting. It reset itself every day.
After changing the battery, is it still water resistant?
As long as the rubber seal are installed properly. Mine still works fine with batteries changed twice during my usage.
hai
is it worth buying this watch in Feb 2023?
or should I wait for any latest model from mudmaster or rangeman
I have this watch it's brilliant. I would buy it. You wouldn't regret it

May I ask, I have a ggb100 and the metal tab that protects the connection button does it turn a bit, is this normal?
It’s normal.
What happens if the back screws have been stripped? mine are and cant seem to get the screws out to replace battery
I guess you can try to get it out by using a vise. Pulling it while twisting it. Hope that helps.
Where can I get a screw like that???
You can order it from Casio.
May I know the screwdriver details?
Ph0 for the all the Phillips screws. But there are 2 different sizes of hex. You better buy a set of all kinds of screwdriver bits.
it is still water-resistant, I mean 200m? Thanks for showing the process.
For sure. Actually if you put some grease on the rubber seal the result will be even better.

@@noname0007 yes it just keeps coming up, thanks for the info
Hello, any info how long last the batery ? Regards
It depends on the usage. Normally it can last for 3 years.
10:00 英语不好,没明白这个操作什么意思?还有触哪两个点?
让这两个点通电来重制设置。英文就是reset。
@@noname0007 哦,好,谢谢,有机会看看,因为我没接触过这个表。
a very interesting video
does the watch remain waterproof after changing the battery?
Yes. As long as the seals still intact.

Hell yea dawg thank you. Slightly different model but it still helped. And I’m curious what would happen if you didn’t rest it ?
Hi mate. The hands won't be aline with the time if you don't reset it.
What happens when you do not reset it.?
Then your time on your digital display won't be matching with the analog clock.
The screws should be tightened in a star pattern.
Good idea.
Thank you!!!

For the record, you can't accurately measure state of charge on these lithium coin cells using voltage.
