I think the first piston you put in was put in with the wrong direction. The bigger crescent shape of the piston points to the intake because intake valves are bigger than exhaust valves.
Not sure this repair will last. The 3.3 head bolts are so shallow, they pull out with the threads after being touched. It is so common, huhnsolutions made a special helicoil kit for the 3.3. Our local shop will not even rebuild the 3.3.
It’s will never work with helicoil kit this block trash , when the thread comes out, you need another block for sure ,just don’t wast your time brother ,I tried a lot of them .
How did you get your timing marks on the cams at the top like that? Does it matter if mine are little off from yours as long as the chains are lined up with the dots? Thanks!
The torque for the bolts is 29 ft lbs in a criss cross pattern, starting with the middle first and working your way out. Then, turn them all 120 degrees, then turn them all another 90 degrees.
@@autotech9043 Wrong. Judging by your video, you torque the head bolts to somewhere between 600 and 1,000 ft lbs with a 1,000 ft-lbs-rated impact wrench, then turn the head bolts 1 degree. Tightening main, rod and head bolts with an impact is the pentacle of laziness. You're full of crap.
Hey what part numbers did you use for crankshaft & main and rod bearings . I can’t seem to find std parts. Please if you can help would be much appreciated.
How many miles was on this engine? Why was the rebuild required? I have the same engine in 2013 Santa Fe XL with about a little over 112,000 miles. Mine still runs great! I do oil changes every 5,000 miles or every 6 months, which ever comes first.
What state are you located in? I can remove and replace it, but I'm afraid to do timing components. I have a blown head gasket and a newborn daughter🎉 yay! @autotech9043
Now i am used 85 nm Kia carnival v6 Petrol engine head gasket change car overheating, head bolt slip but block thread problem and thread makeing now okay engine start,
Had this motor in a sorento for 80,000 miles at which point the car was sold. Never a problem with it and it was super powerful in that car.
Yes they have the same engine, Kia and Hyundai are same

Yes the piston has the row mark.

helped a lot thank you!

Yes if the chain lined up with mark that’s good
Nice video. I am rebuilding my engine need help for Tappet clearance. I forgot mark before out from cylinder head
Thanks bro, the tapper clearance the big goes for exhaust and the intake takes small clearance gap
@autotech9043 what tapper clearance?
Wondering if you the valve lash needed adjustment in your case? Those are pain to do
Hi if you didn’t move the cups you don’t have to worry about adjustments
If you want to move them make sure mark them before be easy for you
What is the torque specs for the head bolts? I looked in the description and I haven’t seen nothing. Thanks.
The torque for the bolts is 29 ft lbs in a criss cross pattern, starting with the middle first and working your way out. Then, turn them all 120 degrees, then turn them all another 90 degrees.
Thanks. 🙏🏻

Hey , when you buy the crankshaft from the place they should give you the rod and main bearing with
I usually buy them from the the place called best engine
They will send you the whole packet crankshaft +main bearing+rod bearing
I have similar engine and similar problem can you please suggest me who can replace bearings in Washington State near Redmond,
Sorry I didn’t know
Eso que le hecha a las bancada del ciguañal es aceite? Que número es recomendable usar gracias
Sorry , no espaniola
It is engine build lube (assembly grease)
Hello friend, could you please tell me what pounds or where I can get them to assemble this complete engine, thanks.
Yes loot at descriptions
Hello my friend, which ones could you tell me what the torques were please? thank you
Hey look at descriptions
Torque recommendations?
Look at descriptions please 🙏
Thank you:)
hello, could you tell me what would be the proper torque for this cylinder head?
I think at the description
Does the oil pump need to be timed?
Don’t have to
@@autotech9043 thanks.

3000 miles it better, this kind of engines are sensitive
Lot of engine failure from not change oil on the time
Was it lots of $ I have a 3.3 with a timing code Mechanic shop says they can put some sensors in it but it doesn't mean that it will fix it
Depends what issue got
Want to rebuild another? same engine
Yes but we do all kind of engines

@autotech9043
How many torque used engines head
Look at descriptions there shows.
I did posted
Now i am used 85 nm Kia carnival v6 Petrol engine head gasket change car overheating, head bolt slip but block thread problem and thread makeing now okay engine start,
What kind of grease did you use when installing the camshaft retainers?
Yes I do use the ultra slick oil
Did you reuse the head bolts?
Yes I did use the same ones
Id recommend new head bolts.
