This doctor is THE BEST. I wish that I could appreciate her 20 years ago. Although it is never too late. She is amazing to watch All mothers and wives should watch this channel! She talks the way I think and eats the way I know we all should be living to save our families from the FOOD INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.
You are unlike ANY Infectious Disease Doctor. Your common sense and helpful natural suggestions are more helpful than a prescriptions. Why can't more doctors be like you?
Please don't ever stop posting videos like this , it's very important for us , I'm trying to save my own life. And these videos are helping me tremendously! Thanks a million!
Ay my parents never bought us Mcdonald, "don't eat trash" "why you eating that?" she made us homemade lunch until the last day of high school...this habit was hard to break so now I made my own lunches.
I wish my doctor was like you. On one visit my neurologist she asked me Jeffery what do you think brings on your seizures. I told her the food then she smiled and told me your absolutely wright. you are so smart thank you.
I'm 62, and trying after a lifetime of bad eating patterns to change them. I now have MS and other diseases, all of them autoimmune. I hope it isn't too late to find my way back toward a semblace of health. I still have a lot to do to give it a serious go. Thank you for helping me realize.
Check out Dr. Bobby Price on UA-cam who has a 30 day detox that will get all the toxins out of your system. Watch some of his videos because they are very helpful and I will be doing starting his detox myself.
Go keto. Honestly, if you give it a go, a good honest try, you'll feel so much better. So many people find healing in different ways, I hope you find your path to health and vitality ❤❤ blessings❤❤
Just reduce your carbs.., not necessarily keto, as high carb foods are all lacking nutrient density. Don't cook the bejeezers out of your veggies, as the doctor notes in her video, and add beans. Thus doctor raves about the healthiness of eating beans and lentils. You can learn online about presoaking before cooking to reduce the lectins which make them more digestible, too.
Please don't ever stop your style. I laughed when you said some people complain You talk of scary things. "Scary Things " are good for people to hear. Facts do not lie. People's feelings do. Thank you so much doctor!
@@JimKlein-p8r I got mine from Home Depot. They’re sold in all big box stores. Better availability in spring. Also sold online from some of the gardening UA-camrs like MI Gardener, etc.
My favorite daily “break-fast” is kale, half of a frozen lemon, cilantro, chia seeds, splash of apple cider vinegar, scoop of coconut oil, and water. Sometimes adding other green veg. Didn’t take long to LOVE this flavor combo. I don’t like to add berries, but I love to blend them for a dessert sorbet.
I very much appreciate the science and proof statements in your videos. Your explanations are so informative. Not scary, as you mentioned some people said. Truth is truth, and ignoring the facts doesn’t change them. Please, please continue your incredibly informative videos.
Happy you mention beets! I've been a "lab rat" for studies in vascular research for many studies and beets and watermelon with rind have made a big difference for me. (I have HFpEF PH but doing fine)
Tip about zucchini, japanese egg plant and sweet potato etc.......slice and then microwave the zucchini for 1- minutes under a bowl on a plate. microwave sliced chard for 30 seconds the same way. Puncture the courgette/eggplant with a ford and microwave for two -three minutes..... microwave the sweet potatoe whole or peeled and sliced. More energy efficient, quicker and the bowl and plate retain the moisture essentially steaming the veg. You are a blessing in our lives, I hope this is useful to you. Much love to you and your family.
You covered a lot info in this presentation! I've been changing my diet over the last few years, it's not something you do quickly but have to be aware of when choosing food. Make the healthy choice. Prevention is the key and diet/exercise makes a big difference. Veggies are expensive and some people just don't have a choice. I've been supplementing my food by creating a garden in my backyard. I had to improve the soil over the years but now I can grow things like: chard, kale, beets, figs, etc. Some greens produce over the summer (and berries) and give you a continuous supply of greens. It's a fun hobby too.
Can you speak about oxalates? I have seen conflicting information about it. I like a lot of food with oxalates like lambs quarters, kale spinach etc…..
Thank you for sharing some of your family’s experiences. This video made me a bit emotional but I also appreciate to see your vulnerable side. TY Dr Liu for educating us, your own style which I love because when u explain the science behind it all, it’s easier for me to adapt to them.
This is the most informative video on health and I've watched them all. Started eating a vegan diet 12 years ago and at 82 feel great. When I start to eat processed food I go back and listen to this wonderful doctor.
Thank you, another great video! Even though I have had SLE for a long time I have never experienced organ failure, alhamdulillah. I think this is because my mom always focused our family diet on cruciferous vegetables and carotinoids when I was growing up. My disease self-limits, so even when it starts to affect major organs and systems, it doesn't get very far. Food is truly medicine!
I am so appreciative of your brilliant approach to explaining how we can eat in a simple way to living a beneficial life. Not only are we getting substantive information, but your stupendous presentations make it user friendly/possible to implement immediately and start rejuvenating our operating systems. I love your work, Dr Liu, and as an RN it helps me pass on the wisdom and benefits. Keep shining your light xoxo

Don't understand the mustard seed (powder?) -- the picture shows seed, not powder -- that you should "throw in a pinch of mustard seed powder" -- throw it into where? But "don't cook that myrosinase" ??? Could you clarify what you mean in the couple of lines around the 5th minute of the video? You've got me all excited about the prospect of getting the most out of dinosaur kale, so I really want to understand what to do (with mustard) when it comes to cooking the kale. Just please spell out the operation from cutting the kale to cooking it. Would be much appreciated.
Yes! After washing it how do you cook it? Steam, boil, stir fry? How long? What seasonings? Also I see berries in a mason jar with maybe yogurt??? That you blend? Is this a breakfast drink? I need step by step. Like the cut zucchini with oil and onion powder sounds great. Thx Doc

I think it's important to understand both sides of the health discussion. How else can you choose to improve your health without all the facts, and prevention of potential health issues, which if left, can cause much more serious problems Thank you for educating us on both aspects of health, from good to worse scenarios. Helps us understand our bodies better. Your explanation makes much more sense as Ì have gone to dieticians and not been successful with their approach to insulin resistance and weight loss. I had some really caring doctors in past but Drs visits are limited so being proactive is important. Really appreciate your way of explaining the facts and no nonsense explanation and guidance to proceed with a win win approach to healing my gut issues.
Just subscribe- you convinced me Doc, i need to loose 15 lbs, eat mainly veggies and 1/2 c of meat, not be able to achieve, I don’t eat sugar, purple brown rice once a week, potatoes once a week, 2 tortillas once a week, help please
I’m here for it!!! It’s fascinating to hear you pronounce all these complicated terms. It’s inspiring. I struggle with pronouncing all the new medications out there. I get tongue tied😂

I think it's important to understand both sides of the health discussion. How else can you choose to improve your health without all the facts, and prevention of potential health issues, which if left, can cause much more serious problems
Thank you for educating us on both aspects of health, from good to worse scenarios. Helps us understand our bodies better.

I had some really caring doctors in past but Drs visits are limited so being proactive is important.
Really appreciate your way of explaining the facts and no nonsense explanation and guidance to proceed with a win win approach to healing my gut issues.
We appreciate you! ❤
