Dr. Liu graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1998 and is Double Boarded in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. She is licensed in the state of California.
This channel is separate from Dr. Liu’s duties as Attending Medical Staff @ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and as Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. The views on this channel are her own.

    Is there a way to stop the extreme gas and bloating from sunchoke? Don't worry, it doesn't happen to everyone.. but it does to me. I would love to eat sunchoke.. but I get this problem. Does anyone know if something can be done to avoid this reaction (other than not eating it)?

    I really wish I had known this before I had my RNY 34 yrs ago but I think you might have still been in high school. LOL Thank you for the recipes and amazing insight to how our bodies are confused with processed foods. All my brothers and sisters are diabetic as well as my aunt. I think I would have been as well if I didn't have the RNY. I really appreciate ALL of your videos. Thank you.

    In the past two years, I have been grinding my own flour from organic wheats to make bread. It sounds like this bread is one of the best foods for my family. We also live in apple country. Glad to know we have a couple good things going for improving our health.

    I miss so many of the fruits you talked about. I used to eat a lot of them when I was in Hong Kong. But I have been a missionary in Guatemala for 5 years now, and we don’t have any of these fruits you mentioned in Guatemala besides grapes. I really miss 荔枝,龍眼,噢,你沒有提及,很miss榴蓮also😄!     Thank you for making a video about SIBO. I was diagnosed 5 years ago after having the symptoms for at least a decade. I had to BEG for the hydrogen breath tests. Prior to diagnosis, I had multiple endoscopies and colonoscopies.

    When I buy prune juice, I freeze it in ice cube trays, and store in a zip lock freezer bag. Take one out and put it on your morning oatmeal for sweetness & flavor, similar to brown sugar.

    Then suggest the recommendations on dose which is TOXIC or within range of EFFECTIVE. Plus, the supplement market isn't regulated and it seems physicians don't really properly monitor patients so they don't overdose on supplements. It's a vicious cycle in this version of capitalism. Most people can't afford medical care with highly limited access to resources we are seen as property for billing purposes then the scams all over misinformation over and over. Medical debt slavery = subpar products to health care providers it means less knowledgeable doctors etc. As in America in this version trained to see people as property for billing purposes not to cure. Most doctors only spend 15 minutes with me. I'm told your insurance won't cover testing your Vitamin D levels etc. Gaslit then left in worse shape lower quality of life unnecessarily stressed. So, tell LEVELS* even then most of us don't have a lab or knowledge to understand our bodies on a scientific data level to make informed decisions. Not to mention the food supplies are trash. This species psychology behind money in dumbnomics is toxic. Sure can pop in supplements yet, everyone should be able to know their correct Vitamin levels down to how's my internal organs in order to make informed decisions, that isn't happening. Literally live on a prayer 🙏. Fully. Now i see this is an infomercial for a very over-priced powder getting pimp as you come across as you care about health. That makes more sense now.

    I cannot do a lot of foods such as Kale, foods with iodine, etc. due to my autoimmune disease. I hate that my diet is so limited.

    People who have cateracs are blessed. If they made it to age 80 yrs, they had good DNA and did something right throughout their life time. Aging is a blessing. However, thic influencer is right. When you do get to older ages, you want to be as able as possible. Eat well and get the right eye specialist to remove caterac.

    It's a myth that rice refrigerated 24 hours has a lower glycemic index. A study has found that refrigeration of cooked rice makes no difference. If this doctor disagrees with this study, she should do her own study and present the facts.

    Any food or drink that gives you a perceivable ‘rush’ is an addictive substance that should be consumed in a lower concentration, or not at all. The rush that you experience reinforces the need to consume it. This is a problem when the substance has negative effects on the body, like diabetes from prolonged consumption of sugar. It will feel impossible to reduce these substances at first, but with every ‘no’ to consume it, the craving intensity will lower. It is a good feeling to be in control… you can do it!
