  • This milk stays fresh for up to One Month, requires only One Ingredient, it's cheaper than some regular milk and definitely more cheaper than store bought Heavy Cream...lower in carbs too, 1 cup (220g) is zero total carbs. It's rich and creamy and reminds me of fresh farm milk.

    Oh my goodness this is a game changer. I just made a batch of the two to one ratio with cold water and I drank the whole thing straight from the nutri bullet. Then I did a second batch and I put some cocoa powder in it my wife and I drank the whole thing with such glee. This is amazing thank you.

    I'm trying this right now! I hope it is perfect as-is, but if too sour I'll pinch in a little sweetener when I pour it. Normally I use heavy cream and water. Never considered cream cheese for "milk". Genius !

    OMG! I saw this video quite awhile ago and I made the milk. I couldn’t remember exactly what to do so I tried to find this again. It took more then 45 mins, with every title I could think of, to find this video. This milk is absolutely wonderful. Great taste and long lasting. No sweetener, no gum. I use it for everything that calls for milk cuz I don’t like almond or other nut milks. Thanks so much

      @@CookwithMel1 . I am subscribed! But I’m subscribed to a lot of keto and low carb channels and I couldn’t remember where I saw this recipe. Lol. I truly love this “milk”. I used to buy raw milk but the farm went out of business during CV. I don’t buy grocery store milk…..pasteurized and chemicals I don’t want. But this is a great replacement since I don’t like the nut milks……they’re nuts, not milk, and it tastes like nuts in water to me. But this! The closest thing I’ve come to replacing real milk…….and it does last a long time. This will always be what I use in any recipe or to drink it straight. I made a smoothie with it this morning and it was delicious. I saw many recipes with cream and sugar substitute and xanthan gum but I knew your recipe was made with cream cheese. And I was determined to find it again. I’m so glad I did. 👍👏

    Thank you Mel for this idea! I actually already had this experiment before because here alternative milk is expensive 🫰🏻 so a few years ago I tried to dilute heavy cream, I tried Greek yogurt, tried coconut milk and cream cheese as well. Then I found out that the way I like the best is to dilute peanut butter with water and have a peanut milk. Almond milk I didn't like as much. So now I stick to peanut milk but if I have a recipe that calls for milk I always use your technique because of it's neutral flavor as the peanut one would be too strong in a recipe.

    I love the ingenuity of this recipe, so no hate or shade towards the creator at all. I guess I am sensitive to cream cheese "flavor". Mine has aged 2 weeks and it's still just as "sour" cream cheese tasting as the first day. I used the 2 to 1 ration with Philly Cream Cheese. I have tried putting this in a smoothies, keto granola, coffee was a HUGE no and other things and the cream cheese flavor is super pronounced. I won't be remaking this, I am only putting this here if someone else is sensitive to the flavor of cream cheese, this is doesn't taste like cream, half and half or even milk, think unsweetened liquid cheesecake. Which is delicious, but not what I wanted to drink...lol It has a very creamy texture though.

      Sure I can help here if you like. I developed a keto friendly flour here: ua-cam.com/video/6zfy7jfq65k/v-deo.htmlsi=3lCW-z4WganwK84J
      Using any melktert recipe you would replace the flour with this. Then it's your sweetener instead of sugar and keto friendly milk. And hey presto you're all sorted.

      Hello there, thanks so much. No it's not dumb at all. Regular milk isn't allowed on the keto diet but we are allowed cream. Problem with cream is the carb count can be unreliable so that's why I used cream cheese

    Hello Mel, I’m a little bit confused. Have you used 125 gr. Philedelphia for half a liter? Or 250 gr.? Thank you for the recipe 🙏💐 I really appreciate it. I’m also from Germany and going to use another cream cheese. I have almond milk for my coffee at the moment but I’ll let you know.

    • @CookwithMel1
      @CookwithMel1  Місяць тому

      Hi There. My blender cup was too small to add the whole 250g so I had to split it. In total I used 250g cream cheese to 500g Water. Although that's a 2:1 ratio you could also use a 3:1 ratio because my milk is quite rich and creamy. I hope you enjoy it...love my German friends so thank you for letting me know 😊 ☺️ 💜

      @CookwithMel1 hey, yeah.. it's similar. I usually add about 300ml of boiled water to a blender then drop in a large wedge of butter - 25g upwards.. I haven't really measured it - this much is for my hot drink. I usually add a couple of egg yolks to it to make it extra creamy too.

One cup (249 grams) of whole milk with 3.25% fat contains 88% water, 8.14 grams of protein, 12 grams of carbohydrates, 12 grams of sugar, and 8 grams of fat. 8 0z (1 block or 224g) of Philadelphia Cream Cheese contains 16g of protein, 8g carbohydrates, 0g added sugar, and 80g fat.
