The whole finale bit with Prudence deciding while the rest of the crew enjoys being alive and together was absolutely hilarious!
When Prudence said "did you say no to me" in utter befuddlement, I have never been more scared.
Prudence: Oh, Liliana can I talk to you alone? Everyone else step outside for a moment...
as they can both summon demons, pru was keeping them from harm...
I love that Dob got to necromancy before Prudence.
He had speak with dead for a long time.

Warlocks don’t really get much Necromancy - They’d have to nap every morning to keep control of their horde with their limited spell slots - they get more temporary minion abilities, summoning beings like fey and fiends, that don’t have daily maintenance costs like raised undead.
*Edit:* Prudence could have theoretically taken _Undying Servitude_ as one of her Invocations for a free Animate Dead once a day to create and maintain a small gaggle of undead.

I love how it's like Prudence is the Kraken Priests' big sister asking Daddy Cthulhu for craft supplies so that they can make a Fathers' day present for him - 47:50
This felt like an early episode. At no point was it even close to the rails and everything was completely silly. Loved it!
Johnny wanted this to be a combat encounter, so it went completely off the rails. ^^
Dob's plan to get everyone to unite against them is possibly the most Dob plan there could be.

Johnny missed the opportunity to have the next crystal be in Katie Pearlhead's possession. O the awkwardness that would come from Dob showing up to take something from his former fiancee with the woman he left her at the altar for.
I really hope we see Katie again before the end. Surely next week isn't the finale right?
I mean they are 3/5 and the 4th has forceably transported them somewhere unknown, it's entirely possible she will show up in this or the next episode

@@bertcornelissen6294I think it's the count of two at the beginning. Some presumption that it's two after when this adventure absolutely brings the count down to one.
Though they may have to do something with them which would necessitate one more episode.
There was a missed oppurtunity to add a lot of Skelberts to the hammer.

Ethelfrith only provided the enchantment to the hammer, everything else is the skeletons‘ choice.
Prudence ominously asking 'What do you want for dinner?' while in deep contemplation was very funny. I would love to think some part of Jane was genuinely considering it for a second.
For a long time I thought they needed a "giant conga reel" for the ritual. It would've been hilarious.
Based on looking up the world's longest conga line, I now have this image of 119,986 3 foot eels holding on to each others tails and flicking their fines in unison before being wound around a giant spool with a handle.
Excited to see the total kill count from the Oxventurer's after the final season is over. The wrecked ship in this episode absolutely counts.
James from Dead Meat doing an hours long Kill Count per season would be hilarious.

Johnny's teenage priest was amazing.
Not sure if Andy remembered that their last Cthulhu temple adventure was a Christmas episode, or if the callback of his blasphemous Cthulhu disguise acting like Santa was a happy accident.
The perils of being British - every time anyone says "kraken priest" I can't help but hear "cracking priest", like in Wallace & Gromit.

I'm heartbroken realizing I'll likely never see Merilwen turn into a goose whilst Ellen dons the sock-puppet goose from Show of the Weekend.

It will always be my belief that Prudence mulched everyone and all subsequent episodes are just the others dying nerouns firing.
I haven't even started this episode yet. (I will, don't worry) But I HAVE to say, unironically, and 100% truthfully, that "Eldrich or Die Trying" might be the greatest D&D pun title I've ever heard. I can barely stop laughing long enoughto type this.

Clearly? Sounds like Santa Claus, or I guess that would be Father Christmas there, to me.
So we've had, an eleven settlement (merilwen) mistmyer (eggbert) and cthulu worshipers (prudence) so far each of the final episodes feels catered towards a specific character in some way so I predict the next episodes will be for corizon (maybe necropolis on sea or something to do with his ship?) And dob ( we've already visited the lake district so maybe he visits his sister again?)
I think for Corazon it will have to do with the whale and cursed gold coming back. And Dob will come face to face with Katie Pearl head in a rivalry of thieves vs adventurers.
The deep scions feel like a Monty Python sketch.
They and Egbert would get along wonderfully. Holy warriors getting a chance to talk shop. =D
Guys, this was crystal number 4, not 3. They already have 1 from Binbag, and Prudence even said that they're looking for the 4th when she's talking to Cthulu-dad.
Corazon disguised as Cthulu-dad just made me think of Santa, and I love that he acknowledged that he sounded like Santa. I love that this turned into a fetch quest with expected grinding. Not sure they've ever had one like this before. Ah yes, have Merilwyn turn into an animal that is most likely going to get killed as part of the ritual. Yeah, she'll just turn back to a wood elf at 0 hit points, but then the ritual won't have worked. I'm actually now surprised that the conger eel is a witness, although in hindsight I shouldn't have been surprised at all.

The final minutes of this episode had me laughing so hard that I must have looked mad at work...
This episode damn near broke me. The bit at the end had me rolling with laughter.

How anyone can venture into a Crystal Dome and not hear Richard O'Brien shouting "Will you start the fans please?" is beyond me ...

5 gems. 1 per episode, 3 already down. 2 episodes minimum for when they go to Void Hell. Seems the Final Season will be a short one. Shame it couldn't be like Season 2 that was about 40 episodes long.
Excited for what D&D they're going to do after. But this 6 year epic finally ending is going to be a gut punch.

At least it’s better than watching them carry on into soullessness.
Recent seasons have been 10 episodes, so maybe getting in and out of Void Hell will be more complicated than we think.
True, but Johnny deserves a break. His last few episodes on dungeonbreaker were so charged with anger he named the dungeon "the dungeon of catharsis" and just messed with the players (who deserved it).
@@IESUproductions at least 3, maybe 4 sessions... 1 to get in, 1 to find the BBEG,1 to kill it and its hordes, and 1 to either seduce, kill or abandon Liliana. Maybe 1 where they recover the mountain of lake treasure and spend it as an epilogue.

i feel like i've had this kind of quest in a few different games, love it how everyone was thinking of different ways to go about it.
also love how tempting Johnny was being to try to get Prudence to sacrifice the rest of the oxventures, looked like she almost considered doing it as well.

Will this crystal, which they found in the dome, perhaps contain some sort of maze? ;)
I don't play D&D so am unfamiliar with most of the monsters etc. So when Johnny was describing the fight between the Deep Scions and the Kraken Priests I thought they were going for a Bioshock-meets-Splatoon thing.
Even playing it there are so many monsters that Johnny has introduced a number of new ones to me through Oxventures.
I usually look them up on the Forgotten Realms wiki for the art. No insult to Johnny's descriptions but I do like to see these things.

Which is better, watching the video or listening to the podcast? I mean I try to do both but now that we're nearly caught up it's too fresh! Oh the first world problems!
I am raising money to help get a very close friend out of an extremely emotionally abusive environment. to do so I'll be streaming dead space 1, 2, and 3 despite me being an extreme coward. I'll also play doom eternal on the hardest difficulty even though I suck, I'll also be doing this for three days of constant streaming. Any support would greatly appreciated.
