Rob is absolutely killing it being the frustrated DM 🤣🤣🤣. His face makes me break bearing everytime 🤣
Our party did this twice to our DM. Once it was 2 weeks worth of work he put into an encounter that opened a path of prob 2 months of content. 3 nat 20's later - pages meet trashcan, so yah I know that face well
we all love him!
After watching this compilation again, I feel like Rob's acting chops don't get enough love. He's a master of subtle expressions (mostly of the "I can't believe this shit" variety). Watching him react to - let's be honest, mostly Rowan's - shenanigans is the best part of the skits.
Rob- begins session with 100 pages in the binder- finishes session with 3.

Bad Maths is basically Rowan not understanding his character sheet after 10 sessions
10? That's overly generous. It took him how many years to finally understand Reckless Attack, Rage and Frenzy, even with the diagram Rob made for him? 🤣
That’s why I like Roll20, it adds all the modifiers for me.

I know players who don't get anything on their sheet above second level for literal years. It's awful.
I had a coworker get hit in the head by a 2x4 and had the same problem.

Of course, if you get the math wrong, they're going to penalize you...because, you know, F' you. But the government works for your benefit!! Always remember that! 😆

@@ZS-bg7jo Yeah, that's the crazy part. They know how much you owe, but they can't tell you. You need to figure it out and if you figure wrong you get a fine. All of which could be avoided if they could just legally tell you what they know.

@@silenthill4100 of course she did. When she was being carried across the bridge right before she was murdernated by her rescuers. She almost got a face full of day but the heroes decided her watching the light fade as she could literally see the end of her life arrive was more fitting.
The worst part is that the campaign is *The Journey for the Oracle* Lol
I too gained +1 exhaustion and 3 points of bludgeoning damage while watching this video.

2nd skit was a result of Rob's suffering with Baradun and Co. wanting to know every single detail of some random NPCs instead of progressing with the plot.
We need Dude to come back, he had such a good and intriguing back story, best character by far

If the Wizard's Staff as well as the Druid's Staff are Arcane Foci then the verbal components shouldn't matter.

Rob's Skygroundree costume is both impressive for being pulled together so quickly, and oh so hilariously sad.
What do you mean so quickly? Clearly that costume was will designed a made to fit, most likely custom, and it all goes together very well. Proof that Skygrountree is a well established character and that to those parts.

I can relate to Rob as a forever DM.
So what I'm hearing is the problem is most likely Rowan.
Will, that's only because he's only playing a bard out of need. They didn't have Hamish playing with them. You always need a bard, so instead of getting fucked by a dragon, you get fucked by a dragon, and if good enough, now you have a dragon on your team.
Love season 2! Please do season 3, whenever that is 😅

I really love the attention to detail in everything from the costumes, to the backgrounds, to the special effects. One can really tell how much effort you put into these videos!

Another title: Rob’s problems as a DM
The most fun part is nearly all of these skits are inspired by actual Adventures in Azerim player events. I'm hoping they also make one where one of the players constantly introduces himself, his loss of power, and his fugitive status to everyone he meets.
I noticed the beholder on Rob's folder at 00:33. Reminds me of Four Keys Book Arts when Dennis re-bound his 5th ed books and made a metal beholder for the cover.

Took me a while to realize Rowan actually looks like the guy who did mo-cap for Henry in kingdom come.
Same way Alan actually looked exactly like the actor who plays dandelion in the witcher.

This series is great. I've had so much fun watching.
I really hope we'll get to see more of the actress that played Schmerple (or Alan's sister). She's fantastic. Her facial expressions and demeanor are hilarious and fit perfectly. You're all awesome playing your parts. She just really stood out to me and I hope she'll get to be on again.

I was introduced to D@D when it consisted of a 6 sided dice, paper, pencil and imagination. Years later I became a DM and while many of the sessions were fun and full of laughter and fond memories, there were some players like that , and after 20 years in the DM trenches, computers finally came to the rescue and i can play in peace. Fun to watch something like this , well done to whole crew and the story telling brings back memories :) and :O, love it ,Y'all have made a fan.

It's so funny in 15 minutes. It's not only Rowan who is holding the ladder that doesn't know he has a ladder but everyone else doesn't know he has a ladder either even though they're staring directly at it only. Rob knows 😂
I feel like he could have mentioned Rowan's walking speed was slowed by his high encumbrance.

I always struggle with understanding how my attack turn works, and keeping track of everything.
But I was smart and didn’t want to drive everyone insane so I’d literally be figuring out what to do and how to do it when it was someone else’s turn.
That way by the time it was my turn I could just do it.
Eventually i figured it out and wrote notes and such but it would legit take me several minutes to properly calculate my rolls

The wrong npc is great, a great visual representation of players getting distracted by the most random stuff. Oxventure (outside Xbox d&d group) has great moments of doing this to Johnny's npc's.

The tavern thing, I have had this happen so often. I try and add atmosphere with oddments lying around and the players get obsessed with them
