I got chills! Those tapestries were downright scary. Johnny is absolutly killing it with the exciting and atmospheric storytelling!!

I was so proud of him for accepting that ghosts might be real. Then so very happy when he went back on it.

@@mysteriouscolours1532 I would love for it to be clarified that he indeed can read common, but after he goes on and on with "Come on guys, of course I can read common, how else do you think I get by?" it is revealed that he can not in fact write it, so the pamphlets he's been given out are in fact just drawings of a purple cow in the sky with a thumbs up and a smiley face next to it.
They're basically Ikea instruction booklets but for self-assembling worship of La Vache Mauve.
(Edit: Yes. Egbert includes an Allen key with every one. He's careless, not inconsiderate.)

@@backonlazer791 Not necessarily less chaotic, just with a better grasp of the rules from the off. Although I have no idea what system they intend to continue with specifically.
I love that the whole crew forgot that Prudence can spider-climb.... and it's not like she was out of spell-slots, they specifically had a short rest before they went into the last room.
I swear it's like they all use "shroedinger's spellbook" - no one ever knows what abilities or spells they have until someone else looks at their character sheet, and I'm all about it lol.
Merrilwen also has a bow that has a teleport function once per long rest. So they could have gotten across with that.

Johnny's roleplaying as Lilianna goes so hard, especially that mini panic before the shimmying. I'm loving this arc.

I'm really loving Johnny's Characterisation of Liliana this season, maybe the highlight for me so far?
Adding moments of vulnerability to what was previously a seemingly inhuman force of nature is always a great bit of characterization. Liliana being gripped by a sense of terror and her freezing up when faced with a vision of her death were standout scenes for sure.
@@MinniMaster yeah, it really feels like Lilliana has been so powerful for so long, that she'd forgotten her own mortality, and with her raw combat-magic power felt a lot of security. And yet had to face a tapestry of her death, then moments after was physically overpowered and almost killed if not for the Oxventurers. I like the idea that Lilliana herself is caught off-guard by how she's feeling, and is shaken by it
Now that it’s coming to an end,
I really appreciate the relationship between Egbert and Shatter-shield. It’s really well done and I commend both Mike and Johnny

It must have taken a lot of courage for Dob to admit he'd had a crush on Liliana from afar, but it must have taken even more self-restraint from Liliana to not point out the first time they properly met he was serenading her from about six feet away. 😂

I'm increasingly expecting the Lilliana redemption, but am also completely ready for the backstab.
The more redeemed she is, the more heart-breaking it will be.
Also, they seem to have forgotten they moved all their funds to be Giovani's hoard in Mist Mire.

Really loved this episode. Literally gasped at the final dice challenge (no spoilers, but if you know, you know). Can't wait for the next one!
Lol, I thought Prudence's tapestry would be her kneeling before an altar, dressed as a nun, renouncing her wicked ways and giving her life to God. Probably would've been a more terrifying fate for her.
Prudence wearing the vestments of La Vache Mauve, handing out pamphlets on the street.
The tapestries aren't just the worst case or horrible fates for them, necessarily. They're a depiction of where they would be without the others. Prudence falling wholesale to her peril to her patron without the conscienceof the party. Corazon remaining chased by regret and the cursed ruining his life. Egbert staying in exile unable to achieve penance. Dob not having others look after his reckless decisions. Merrilwen not being stromg enough alone and being unable to protect what she loves. Lilliana suffering the consequences of her mistake.

Before this series ends, one thing I'll always be grateful for with Dob is that despite the many cliche bard tropes that we're all aware of, Luke doesn't fall into any of them and really makes Dob his own. Dob's trait of falling in love with the villains is a fun spin on the old "horny bard" trope, with him being a serial romancer rather than having a lot of one night stands. The first time I played a proper campaign, I played a bard in a series of arcs that ended up lasting about five years and I absolutely took inspiration from Dob and made her a student of the "clever scheme" school of adventuring.
I'd like to congratulate Johnny because everything from the moment they entered the dining hall was so desperately unpleasant! Kudos you magnificent bastard that was horrifying.
Also, frankly, that was the most vibes I've felt from Dob and Liliana so far and made me want this ship to sail once more.
Now you see, the Dobiana ship may seem to have crashed and burned, but my analytical eye can clearly see this is just a bump on the road of their relationship's development to add some spice.
Missed opportunity, but was probably more worthwhile for adventure's sake.

And she has that bow that lets her teleport at least one other person!

I found Corazon's tapestry mildly humours, but Dob and Merilwens' were outright heart-breaking. I love that scene.

That was an amazing session!! The return to Mistmire and some familiar characters, the very well-done character moments, the HORROR (*shudder*), Dob and Liliana getting their issues sorted out in a satisfying way (with Merilwen's help), Liliana getting character development... 10/10!

Assuming the tapastries were glimpses into alternate realities where the Oxventurers Guild never formed, it really speaks to Corazon's suprising skill that even fully alone he was never bested by the curse or his old crew.

My new favorite episode, and that was a high bar to top! This new season is funny, well-thought, touching, and seems to connect all the loose threads of the last seasons. Thank you everyone for these wonderful adventures, can't wait for what's next!

I'm so very much going to miss Shattershield and the Oxventure crew messing with him, especially Dob and Corazon.
Well, the Battle Royale was good practice for that bit, I guess.
All I could think of with the chasm of ghost hands bit was Prudence using Spider Climb or Merilwyn transforming into some sort of bird (or other creature capable of flight). Not sure what Liliana can do, but if she could Spider Climb or transform then those 3 could carry the other 3 across. That was very nerve wracking with Dob rolling that 1. I was not expecting Egbert's disbelief of ghosts to come to fruition like that. Excellent episode!

This episode was great, Egbert's journey of ghost knowledge was great, and the tapestry section wad TERRIFYING DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN PLS
This was such a brilliant episode, with Egbert's epiphany regarding ghosts, with Bonesley joining the crew, and the terrifying tapestry battle. I'm really enjoying the way Johnny plays Liliana.

Oh man, I've just had an idea for another one-shot. D&D But... Everyone's a Threaded Horror. Essentially this episode but the horrors won-they killed the Guild and now take their places in the world, either trying to be heroes or being villains that look exactly like the Guild. Kind of like that one episode of Star Trek: Voyager, but evil.
Glad to see them all having fun!

characters wake up in a ruined burning village.
they know somehow both the direction and distance to those responsible and have a burning desire to seek revenge.
((DM Note, unknown to them, and obfuscated by magic, they died in the village attack and have become deathless versions of the Revenant undead. depending on how they act during the adventure, they'll either retain their humanity and be ressurrected at the end, or will lose their humanity and slowly become more and more apparent revenants.))

i can't believe this, out of everything to happen in Oxventure the last thing i expected was for Egbert to believe in ghosts. it might of only been for a few minutes but truly these are the end times are at hand

If the goal of the chamber was to test teamwork, it could have had some super-powerful magic field that would disable any other solution, like in the other room where the tapestries were completely invulnerable to their counterparts. Also those tapestries are going to haunt my dreams btw XD
