The game's writing really isn't doing enough to make me care about Fishy. Why is the protagonist so emotionally attached to an unconscious Jar-Jar Binks?
he is just THAT lonely, and the game really is not so good and coherent.

@bottlewisp Let me rephrase my previous question, I'm curious what you mean by this as I would like to know the source of this confusion. What it appears you are suggesting is that he is undergoing cancer treatment, which is wildly incorrect.

I come to the conclusion, that the best use of >30fps Raytracing in interactive media, or any approach to have better global-illumination/fog/reflections/AO, is for visual storytelling, with a focus on characters.
Any action or puzzle or drama just distracts too much.
It if course lends itself more to horror/mystery/thriller/cyberpunk/isekai, and is less efficient in darker sets like submarine (harder to denoise).
Visuals never age too well, but good stories are timeless, and visual storytelling is easier to translate.
Games like Journey or to-the-moon more so than puzzle adventure games.
2:00 "somebody forgot to put the puzzles in. never push to main", HacknSlash sadly is still the only game, where all autosaves are "push to fork"

23:25 this part of the game is WEIRD, because it is pretty much a disappointing story midpoint, that is pretty much just a clip-show and montage. The fact that the protagonist barely changes here tells you, that this is mostly a tragedy.

32:00 "this is not a terrible idea" - leigh , except it is. Sean bouchard actually exposes the flaw, and this is going to matter for the game!
32:40 the irony here is that the game itself is not self aware, that the evil side is "all about sparkles and spectacle"
