The argument that early access gives people the opportunity to see the game before they buy it is absolute non-sense. You can already do that without early access by just not buying the game immediately on release. In practice these early access offers are just the actual release of the game (at a higher price) and then a few days later the game gets a permanent discount. There are no practical advantages or disadvantages to it.

@@MaimedFern That's pretty much what we have now? Personally I think the interactions between stuff is pretty entertaining in MTG today, but the value of some of these cards is absurd. Looking through the list of examples, I see stuff like Phoenix Chick and Monastery Swiftspear. 1cmc for haste + additional abilities is wild. Monstrous Rage is R for instant-speed +2+0 with an additional aura giving +1/+1 and trample. Those are just uncommons. The biggest difference to me is being able to respond to options with scry/draw added into basically everything, which is nice, but it's a bit unfortunate that so many of these cards are expected to do 3+ things. 7 cards in-hand can literally have 10+ spells.
