Something made me click on the upload even though I haven't watched a Mostly Walking in a hot minute. I'm glad I did, though! This game is so charming. Bonus fun fact, it's been so long since I watched Mostly Walking that Leigh and I were both different genders the last time lol
Re: The Matrix: "humans as batteries" was a studio note. Originally our brains were being networked for processing power, but studio execs didn't think people would get it.
there exist 4 cube movies. Cube Cube2 hypercube (with time travel) Cube zero (prison keeper point of view) a very old black and white movie where someone is locked in alone in a box, definitely cube-inspiring.
The original script of the matrix was "they use human brains as processors", but one executive must have been a console fanboy, insisting that "this is too complicated, we need to make it dumber", and no one dared to fire that idiot. This happened.
Hey Day9 you should check out a game called, Sword of the stars The Pit. There is 2 games now because the company made a 2nd game but the first one is the one I'm talking about, it is so fun and challenging i think you would like it. 😎
This "adventure game" is made for you, because: This "adventure game" has absolutely no puzzles at all (besides going to the obvious places that you are told to go to to talk to the person you are told to meet there and then unscrewing all the cleanly visible screws as you were told). This "adventure game" is barely even a visual novel, it does not even give an illusion of choice, it has barely any nonlinear parts (which person to talk to first, there is not even a rule-of-3-items-to-collect in any order), where you spend most of the time getting flushed and disinfected on your way, walking back and forth constantly, like a delivery boy. This "adventure game" is very boring, extremely slow paced and full of padding, and its visuals will age poorly, it has no replay value, is utterly forgettable. This is not a game, and it is barely even "an experience". Whatever this is, i want some of what the devs where taking when they decided to make this. This "adventure game" is neither funny, nor critical-drama. It is not even much of a horror game, despite all the horror potential of its setting, it is very mild and nonsensical and dumb scifi mystery, making "Scooby Doo" look like sherlock holmes in comparison. This "adventure game" has a nonsensical dumb-surprise-villain plot-twist, that is even dumber than "The hostile extraterrestrials are allergic to water", to a point where you wished that there were "alien hostiles, that are allergic to water", instead of what this game dares to do. I do not hate this "game", it is unique and not terrible, it just is not an adventure game, and definitely >90% walking-simulator in disguise.

What a lovely game, worth waiting for :)

I ain't reading all that
i read all that and agree
I don’t think the visuals will age poorly. But I don’t have an opinion yet on everything else you said though.
If you think any one those things somehow make it not an adventure game then you have mental illness. It's literally an adventure game.
