I mean seriously what practical reason is there for the wings to be smaller? I understand the cockpit since naturally reach would be an issue, however, there isn't really any major reason why the wings are so small.
In battlefront 2 yoda’s ship is a regular Eta 2, so I think the model should be changed to this.
I think it's the standard ETA-2 for gameplay reasons. Yoda's ship is way smaller than the ETA-2, and that ship is already really small. Imagine trying to shoot Yoda's TCW ship down, not much of a hitbox lol

I loved this arc for several reasons, but one of the main ones because R2 went on this adventure, proving my theory that R2 is the wisest being in the universe.

Hey! There’s this game called X3 Albion prelude and it has a really cool Star Wars mod for it and it has like almost every Star Wars ship you could think of in the mod. So if you guys bought that game, downloaded the mod and another mod called the cheats mod (you can find videos on how to download it on UA-cam) so you can Spawn ships without having to earn credits to buy them you could have some really good pictures/videos of Star Wars ships to use in your videos. Just a thought

Great review/video!! I have a jedi star fighter vehicle from hasbeo that came with Yoda it was green & silver but it was V shaped like the older jedi star fighters but much smaller, it also came with a astromech head/dome stuck on the ship. But it looked nothing like this one, plus this one's cooler!👍☯️👍
With the way ‘space’ works in the star wars universe, wouldn’t the ion engines be far more efficient for Yoda’s ship? It is a fraction of the size of a normal ETA-2 but being pushed by the same thrust/output, so would require a smaller amount of fuel to operate surely.

Yoda’s modified ETA-2 makes since it would help Jedi of a smaller statures like Yoda & Master Piell. Too bad we didn’t see Master Piell get an ETA-2 like Yoda’s.

That actually raises an interesting point, there are a lot of Jedi from the council on down with very non-standard body types, so it'd be interesting to see what kind of customized starfighters they fly. I'd have to assume any knight or master who comes from a species that produces starships might be able to come up with an acceptable fighter made by their own people for their own people. Or we could assume that the hangar at the Jedi Temple has a crew of top-notch customizers, most of whom probably died in Barriss Offee's stupid bombing.
Can you do the transport shuttle that Palpatine uses on Mustafar in ROTS? Always wondered if it was as balanced as the Lambda

Cockpit looks like it would have been a test for the Tie Fighters, or an earlier design of them. Possibly, the TIE wings were used due to the cannons being moved into the cockpit sphere.

yeah i think there are some dumb people that i have called out in comments in the past that just dislike the stuff when they see it. I know that might be a bit of a reach, but it always happens shortly after it releases, and will almost always be the same amount of dislikes then just stay there. I always wondered why the astromech droids were always exposed to space, at least partially, in every fighter rather than being housed inside the hull.
It seems to me that being even partially exposed would expose them to space dangers like micro meteors, debris from destroyed ships and buzz droids to name a few
I know that being exposed like this allows the droids to repair the ship like R2 did to Luke's X Wing at the Battle of Yavin but couldn't they have been inside the hull and pop out if needed like R2 and 3 other droids on the Naboo queen's ship when escaping the blockade in Phantom Menace and then popping back in afterwords?
It's all about space, there simply is no room in a starfighter for a astromech so it has to stick out
@@poggylp1169 That can't be true since pretty much every starfighter in SW exposes the droid's head from the "neck" up. No matter how big or small the ship is or how big the droid is
Even the tiny BB-8's head is exposed.
Plus, with ships like the Naboo starfighter from Phantom Menace, R2 had to extend his head several feet above his body in order for his head to be exposed into space
@@dragonweyr44 even if the starfighters are different, the astromechs are still always the same, so it makes sense that their heads are always exposed. Having an universal standart always comes with a downside. Maybe they can't use their scanners, communication etc otherwise.
Don't know what you mean speaking of the naboo starfighter, R2s head was just as exposed as always.
@@poggylp1169 Like I said before, Poe Dameron's X Wing is roughly the same size as Luke Skywalker's and BB-8 is roughly 1/3 the size of R2-D2 and yet BB-8's head still sticks out of the to of the ship. At one point in the movie, he actually has to retract back into the ship to do repairs before popping back out again
All astromech droid heads HAVE to stick out of the top for some reason that I don't see the point of
As for the Naboo starfighter from Phantom Menace, most starfighters, like the X Wing and the Jedi starfighters the droid in inserted, plugged into if you will, from the top of the ship (see the pre battle sequence for the Battle of Yavin in A New Hope) either by mechanical means or, in R2's case, rocket pods on his legs, But the Naboo fighters load the droid from underneath the ship. If you look at a tech manual for the Naboo fighter from Phantom Menace, you'll see that R2's body sits inside the hull while he has to extend his head up several feet so that it sits outside of the ship

Okay, now I just imagine many of these ships flying around piloted by astromechs. No organic pilot, just an R2 or BB unit mounted in the thing, allowing more room for fuel, tibana gas, and possibly shields. No need for life support or inertial compensators, just a droid zipping around in a fighter smaller than most repair droids

It’s like a TIE prototype. The displays inside closely match those of a standard TIE.
Don't know why, but this is my favourite ship ever
so unless there was a fueling scene that was cut from the episode, yoda can go from coresant, to dagoba, then the home of the mediclorians, and lastly korriban, Each location I assume are at various and lengthy parts of the galaxy. So either I don't precisely understand the fuel range of ships, or he refueled several times and they just didn't show it do to it pausing his quest.
The question is, how come no one was able to caught onto Yoda during said refueling? Refueling stations also wouldn’t be too remote that the Jedi, with many of their members being spread across the galaxy as military officers, should be able to reach one of these refueling systems.
Anakin got caught by the Council for breaking Yoda out of medical and into his space craft. The Council, concerned with Yoda’s recent dreams and behavior, should be on alert trying to find him before he did something crazy.
This ship feels like Anakin wanted to poke fun at Yoda by giving him a baby starfighter...and Mace laughed

How do you maintain and test a starfighter like that? Do you have to bring in specialized personnel?
Like, if you're a humanoid starfighter designer, and you've built this special one-off ship for Yoda, how do you test fly it? It's Yoda-sized; do you climb in with your knees around your ears and take a lap around the planet? Do you place a help wanted ad for a test pilot from a miniature species?
its strange how yoda's ship looks strikingly like the predecessor to an imperial tie fighter. they must've seen a lot of sense in the design of his ship but stripped down the design to accomodate the idea of disposable fighters.

What’s kinda funny is this custom one probably cost a pretty penny, but if they just modified it from the regular interceptor, they could’ve probably fit a hyperdrive and several other tricks in there.
Yeah, it's almost as though the ship was designed to fit the pilot or something. But what you seem to want to think should've happened was that a two-foot-tall, green leprechaun should have been forced to use a ship for a standard human-sized pilot even though it would be far too big for him and the controls & interface are not positioned for him to use let alone reach.
