- I started out making a vlog about doing various ordinary chores on “typical” weekend at the Overlook. It turned out to be anything but typical. There will definitely be a follow-up coming shortly for this video! This video runs a little long...sorry!
CORRECTION: In the video I reference the Stihl FS90R line trimmer as a “Four Cycle”. The correct term is “Four Mix”.

By the looks of the impact I commend you on your tie down job. Hitting the Ditch and the physical impact and the LX is still on the deck is great. You did a great job securing it in place.

Oh Man Chris sorry about your trailer. Just glad you and Jet is ok 👍 besides that I think your weekend was pretty good. It is not easy maintaining two properties in to different locations but it is worth it. By now I hope you are done and settled with your insurance company. I can’t wait to see the new trailer. I had a car lose control and in front of me on winter roads a few years back. I tried desperately to miss him. Took him down the right side of the truck. He missed the truck and the trailer landing gear but t- boned the trailer tandems and took them out from under the trailer ... LOADED! He had his wife, twin 5 year old boys and 15 mo. old daughter in the car with him. He was the only one injured and he was treated and released. He was the only one in the car not wearing a seat belt. I had just gotten onto this highway and was gearing up. Had I been up to speed, they would have all been killed. Perhaps me as well. This guy was driving a Range Rover. Turns out, he di not have insurance. The trailer was totaled but my company bought it back and completely rebuilt the under carriage.
One bad decision or moment of inattention can change, (or end) your life.

Yikes, Chris! That was a SCARY close call! Glad you, your dog and the tractor are okay, but I think you’re right that the trailer is totaled. I don’t see how it could be made road worthy again. Thanks for sharing!

Well that’s to bad. Things happen in a flash and not much you can do. Ya, it looks totalled. Good you, dog and truck are ok.
To get rid of pot holes in a dirt gravel driveway, you have to dig below the bottom of the hole to fix it, so I’ve been told.

Great job on the video Chris. Sorry about your trailer. The equipment can be replaced. There are a lot of inattentive drivers out here on the road. I drive a semi to make my living. You would not believe how many times I meet a car on a 2 lane road that are either texting, reading a text, or reading from a note while meeting me. 2 vehicles traveling at 55 mph colliding would equal more than a 110 mph impact. They don't make bandaids that big.

Completely agree Gary. I too spend a lot of hours on the road every day and you really don't have to wait around very long to see some truly unbelievable antics out there! And don't get me started on texting. 😡🤬 It's one of the big reasons I sold my Harley.
@@watershedoverlook , you couldn’t get me on a motorcycle at gun point anymore. Formerly a volunteer firefighter. Numerous motorcycle accidents. Two were fatalities.

Ahh man that suck the big one...you need a car/truck camera.this time the guy could not get away...it's a good thing you got the chores done so you don't have to think about that...so glad your ok and the other people are good...now you get to get another trailer... your experienced and you know what you need for the next one... I'm looking forward to how you pick the new trailer...
Thanks BJ. You know, the terribly frustrating thing was that I HAD a gopro mounted on the windshield! I used it to film the final segment just before the crash and I really considered turning the camera around to film some of the trip home but then decided..."why waste the memory card space and battery, that will just be boring?" Guess that falls under the heading of "coulda', shoulda', woulda"!
