I have 4 of the six. I have purchased the added on lights and a backup camera but have not installed yet. I do have the third function on the front but have not added the rear remotes as yet. However there are three items that you did not mention that are also a game changer for my use. #1 is the grill guard!!! The first time I used my tractor I got a stick into the front grill which fortunately did not penetrate the grill or the radiator but made me aware of the potential. I ordered a custom powder coated to match steel grill guard for $350 and installed it myself. #2 is the fiberglass canopy. It was $650 installed and color matched to my tractor. Very nice to keep the weather at bay and the seat dry :) #3 is unique to my kubota grand L 3060 tractor. It was an add on for $65 installed cruise control Oooo very nice to prevent driver fatigue. As it can be easily set at any speed and continues at that speed until you hit the controls. So mowing or ? At a consistent 3 mph is no problem. Anyway those are my favorites and are well worth the $’s
@4leapfroggy All excellent choices! I would love a canopy, but my garage doors at the Overlook and at home both require that I lower the ROPS, so that would be problematic. Whenever I get around to the third function, I'll definitely be adding a grill guard! As to the cruise control...it comes standard on the LX, although I don't use it a ton. Thanks for watching! 👍😎
Pallet forks - Probably the very best accessory for a loader equipped tractor - not in the $100 or less category - but - once you get a set the bucket needs a place to be stored. Pallet forks are a back saver. When I bought my B2601 I got the dealer to add the extendable 3pt arms kit from the B2610 (they fit the B2601 perfectly) and come with the ratchet adjustable link - the ratcheting link is as you demonstrate is a game changer! Especially valuable with a box blade. I think the extendable 3 Pt kit was about $300 which I consider a good value - mades hooking up any attachment a breeze if you don’t want a quick attach.
@gregorymacneil2836 I am also a big pallet forks fan. I jokingly refer to them as "the poor man's grapple". Certainly there are things a grapple can do that forks can't (and I'd love to have one), but the forks are super versatile and a LOT cheaper!
You had me till the $2000 rear remotes. Not only would the money stop me but the chief cause of water in the hyd. oil are remote hydralics. If you leave your tools outside or just the hydraulic expansion and contraction adds water and debris to the oil reservoir.
Absolutely fantastic! Very excited to win! Thank you Chris. I really like your ratcheting side link. And of course the rear remotes. Nice video and thank you for the win you are a great friend and amazing for the community.
Nice spin on the top 5. And, Yes! That steering wheel spinner. Would not be without it. Had missed it in my Top 5. When I was a kid, without power steering, it was a thumb breaker is one caught a front wheel on a stump or rock. Today, nuthin’ but upside. Nicely done. PS - thanks to you, I’m adding 4 bucket hooks. PSS - I’m your newest subscriber.
Thanks for watching, subscribing and the kind words Howard...really appreciate the support. Yeah, that second set of hooks seemed like a no-brainer once I saw them in action! 👍😎
Yep. One of the first purchases I made...Steering Wheel Spinner. I grew up on the farm using these. I had to special order it from the Kubotoa dealer to get mine. My mirrors fall off when I hit ruts/bumps. I put a strap on them to hold them in place. Change your front headlights to LED bulbs! There is a Official ROPS light kit for the LX. You need to order the ratchet link under the "BX"
Yeah, I love that spinner! With the upgraded magnets 🧲 I've had no problems (so far) with dropping the mirrors. As mentioned in the video, switching to LED headlights was the first thing I did. I considered the Kubota light kit, but opted for the DIY...brighter and more cost effective. Thanks for watching Mark! 👍😎
I like your list Chris, I forgot to add my hooks on my honorable mentions, they are definitely handy to have. Congrats to Ross 👍🏻. Have a great week Chris 👍🏻🙋🏼♂️🙂
I bought one of those steering wheel spinners and a stocking cap when I bought my tractor. The dealer through in the tractor as part of the deal. 🤣 I don’t know if I have congratulated you on your 1000 subscribers milestone Chris. Well done Chris. Love your channel and the back and forth with you. As observant as you are, nothing gets by you , so we all need to get things right when you are watching🤣
Chris great job on the 5+ add-ons video. Very nicely done. I like the budget minded slant you took. Congratulations on reaching 1K subscribers. Wishing you many thousands more in the near future!!! Dan 😊 PS: Congratulations Ross on the Win !!!
Congratulations on 1K ! Love your Top 5 Never thought about the bucket hooks that way makes total sense I really like the side view Mirrors and magnets idea and upgrade The ratcheting side link I must get !!!! Great Gift ideas and thanks for the ideas!!
I got the remotes installed at the dealer when I bought my tractor. I bought my tractor in December of 2017 and never used them until I got my grapple this spring. I didn’t get the 3rd function so I ran hoses to the back and open and close the grapple with the hydraulic lever beside the seat. It would have cost right around $1000 to install the 3rd function and I just couldn’t see spending that much money when it really wasn’t necessary. Having everything controlled from the joystick would be nice but after using my grapple for a couple hours, I think I have the operating pretty well down. Good job on the review Chris. I like your take on it.
I like your approach to this "5 best", Chris. Nice to see the under $100. My favorite of yours is the hooks but also the location of the hooks located closer to the pin. Great idea! Congratulations on the 1000 subs. It's a huge accomplishment for sure. Congrats to Ross as well. Have a great weekend!
I like the mirrors, got mine from 5 Eleven Designs, rubber coated magnets, they’re great, a must for me blowing snow in the winter, I also remove them whenever I trailer the tractor.
Agreed. They are a BIG safety improvement when I'm out grading the road at the Overlook. Plus, really reduces neck soreness not having to keep my head on a swivel the whole time! 👍😎
How's she goin'? I like your favorite add-ons!! Especially you're #1, rear remote hydraulics. I sure wish I had them on my GC2300. Congrats to nRoss too. He does have a great channel, but your channel is pretty neat too!! Thanks for doing this and take 'er easy!!
This has been a great challange that has been doing the rounds. Congratulations on getting 1000 subscribers and congratulations to Ross. I enjoyed watching your top 5 add-ons and I like your top 5
Great mirrors I got mine from Magnemirror on eBay I bought some with super strong magnets that are unbelievably strong and bought rubber coated ones for my new Kubota the magnets are not as ridiculously strong but work great don’t move around. First set I bought from China on eBay and they would move around when I would hit a bump (cheap) so I read up and Magnemirror has several different strengths for the mirrors and I’m telling you the 650lb range are worth the extra money I can tell by looking at yours that they are bigger magnets than yours and you said you upgraded your magnets to something stronger but to get an upgrade from the ones I got you’d have to electrify the magnets first time I removed the mirrors I thought they were glued to the tractor but it was just the magnets strength.
@robertscott6215 That's awesome. Sounds like they might be too strong for an old guy like me to remove! 😉🤣 They sound like they might make it safe to leave the mirrors on when trailering. (I take mine off, just to be safe. Although once I forgot and they did stay put. 👍) Thanks for watching. 😎
Great video! Really been enjoying your videos. Your Hydraulic top link installation videos were top notch! - - Guess I can stop waiting for the UPS driver to bring my swag.
Great add ons. Also participated in the challenge a few weeks back. As you said, it was hard to pick just five. Steering wheel spinner is my favorite. It’s a lot more useful than one would think. Enjoyed the video and subbed.

@@watershedoverlook I'm looking at the Summit tractor (a lot of standard options) and I'll be asking about that and the top load hydraulic cylinder for the quick attachment!!??
Amen on the steering wheel spinner. That should come from the factory on every tractor.
