Guys please do not write hate comments about those kids. They are kids!!! It's important to recognize that children are HIGHLY impressionable and can absorb biases from the environment around them. This doesn't imply that the kids are themselves bad or good; rather, it only underscores the significance of addressing the broader issue of society's influence on young minds (especially when it comes to topics such as racism)❤

@Arvind Emmanuel: i totally agree with you. and what makes it so bad is that the original "Human" has taken on the ways of "Mankind." most say ( and think ) well, same thing. mankind is just a way to say all humans on earth making up mankind as one but no. I beg to differ. Mankind is close to the human in likeness. He has two arms, two legs, and a head ( Arm, Leg, Leg, Arm, Head, acronym: ALLAH ) but he ( mankind ) lacks the property of "Hue" and you can't just give yourself an attribute that you don't possess. this is one of 3 of the most hidden secrets to the world that's right in our faces. the Human is the only one that can produce multicolored races. This is not just by chance. God did this so that we could live forever and so could he through us. Mankind does not have this ability. Even when God said, "let there be light," it came from within triple blackness, void, nothing. as the tree that bares fruit is within the seed beneath the darkness of earth. it shall bring an abundance of life. that's the difference between human and mankind.

R riri no the boy was taught to love himself and the others probably just probably never bring it up, but at school the black kids are always looked at or made fun of because they look different it's not the kids fault either there's more whites around the native countrys so they don't see blacks as much.
Funny thing is, half of them weren't even black. But that's what black culture does, they worship lighter skin and then convince their kids and half breeds to hate their skin so they can all worship whites together.

I think this test is absolutelly wrong. Categories "nice" or "pretty" are ok, they say about a child's prefers. But category "bad/good" is different. What I see is that a child sitting if front of two dolls has to choose one doll aswering each question. The children are ok when aswering about pretty, nice, white/black, because these categories don't include "bad/good". But look at them when they're asked "which one is bad?" They still think that they HAVE TO choose ONE! Why even ask? I mean... If we don't pose bad (or stupid) questions we won't get bad (or stupid) answers. Asking this they made the children think that black is bad and they are similar to this. What if those kids didn't even think that way? Maybe I'm wrong.... But I wouldn't put kids in such situation where they have to choose black or white.
A much better question would be "Do you think one of the doll is bad?". That would remove the children who don't make an association of good/bad with skin colour.
You're kinda wrong. They chose black dolls as BAD. now imagine someone asks them there's a debate or war going on between white and black (without informing the reason of the war) and asks the kids to guess who might be the wrong one, the kids would instantly feel that the black ones are wrong because they believe that black is bad as they know Bad things are always wrong.
Yes that what I was thinking about for a little and a shy kid that they are not used to do things that they never did Or they just shy because they are being recorded
I was signed out on UA-cam and had to make effort to sign in just so I can tell you how stupid and brainwashed you are! It destroyed me that they actually think like that.. Try it out for yourself instead of talking shit and making up bullshit on the internet
Not shooting any shade, but does anyone else feel that this test is not really a good one? Why not instead say that there are dolls for them to play with and then leave the room and see which one they play with. Then ask them why? I don't know I feel there is a better way....
If you read the info at the beginning, they are recreating a test done many years ago, and the children in the vid were as honest as the ones in the original. It’s a sad reality, however, it’s a well done test to see how these children perceive these dolls, based on today’s racial issues. The children are not forced to pick only one doll, they could have said “neither” or “both”, but being small they answered in a way that was genuine. Even their reactions towards the end is important. It shows us how damaging a child’s perception of race can be towards themselves or others.
@AandA true, black and red are usually associated with evil, violence and war while blue and white are usually associated with peace, holiness and good
Watching kids feel ashamed of feeling more related to a black doll than a white doll just breaks my heart, it tells alot about our society, it's just not fair.
How do you know that its all because of prejudice these where African Americans so if anything they probably live around mostly white people and therefore most of their friends are going to be white. And the question wasn't which one's skin colour do you not like/think is ugly. It was which one do you relate with more and kids aren't going to be thinking logically lets be real if most of their friends are white then they'll obviously say the white doll. There where also various things like the kid who seemed confident with his answers at first but changed his answers half way through doesn't that show that by asking these questions your just making them more uncomfortable or the whole thing is fake. The whole set up is cruel and biased.
By asking “which is the bad one”, they are implying to these children that one of them IS indeed bad. They should have asked something like “do you think one of these dolls is better than the other? If so, which one is better.“ The questions asked in this specific order have the potential to traumatize these kids, geez
I would hope and always do during these types of tests, that a sane and intelligent adult is dispelling all myths and setting the kids straight before they go home. I hope that is what happens! I hear you!
I understand your point, but it’s not about whether the dolls are bad. It’s about IF one of the dolls is bad then which one is more likely to be. This is also a modern recreation of a psychological study done back in the civil rights movement, so they asked the same questions. Also, if you use “better” the meaning gets twisted while “good” and “bad” are completely universal.
Diamond's vlogs the point is the EFFECT prejudice and racism has against kids the kids are against the doll that looks like them no one is blaming the kids
I remember being a kid and getting my first black barbie. I was so excited because I had a black friend from school and I finally had a doll that reminded me of her. I always liked pretending my dolls were people in my life. I was so excited to show my friend and I told her the doll reminded me of her. Her mom was offended by me saying that. I didn't understand why as a kid. I mean, I was a little redheaded kid and didn't even have a redheaded barbie, so the standard blonde one was always "myself". Looking back now I guess she assumed I meant "black people all look alike" i don't know...She was my favorite barbie though and I always thought she was the prettiest barbie I owned. She looked different from all my other barbies and it made her unique in my eyes. I also loved my friend. I was always an outcast in school and was bullied for how I looked. She never bullied me and she liked me for me. Her and I could rely on each other and would comfort each other when the other kids were being mean. My family moved away and never saw her again. For years I had wished to go back because even at my new school kids would bully me. I no longer had that person who would comfort. I was heartbroken and still miss her dearly. I hope she's doing well and I hope things went better for her after I left.
I liked my black barbie, but she had weaker material for some reason and her leg broke. From that moment on, I did not play with her as much. She was an official though.

I’m a white person, and seeing this just breaks my heart. These children look around the ages of 6-10 and hate themselves for their skin color.. this made me cry physically. We need to come together and love each other. We should only hate people for their bad traits (things they can help), we should never hate someone else for their skin color or race! I have no idea what it’s like growing up other than growing up white, which is already hard without racism and stuff. But I can’t imagine how hard it must be growing up another race, and knowing that they have it so hard physically and mentally breaks me. We all need to agree to love and accept each other.

Star Heaven The only way to help her and other young black children is to separate our children from white children until they grow up to develop their critical minds.
When I was younger I had to do this experiment, and looking back it’s slightly flawed. Word Choice is so important for this. When you’re a kid and you’re only given a select number of choices, you think those are the ONLY choices you can choose from. So when they ask which one is good and which one is bad, kids aren’t gonna say neither or both because they’re not given those options. When I did the experiment I was around 8. I vividly remember thinking none of the dolls are good or bad, and that they’re just dolls. But again when you’re a kid you feel like I can only choose option a or option b. Don’t get me wrong…can kids be influenced by racist ideologies surrounding them? Of course. I just believed this experiment like any other experiment is slightly flawed
@@elmztana1201 So the experiment itself varies. Instead of 2 dolls I had to choose between 5 dolls. I remember choosing the white dolls for mean, black for nice and middle ones for pretty/ugly. My answers were kinda all over the place 😅
These are my exact thoughts! I think this experiment is weird. These are dolls, inanimate objects. How can they be bad or good? Maybe, if kids were given a third option, they would have said "neither". By the way, am I the only one to wonder whether the answers have something to do with average appearance in the place where you live in? I read somewhere that people who visually stand out from the crowd (have uncommon features, like different skin or hair colour) may seem prettier. As a white person, I have always found people of other races, especially tan or black girls, beautiful.

Yes black is beautiful, but how about buying your kid a black doll, AND a white doll? That'll teach them that we are equal. We should also teach our kids that they are amazing, no matter what skin color, but tell them there is always room for improvement.

Actually, not at all. It was based upon the southern dream of secession from the United States. The freeing of the slaves was just a political tool used by the Union to gain support and to inevitably weaken and end the Confederacy. Also, keep in mind the Civil War only ended slavery in the US, not segregation.

This is the biggest crock of bull ever. Number one the one asking questions is putting ideas in the child's mind. Why not ask how you feel about each doll instead of forcing kids how to think. Also, we need to blame society. Since we are young children, we are taught at young age that dark/black is evil, bad, and ugly. Most evil characters in fairy tales are depicted as dark or are seen wearing black. What about witches? black cats? Vampires? Why do we wear black to a funeral and why is white associated with a wedding? Remember Snow White is good and pretty. Why are we told to come home before dark? I could go on and on here, but this doll test means nothing.
‘HiTLeR’... I don’t think the child has a view of Eugenics and genetic superiority/inferiority racial narratives... I think the child likes blue eyes or is subject to cultural, social preferences. People tend to be attracted to demographics they grow up with. They are in Italy.

The fact that the girl at the end felt offended by the fact that she was black was especially heartbreaking for me. It's sad that the effect of racism has even touched our children. What is this world that we are living in?

@@SamS.7598 yes!

It's fake mate. One of the kids changed his mind half way through
How do you know that its all because of prejudice these where African Americans so if anything they probably live around mostly white people and therefore most of their friends are going to be white.
Shut up people have it so good now just he thankful fir what we have in todays age like it was way worse before racism aint even a bug big deal now
By asking “which is the bad one”, they are implying to these children that one of them IS indeed bad. They should have asked something like “do you think one of these dolls is better than the other? If so, which one is better.“
The questions asked in this specific order have the potential to traumatize these kids, geez
You are right !

I was waiting for at least ONE kid to say neither of them was bad or ugly…
So be honest , what did u pick ?
@@elmztana1201 So the experiment itself varies. Instead of 2 dolls I had to choose between 5 dolls. I remember choosing the white dolls for mean, black for nice and middle ones for pretty/ugly. My answers were kinda all over the place 😅
Choices are way above chance. 80% of time kids choose white. So forced choice excuse doesn't make sense
@@polkudr4828 Many kids don't see them as inanimate objects. They give them personality and that personality is often based on how they look.

okay this is what we should do black parents. buy a black doll for your daughter. teach her to love herself and appreciate her dark skin and curly Afro hair. cos black is beautiful ❤
Yes black is beautiful, but how about buying your kid a black doll, AND a white doll? That'll teach them that we are equal. We should also teach our kids that they are amazing, no matter what skin color, but tell them there is always room for improvement.

Lerato Moroane when i was kid i had black and white baby doll and i loved them both :))
This is heart breaking, even for a white like me. Segregation ended years ago and black children still think so low of themselves. These stereotypes... when will everyone be equal already? Isn’t that what the civil war was for?
Edit: Thank you SO much for all the likes! I appreciate it so much!
Actually, not at all. It was based upon the southern dream of secession from the United States. The freeing of the slaves was just a political tool used by the Union to gain support and to inevitably weaken and end the Confederacy. Also, keep in mind the Civil War only ended slavery in the US, not segregation.
But I entirely agree with you, this is a very upsetting topic.
Black people are not suffering because of racism but because of the destruction of the family and lack of moral character...Most (not all) of the black people hate white people. Most of the blacks have babies out of the wedlock... Most of the blacks don't have father's in their home and were bought up by their angry mothers and grandmothers and they have their mothers anger....and most of the blacks daddy is the govt...welfare and all.. Most of the black men are girly men and emotional and angry like their mothers...Black people should own their own shit up and stop blaming white people ..

My impression is that these children are responding, not what they think, but what they think the adult expects of them. The girl at the end, PERIODT! She stuck up for who she was, she warmed my heart. How they underestimated themselves and others, tells us how the world actually is- kids don't lie bout emotions.
Yet she already had anger and paranoia and some prejudice of her own!
The fact that the girl at the end felt offended by the fact that she was black was especially heartbreaking for me. That shows that she feels as though it is an insult to be called black, and their fore to be black is wrong. Meaning she feels inferior because of it.
