  • How to Magnetize Warhammer 40k Knights the Easy Way
    Imperial Knights are some of the biggest plastic kits that Games Workshop produces. Massive nearly $200 models with a plethora of weapon options and customizability. What is one to do when an unfortunate data-slate or FAQ makes your Knight inert? With this guide and the easy application of a few magnets there is nothing to fear!

    As someone who has just purchased his first knight , I needed this video. Subbed , thank you for the content. Look forward to watching the backlog. All the best from UK! :)

    Found it very useful, I think I don't want to do it anymore, lol. I'm not competitive and I think I'd rather just have the pose and weapon type locked in for a solid and sturdy finish.

    Great video!
    I went a little crazy magnetizing mine, and I have swappable head, masks, shield, legs, and missile launcher face plates in addition to everything here.
    I don't recommend doing the head (hard to get it to fit right again without rubbing against the body), but swappable masks are awesome.

      Yea you can definitely go way crazier with it haha I just wanted all of the gameplay options to be available basically.

    For the battle cannon found if you cut off the nub on the little ammo thing that got in the way of the other shield you can glue it to the battle cannon shield itself so you dont have to cut the other shield

    Great video! I'll use it as a tutorial to magnetize my first Knight.

  • @I_Am_Kas

    As a tutorial, I sadly found this to be a bit lacking.
    Showing steps and explaining steps is what makes the major difference, and I felt you did the former without the latter.

    RE: shoulder guns
    you can clip the pegs, put a magnet up in the Y of the yoke and on the stubber/melta/multilaser and they stick/swap nicely

    • @toasthammer
      @toasthammer  9 місяців тому +1

      Yep you totally can! i just personally didn't see a need to due so since the pressure fitting seemed quite stable, I think especially after I put down some primer/paint on the components

    I feel like i missed why magnetizing the main body of the battle cannon/thermal lance first is bad? is it the polarity issue? great video overall though, thank you!

    • @toasthammer
      @toasthammer  8 місяців тому +1

      Yea the polarity can interefere with magnetizing the arm portions if you're not careful!

  • @leos8813

    Question: For the gun chassis part, it seems like you're supposed to assemble superficial parts of the chassis differently depending on if it's an energy-based weapon or not (for example, the side and interior is different for the rapid fire battle canon). Do people just pick one and not worry that it's not quite correct for the other options?

    • @toasthammer
      @toasthammer  18 днів тому +1

      Good question! I have seen people magnetize all of those options before, but I didn't bother because it didn't seem worth it, so I tried to just pick the options that looked the most generic since I really think even other Knight players will like 99% not notice at all.

      @@toasthammer Thanks! I think I'll glue the ammo bit on very lightly so I can magnetize it in the future if I choose to do so. I'm configuring it as Canis Rex at first, and the las impulsor ammo bit still looks good for the other guns imho.

  • @Henner93

    How do you simply "place" your magnets in the socket holes without them being sucked out by the other magnet? Do you glue the magnets to the sprue-bits or in the sockets themselves with pva-glue, or what do you do?
    Simply glueing a magnet to a flat surface doesn't seem to work for me. It gets sucked off by the reverse polarity magnet.

    • @toasthammer
      @toasthammer  5 місяців тому

      I use CA glue to fasten all of my magnets, haven't really had any issues with the magnetization pulling them off

    this wasent maybe, the most prepaired tutorial bro, it gets the jizzt, but maybe make another tutorial after you made like...2 more knights, iwe made 10 + because i am absolute knight collector, and like, you need to get the practice in before you do this, i just wanted to give you some positive feedback, sorry if this sounds rude i dident intend it to be

    • @toasthammer

      No offense taken! I personally like to display "how the sausage was made" for a couple of reasons. Since it was my first knight build, I was hoping to suggest that it's easier and less daunting than new builders may expect, and also the mistakes and errors I ran into might be common pain points, so by signaling that these issues may exist I hope that people watching can avoid them in their own builds!
      But hey if you've built 10+ knights you probably don't need a magnetization guide anyway 😂
