A fun one of the Rats their box enemy, remember that winged emperors son that was just killed? What did his sons look like? Second conversion, in order to turn them into Space Marines?
Classic Necromunda had an answer to this: Scavvys. They were a mutant gang that survived off of scavenging from the Underhive. Makes a kind of sense if a group turned into rats.
Makes sense, with all the chaos warp shenanigans going on during the siege of terror all your mutants would be fleeing the under hives. Heck there was so much warp shenanigans going on they could have actual rats that Chaos "elevated" to sentience. Either way, rat men aren't out of the scope of 40k and these wacky conversions are the kind of energy these lads need if they ever become a legit thing.
I did exactly that I used the flamer guys as shotguns, the long guns as auto guns and I just did a couple of hand swaps with auto pistols and stub pistols, and net guys and converted rat ogres with spear guns as scalies, the only mission they play is kidnap so they can get food 😂😂
As someone who does 'Cheesestealer Cults' in 40k which are mainly kitbashes and 3D prints, it was very welcome sight to see you were diving in to Skaven in 40k too!
"Let me just take a break from building two of the largest projects ever attempted in the history of the hobby to build AN ENTIRE KITBASHED ARMY." You really are an inspiration....and a madman...
Thank you Joe! I was definitely channelling my inner Ork for this one haha, very much the sane vibes it's why I couldn't resist that aircraft turret from the Ork flyer hahaha
You may call them skaven, but the inqusition will probably conclude they've found a mutant brood of ratlings, to be purged before their presence spreads.
Mortian has a line of "40k Skaven" and they're absolutely amazing. I don't dig the army enough to collect, but anyone who's into space rats should give 'em a look.
Those kitbashes are SIIIIICK! My favorite part of the video is the evidence that your mental crises of projects appears to be growing. Also, just gonna casually drop the information that Grimdark Future has SPAAAACE SKAAAAVEN!
I dont think we were the only people to do it, but our local GW back in the early 2000s when the plastic catachans came out, you mixed a box of them with a box of plastic skaven and got..... RATACHANS!!!!
My one note is that those solar auxilia rats need tails to really sell the illusion- though I'm sure thats easier said than done. Overall really great work, I love the creativity.
Space-Skaven is truly a growing phenomenon. These conversions look really fun, and look like they could be with some further tweaking made to look more steampunk-y to fit with fantasy-Skaven. In an old White Dwarf there was a Skaven tank conversion that looked a bit like this one.
Absolutely beautiful! Conversions to me are the best part of the hobby. It brings so much joy to really make an army your own and deck them out with little bits and peaces that match the vibe. Great job! Looking forward to see them painted and in action!
Awesome as always Lucky 🤘 Years ago I kitbashed some of the old clan rats with Kroot rifles which turned out pretty good for a mutant warband which also included all sorts of other kitbashed creatures such as the Beastmen from Blackstone Fortress as well as other Beastmen from AOS that had a particular characterful charm so that no two miniatures were duplicated in my Warband. I can’t wait for this batrep on ZorpHammer to come out so I can finally be inspired to take my Warband to the next level and make it a full fledged army 🤘
You are a total madman! Those Skaven look fantastic, very 80s cartoonesque. I love custom factions with so much lore and storytelling behind them, especially when that story telling comes out through the models
I have seen a whole bunch of these Skaven box videos recently but this... This was next level. Very impressed with how easy you make this look. Any time you feel like mixing it up a little with another juicy conversion project you have my vote!
Yay thank you so much Tim! I loooooooooooooooove armies full of completely converted models, probably my favourite part of the hobby I don't get to do it often enough.
awesome video! can't wait to see them painted. Maybe replace the shields on the skaven as wooden shields seem a bit out of place or maybe green stuff them to look more flat and more like the combat shields of the imperium. I think some guard, heavy weapon teams would be a simple but cool conversion too!
Seriously, considering you only have 150k subscribers, your channel is awesome! And your builds are so complex and extravagant, I'm seriously impressed!
A lot of conversions to build some classic Mantic Veer-Myn army... 😂 I'm always confused when I see some big hobby youtubers that seem to be focused so much on their single topic, that they do not know that they are basically reinventing the wheel when doing something "out of the box"...
Excellent video with incredible builds! This is exactly what I thought about when I saw the new Skaven models. Those tanks are seriously cool and I'm impressed how relatively small changes to the brutes' profiles bring them into the 31st/41st milleniums.
Love this!! 😆 This is exactly what OG Rogue Trader and the Slaves to Darkness books were all about! 😁 Getting absolutely captivated by a crazy mad-cap theme and converting every single mini to make them your own ☺️ Reminds me of the OG Black Crusade codex that GW released in the early 2000s. Gave players actual rules to run an entire army of muties/ the lost and the damned. Absolutely wild conversions for the muties in the White Dwarf Magazines back then Good times... cheers for making this vid and reminding us all what OG warhammer was all about 😊
i was always thinking of how skaven would fit into 40k. i had a idea of skaven who sneaked into a giant ship and hid in the airshafts and other small holes/ never entered places, where they bred and grew in size, they stole food weapons and other stuff and even let some groups board other ships on docking bays so they would expand in size. they eventually have the amount of numbers to take over some small ships and than attack the big one with attackrs from outside and a big horde from the inside who always lived there. they capture the ship and than target smaller ships to take them over. sometimes they attack a ship but leave it with the ditress signal on and hide some skaven inside the ship so they can board the ship that comes to it. and so expanding their terretory. some might even snuck out and nested on planets where they evantually attack it with all their might and take it completly over. they are like sneaky pirates that kinda act like xenomorphs nesting in ships hiding in the shadows stealing and slowly killing its crew.
That is the best thing about Games Workshop. The conversions are so much fun! They should have a sprue purchasing option so you can mix and match kits more easily. Great work!! Would love a bat rep with these guys.
Hobby Madness? HOBBY GENIUS I SAY! But seriously how awesome is that? I love the ramshackle vibe and all the details (how in the world are you going to paint all those details man?) - for the rules i'd love to see the rats represented kinda like the Skaven in Fantasy/AOS, as kniving, evil but very frightful little scamps that get their moral from mass and from staying the fck away from enemies (like the leaders having abilities that grant bonuses from the rear, rather then in the frontlines). These conversions are all so characterful and fun and i really envy this collection! I think the solar auxillia was the right choice as a base, they have the perfect vibe to their vehicles. I can't express enough how much this tickles my fancy, it combines all my favourite things: Skaven, cultists, conversions, homebrew rules and narrative play! Can't wait to see the paintjob - HYPE
The "Cult of the fang" kinda sounds like a Valka Fenryka successor chapter. Great conversions. Would love to see what the "Fangs" would do to a Land Raider. More conversions PLEASE!!!!
Oh yessssssssssss a Rat Landy would look so good. I was actually listening to 'A Thousand Sons', which features of lot of Vlka Fenryka screentime so that influenced me hahaha
😮😳😳😳😳 OHH HECK YES! As a long time Skaven player since the earlier Warhammer Fantasy editions (finally finished painting that collection this year! So happy) this was just a blast! Please more Imperial Palace! Would love to see more paint on foam!
Crazy idea
But how about using some of the McFarlane toys as massive Statues. 😅
Classic Necromunda had an answer to this: Scavvys. They were a mutant gang that survived off of scavenging from the Underhive. Makes a kind of sense if a group turned into rats.
Oooooooooooh yessssss I'd forgotten about those!!!! Good call mate.
I was about to say something like this... Abhumans or mutants. Just like the beastmen
Makes sense, with all the chaos warp shenanigans going on during the siege of terror all your mutants would be fleeing the under hives. I wish GW would release Scavvies as a Kill Team. Really emaciated and slender like zombies. Mismatched armor och weapons etc. Gods i would love that 😍

Keep going brother! This is amazing, seriously, I’m inspired!
Thank you! Will do Johnny! Thank you for the super chat!
As an ork player I adore a good conversion, that army is gonna look incredible
Thank you Joe! I was definitely channelling my inner Ork for this one haha, very much the sane vibes it's why I couldn't resist that aircraft turret from the Ork flyer hahaha
This series needs to be named 'Hobby Madness' and somehow find its way into your regular rotation with Gondor and the Imperial Palace
You may call them skaven, but the inqusition will probably conclude they've found a mutant brood of ratlings, to be purged before their presence spreads.
A skaven in power armour? I bet it’s gun sounds like, Rat a Tat Rat when it’s fired.
Take my upvote, you fiend.
I feel like culturally these guys would shove every rat pun possible into everything? General agreement: "ratified"
*Pained groaning*

Some may call it hobby madness, I call it some of the best hobby energy on youtube
this video reminds me of the meme "I'm going to need 2 bolters for this heresy" 🤣
Hahahahahahaha yesssssssssssssss that is absolutely the energy
Brother get the flamer
The *heavy* flamer.
Yes-yes, the Cult of the Fang have unlocked a technology that has long evaded the Mechanicus - armouring the back of the Leman Russ!

The skaven did it for me; time to become a Patron. Awesome builds!
I love this! I've always wanted the rat clan in 40k. I've always thought about doing an Orc army but replace them with rats
I'm not a fan of Age of Sigmar, but I could get on board with building an army like this! Amazing!!
Thank you Jaden! Yeah one of my favourite things is usually models for a totally unintended use haha! Thanks for the ongoing support mate 😊
Live to see a Tank powered by a mouse wheel.
This conversion is insane. Madness. Heresy! I love it. I could see some Skaven conversions making a great Blooded Kill Team.
Or genestealers...
Holy Horned Rat this is awesome!
Love to see the work on the small models, nice counterpoint to the HUMONGOUS board :)
Yeah that was my thinking too!! Would love to do the odd video here and there focussing on the forces as we build up to the big siege :)
Love it, total madness, cant wait to see them eith paint abd getting purged from the ruins of Terra 🙂
Absolutely beautiful! Conversions to me are the best part of the hobby. It brings so much joy to really make an army your own and deck them out with little bits and peaces that match the vibe. Great job! Looking forward to see them painted and in action!

Excellent video with incredible builds! This is exactly what I thought about when I saw the new Skaven models. Those tanks are seriously cool and I'm impressed how relatively small changes to the brutes' profiles bring them into the 31st/41st milleniums.
When GW keeps trying to get you into Stormcast, but you literally throw them away to get to the ratty goodness, yes-yes.
Its okay, I plan to throw away the rattos when I get the box too. Everyone has favorites.
This is incredible. I have dreamed of a 40Kish Skaven army for years. Looks amazing! So cool. Can't wait to see more.
One of the best warhammer channels out there. Cheers for keeping in up and making such cool content. Cant wait to see the imperial palace finished up.
Part 2 please! This is a very creative conversion, and I love the story behind it too!
Simply lovely to see you take something and turn in into something completely fifferent through sheer creativity :)
These turned out great! I loved the Russ conversion. I'm both excited and terrified to see them in the narrative campaign in the future!
Love em. On board for a painting video.
This army project looks amazing, can hardly wait to see them all painted up and in a battle report!
This was great! Fantastic change of pace from the board megabuilds and your conversions are awesome!
Thanks a lot Jimmy! Glad you liked them :)
This was very cool, would love it if you made more or even other gang conversion
this is gonna be such a cool project to watch unfold, this is the stuff I love to see people make
Those look amazing. Such a great idea for a conversion. Good work. Thanks for sharing!
Man what a great idea. As only a LOTR nerd i didnt even realise there was no skaven in 40k. But what a fun theme and set up it looks
Amazing conversion! Love to see this kind of creativity and excitement for the hobby... really makes me want to jump back in

You just knew when he smashed the Skaventide box down on the table that he'd had some crazy and ingenious new idea for a megabuild!
This was amazing!! Seeing conversions like this is always very inspiring to go and be creative with my own models!
Awesome. I missed these mini conversion videos, and had little expectation of them returning. Bubble-canopy-turret for the big win
That is the best thing about Games Workshop. The conversions are so much fun! They should have a sprue purchasing option so you can mix and match kits more easily. Great work!! Would love a bat rep with these guys.

Brilliant idea 💡 I absolutely love the Rat-nought! The Tank as well, I didn't know that this is what I wanted but now I do!
100% sold on those Skaven conversions. I liked the Skaven to start with, but this is a dream I have yet to have. Thank you for making this.

It's really surprising that they've never made a 40k version of the Skaven. They are the most unique thing in the warhammer IP as a whole, so you'd think that they'd be in all the universes, especially as they are creatures of chaos and the warp touches all realms!
It brings me such joy to see Zorp going strong still.
Blood Ravens and Orkz both weeping like proud parents at another kindred spirit that just gets the idea of pilfering other people's stuff.
Love this, I love converted armies so very much
for the dreadnaught you could have used the whole warpstone powered contraptions idea by adding some crystalline structures around where the usual exhausts are
