I guess this is obvious to someone when wants to upgrade from an APS-C camera, but all of your APS-C lenses still work just like before. Also, the rolling shutter is way lower than the a6xxx cameras in 4K. Plus, you get 10bit 422. I mean you basically get a really nice APS-C camera with 10bit and low rolling shutter. The A7Siii cannot do this. You need to go all the way up to the A1 or the FS7 Cinema camera! Plus, you still have the option of great FF video plus 33M Pixel stills. At any rate, I bought one since it fixes everything that was wrong with my a6500 plus a lot more.
Do you guys think that they can add the fullframe 4k60 in the future through firmware or that's not possible to do? I believe the only reason they didn't add this is because this camera would be "too perfect" for the price and there wouldn't be a reason to pay for a few of the more expensive ones.

I have the mark I, it's still an amazing camera for photography! Video not so much, but it's not terrible either. Got it couple of years ago for under a grand new with the kit lens included. So if you don't quite have the budget for this, looking at the older models might be something to consider.

Eventually I'll probably wind up with an A7IV as a B-Cam to the FX3, but I've promised myself "no major camera or lens purchases in 2022". Plus it seems to be having production challenges and isn't easy to find currently. The A6600 and A7iii are fine for now as B-Cams even though I'd love to have 10 bit 4:2:2 and S-Cinetone in them. Maybe once my youtube channel is generating proper revenue I can justify it.
I got the a73 n now looking at Sean’s videos about em I didn’t need this expensive camera I could’ve got sun cheaper!🤦🏾♀️😒 alllso i don’t know what setting to put on the a73 because I don’t know what none of em mean but I have so many video ideas it’s just hard to make sure the settings are correct n not out of focus … any tips , tricks, advice???? Thank u

Hay. I'm having a video file issue with the Sony A7IV. Only some of the video clips some up when I plug my SD card into my laptop. The XAVC HS 4K clips can be seen and played. The XAVC S-I HD clips do not show up. I'm using a prograde V-90 card. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change? Thanks. (another annoying thing is that the RAW files can't be viewed on my MacBook. I have to unload them into Lightroom to be able see them)
do you really not need to overexpose for slog 3? it also shoots 120fps in 10 bit on S&Q mode HD I have zve10 and had the 6600, this one is so so amazing I can feel the diference specially in the stabilization, if you want to upgrade do it, it feels so nice, I have som aps c lenses and they look amazing on the camera
I'm really thinking about getting the Sony A7iv. The only thing holding me back is I keep hearing that this camera has an overheating issue. I want to use it for long form videos and live streaming. Have you had any issues with it overheating or do you know someone who has had issues with it?
*What Tripods (for desk videos and vlogging) would you recommend for the A7IV?* I like the sleekness and stability of the peak design but it’s so expensive. I’m unsure whether I’ll have space on my desk for a handheld tripod to sit at eye-level, or whether I would be better going for a normal sized tripod that stands behind my desk.
Im new to cameras and my channel is urban exploring and paranormal investigations. I am trying to figure out the best camera in my budget that would be best for exploring haunted abandoned places and being able to capture something paranormal. A lot of these places have long hallways large rooms ( hospitals, insane asylums, hotels ) . very low light situations for the most part. I know this camera will do great for cinematics B-roll. Just wondering if you think this would work well in an exploring situation. Ive been using the gopro 8 as a starter setup for over a year and its done its job but its time for a big boy setup that can survive urban exploration in rough conditions. Also have no idea what lense would work well. id like to be able to zoom in down those long dark hallways and also focus on old newspapers and stuff i find in these old places. This will be my upgrade camera from the zv1. What zoom lens do you use for vlogging, heard you mention a zoom. I was thinking a 20mm prime unless better choice having the zoom ??
Great video, thank you. I am lucky enough to have the Sony a1, but I am looking for a B cam for many scenarios and I am considering the A7IV. The concern I have with the rolling shutter issues is, I shoot a lot of kids dance concerts. A question for you: If I had the A7IV locked off on a tripod for the wide shot to capture the whole stage (so the kids would be fairly small), so you think it would be an issue? The kids would be moving through the frame quickly, but I am not sure that at a distance the rolling shutter would be an issue. I’d appreciate your views. (Oh, I’d be shooting in either 24 or 30frames 4K). Thanks so much. ✌️
Rolling shutter is an effect that you only see when whip panning left and right or when filming spinning propellers or something similar. You won’t see any if that in your case.
Hey Nolan, awesome video! I plan on getting the Sony A7 IV for mainly videos to begin making UA-cam videos and photography for fun. A little torn between the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM lens or the Tamron 35-150mm after watching Omar's review. What do you think? Don't want to get the Sony FE 24-70mm if the Tamron 35-150mm is the newer better lens.
Hello, I’m looking for a camera that can be used a good all round camera for mainly videography and vlogging but also for photography. It will be my first major purchase of a camera and the zv e-10 looks like the best pick but with production issues I can’t see myself being able to get my hands on one anytime soon. Although it’s a big price difference would you say the a7iv would be a good camera for starting a business and using it for travel content?
Hi, Is there any quality drop off when using apsc lens on full frame for video? I know the megapixel drops when shooting photos but not sure if its the same for video
I’ll stick to my A7S3, which is an excellent photo camera, and the best video camera. If I was going to get a more photo specific camera I would look at the A7RIV, not the A7IV.

They could but they wont.
Or you could just buy a wider lense to compensate.
Got the Sony ZV-E10, it's so good, don't think I'm going to need to upgrade it ever (until it breaks!)

I wouldn’t expect the a7siii to have apsc crop mode because it’s only 12mp, how much quality would you Get once cropped down to 6 megapixels

Watch Jason Vong’s video, and you will probably get a clearer picture. I would recommend Tamron 28-75mm f1.8 g2 as your first lens

Got mine and did a detailed comparison to the SonyA7III on my channel. The specs definitely don’t tell the whole story with the A7IV.

Aren't people annoyed to buy a full frame and not having that full frame look when at 4k 60?

This luxury costs a thousand dollars more and 21 megapixels less, just use a lens with a shorter focal length and lose a little DOF, it's not so pain.
Note to buyers: This thing overheats and has big issues when shooting in 4k 60 on top of the 1.5x crop. You've been warned.
When I switch it to intelligence auto mode, I can run 4k 60 422 10 bit without any overheating for 2 hours
