@@adammohdkhairuddin1749 The A7III is a fabulous camera! This yearly update of cameras is very new (last 3-4 years). The leaps forward in tech do not merit a yearly upgrade, in my opinion. Marketing makes people feel like their 4-figure investment from 12 months ago is suddenly obsolete because the company made a few minor upgrades. The A7IV looks awesome if you're just getting into the market and have the budget, but it's not worth dumping the prior iteration over. I get selling a device and reinvesting, and if someone wants to go through that hassle and can really use the new features to increase their workflow, it's the right move. But, I see so many amateurs wanting to be the next GU, MKBHD, Casey Neistat etc. that think they need to have the latest and greatest, just to post videos with terrible WB, lighting, audio etc. I honestly think people can look at upgrading a camera every few years and keep up just fine on video... Photography, you can use your gear even longer.
I love the fact that you kept in mind where people might be coming from. Either a second B-cam for A7SIII users or an upgrade for A7III users. Great job.
@@alexalbert6268 Yeah haha well I thought he did a good job, I feel like comparing with the step above and below is enough to help give this camera perspective. Going back to the mk 1 is a bit far at this point in my opinion haha But I understand what you’re saying
From my point of view, I didn't expect it to be perfect, I just wished for 4k60p at full flame... Well. It's a huge compromise and it changed my state from "take my money!" to "worth consider buying" 😬
@@artemisfowl9002 when the quality of the 1080p footage is good, however a lot of Sony's hybrid cameras don't have very good quality 1080 recording. Even this camera has fairly poor 1080p in full frame, only doing full downscaling when you're in the APS-C crop mode.
Thanks for the review, Gerald. This, is the A7 that I'm gonna be skipping. Looking forward to see if the a7V is the one that will be replacing my current A7III.
Yeah, it's strange but my GAS somehow doesn't kick in this time. I got a feeeling that it's not that much better than my old a7iii. Maybe A7RV will be what Im waiting for.
@@soyluisvalenzuela it is also a rip-off in the UK with Sony basically taking advantage of anyone outside the USA. They've failed to blow away the competition like they had done with the a7 iii, it's a good camera but not game changing in any way.
Wow! Rolling shutter aside, sounds great. 4K60 crop not a biggie for me, and animal eye focus, low light performance, colour improvement & active stabilisation great features to someone invested in Sony infrastructure. I came to you first knowing that there will be A LOT of reviews for this camera, but heartening to know how well you rate it (so far). Thanks Gerald!
Variable shutter, yayyy! But awful rolling shutter is a no go. And what the heck is the deal with Sony boasting about the USB speed and then having 4K over USB max out at 15 fps??
Fantastic as usual Gerald - loved the photographer segment , only wish for some practical real world use Dynamic Range + ISO comparison shots ( ie your garage shot / interior+window etc + night shots ) to throw in the mix - but understand your time was limited! Keep powering on :)
Great review as always! Side note; the issue with the inbody screen turning off when exporting to a separate monitor has been fixed. You have to fidget with the setup menu and go to External Output and adjust the HDMI Info. Display option, once toggled, it should allow for both the camera screen and your external monitor to remain on.
@@Chris-ey7zy As a GH5 and A7SIII user (the latter is not mine that is why I'm looking for the A7IV) I always film in 4k50. I film for client stuff and most of the times I slow down the videos.
I’m coming from the A7iii and let me tell you, this camera is a BIG upgrade. Overall better camera and I absolutely LOVE the fact that I do have a lot of the flagship features for a fraction of the price. Great middle ground camera and almost perfect hybrid camera! I can’t wait to start diving deep with this camera,
5FPS Uncompressed Raw = Awful for Speed/Sport That Rolling Shutter +1.5 Crop = Awful for video Sony Made Amazing Camera but decided to gimp it on purpose it has super fast Card slot and their best processor but decided to limit the FPS to 5Fps when using uncompressed Raw and 10 with compressed lossy Raw (Canon doing 20FPS compressed/12 Uncompressed at 2500$ for 18 months old Camera)
not sure if they gimped it on purpose but they certainly knew of the drawbacks of increasing the sensor resolution and still chose to do it regardless, even though many (if not most maybe) current a7iii users would have been fine with keeping the 24mp resolution and getting more out of it (uncropped 4K@60, 10fps uncompressed etc) rather than less out of a 33mp sensor.
You're not making it easy to stick with my A7 III.... but that's still new enough to me that I still don't think I can justify the upgrade. Perhaps when the A7 V comes out. Nice review, thanks.
Just watched 4 other reviews and three of them mentioned you and the other found the dual gain switch on the a7iv you first alerted people to in the a7siii video. Pretty cool how you've impacted the field.
I came from the Jason Vong vid, allready with geralds vid in the list. Too funny Jason mentioned to watch geralds vid for more in depth technical infos ;)
I really wish they just kept the 24mp sensor and improved the rolling shutter and had 4k 60p with no crop and maybe even a 6k 30p mode would have been nice The resolution bump was unnecessary for a hybrid camera in my opinion
I have to agree. The 33mp sounded nice before I heard about the rolling shutter. I guess Sony figured that it was necesarry to make the upgrades pretty even between stills and video to attract a wider group but tbh 24mp is still just fine for 99% of the people but it's eaiser to market 33mp than rolling shutter so..
I personally don't care much about video. I want this camera for stills, so the increase to 33 MP is a big benefit for me. A faster burst rate would have been nice, but the truth is that I rarely use continuous bursts anyway. The only real mis-step for me is the low resolution rear LCD, which is pathetic compared to the competition. I hope that it at least has good brightness and contrast. I pre-ordered as soon as I could.
Thorough and concise as usual. Thanks Gerald. I think the A7Siii's relatively weak noise performance between the commonly used 3200 and 6400 ISO range is what might sell a few of these A7IV's. Although it has its own weaknesses (overheating obviously one of them), the Canon R6 might arguably be a better option for short clips of full frame 4K60 in moderately low light. You've gotta appreciate what Sony is doing overall though.
This is about what I expected. Bummer that the 4K60 mode is cropped to APS-C, but as someone who runs an A7S III as my main camera and is looking for a suitable B-Cam to replace my last remaining A6300, this is a perfect solution. It gets me the features I need, excellent video quality, and has more of a photo emphasis for when I take on the occasional stills project. I plan to order one once available.
Nikon user (D5 / D500) and mainly do photography. From my perspective, this camera is awesome because it has the Sony A1 AF system. For photographing wildlife and action (running dogs!) this would be perfect. I love the 33mp for extra cropping. As for video, it blows my DSLRs out of the water. Right now I use a ZV-1 and smartphone for video, so this would be a big upgrade. It's something that might make me switch from Nikon. This is especially true now that they have a great 70-200, a workhorse for my type of photography. Still love what I have, so in no hurry.
i got the feeling, that its a truely better cam than the A7-III , but to be honest: In Comparision to the 2-year old Lumix S1, its not such a big step i expected to be.
Hi Geralt, one thing that I miss dearly in these Sony Cameras is the vertical recording format in the video files. I have to flip each clip manually in post, which is super time consuming. Why is this important? Because video and filmmaking shifts heavily into vertical formats. I hope Sony considers this in the future. Thank you for a great review! Im super impressed with the new active stabilisation, the one thing I dearly missed on the a7iii.
They should do that of course. But you can also flip one, and copy attributes of that one to hundreds of others, not go manually one by one, that is crazy.
Gerald.. to me, you seem to be the most knowledgeable expert on the topic of camera tech on UA-cam. Always so impressed with your camera reviews and your confident delivery. I would love to see some of your productions if you have any demonstrating your cinematography skill, other than your UA-cam videos of course. 😊 curious more so on passion projects if you have any completed or in the works. Congrats on the growth and continued growth of the channel. Curious too what’s your go-to cinema camera these days?
So basically, if you have been thinking about getting the a7iii but we're slow to react.... You'll probably find the a7iii a pinch cheaper after today. However, if you're like most, the next new shiny thing might win you over if you're sure an upgrade.
Absolutely love this review and exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks Gerald for another honest and transparent review of a camera. This gives me a lot to think about and it just might make me switch my photography gear from Nikon to Sony so I can consolidate all my gear under one brand.
@@AmritaBhortake Still a no. They haven't fixed the JPG's blue's shifting to purple. ACR default rendering in LR is just awful. More of Adobe's fault, but still. HIF format is neat, but needs conversion with Sony's software, at least for a few weeks or months. Animal and eye tracking is VERY nice though. It surprisingly doesn't support CFE cards which I already have, and overlooked. Just not as comfy as a Nikon or Canon in hand. I really like how customizable it is. Nearly every button on the back can be remapped. I'd miss the two front buttons Nikon has. The 20f1.8G, 24-105G, and 70-180tamron lenses were great on it; too bad! Reviewing gallery samples and others it seems to underexpose quite a bit. The mode dial doesn't lock or click into place. the fonts and icons are too small. Nikon puts a larger border on their text so you can see text with light backgrounds. I'm guess just not a Sony person.
@@skyrunr Aww that's a bummer. I use the A6400 for video and honestly, really love it. The workflow on it is so much easier than my D810. I need to test out the A7IV though. Thanks so much for sharing your experience.
@@AmritaBhortake this might be a bit late, but considering the chip shortage and the long delivery times, maybe not. I came to the A7IV from the A6600, and I must say I'm absolutely amazed. Its everything I love about Sony(autofocus/colour/codec) but better. I think Gerald covered it all in this video. And if you haven't bought this yet, I definitely can suggest you go for it.
I'm kinda happy now that I switched to Canon from Fuji instead of Sony. The R6 would've been the perfect camera for me if it had the video, stills switch, or the possibility to remember different video settings on the c1-c3 buttons. Great in-depth review of the a7IV.
Man I love this camera. Can’t recommend it enough for most hybrid situations. I have had it overheat during longer outdoor shoots during bright sunny days. For that reason I’m looking to pickup a FX3 at some point for strictly video use but for photos and a B cam it does fantastic especially with 10 bit SLog footage. Just wish it had RAW via an Atmos
I’m looking to upgrade from my a7iii but have been hesitate due to the many overheating complaints I’ve heard. Ideally I’d eventually use this in conjunction with an fx3 where it would be more of a b cam. How has the overheating been in your experience?
Such an amazing review! It's a testament that other UA-cam camera reviewers are referring us to Gerald in their reviews for the "in the weeds" details many of us appreciate.. And rightfully so. Nobody else comes close to the density of valuable content--and the pace it comes at you! LOL Gerald clearly values the intelligence of his viewers. One quibble: I think the Focus Map feature got glossed over here. It has the potential to be more useful than Gerald gives it credit, from what I've seen in other videos. I really would appreciate an "Undone" take on it.
We love you Gerald, i appreaciate your research that goes into these new cameras, this is why Sony have sent you it, you defo know what your talking about, thanks for sharing your reviews, been a massive fan of your channel for a while now.
Bro, Gerald Undone is the photography reviewers, photography reviewer. Videos are always packed with valuable information and always on point. I'm glad that your channel is getting the recognition it deserves. I remember watching your old videos and just wondering "how in the world is this guy not viral"?
Do we think the Variable Shutter will come as a Firmware upgrade now to the A7siii and FX3. For me as an event shooter that's a feature I have been requesting for ages- it would be weird if the A7IV and A1 get this but not the A7siii/FX3. I'm hoping it's just a software update and not due to any hardware limitations in the A7siii sensor.
Great review Gerald, thanks... "That's not a flex..." That had me rolling. I have the Z6ii I bought as a stop-gap till the A7IV dropped... BUT, I'm loving it. Surprised Sony left the Rear LCD at 1mil. Amazing camera, great to have such great choices.
Awesome review dude - precisely what I was hoping you were going to say. Particularly about the summary at the end on A1, which I don't REALLY need but I was thinking would be good in terms of future proofing. This gives the right balance 🌞
I was about to pull the trigger on the a7siii and then came across this review. You’ve changed my mind Gerald, thank you so much for the detailed and quality reviews man!
The rolling shutter is what is making me second guess upgrading from my a9 to this. I moved from the a7iii specifically because of the sensor scan rate on silent shooting for reportage, and it doesn't look like the a7iv really fixes that...
I currently own the A7III and mostly use it for video. I've always found the quality in HD (1080) mode to be poor, so I never use that option, although occaisionally it would be useful. Have you looked at the image quality of the A7IV in HD?
@@leandros_ab Yes, thats what I always did for that reason! I now own the A7IV and actually I still haven't tested the 1080 mode. I always just shoot in 4k, the moment has probably now passed for shooting 1080 ;-)
It will be interesting to see how the A7IV does after the initial release. I was on the verge of trading in my A7RIII & A7III to buy the A7IV, but the Super-35 on the 4K 60pfs was a deal breaker for me. I was OK with arguably trading down on resolution from 42mps to 33mps, but having to consider the day to day impact of 1.5x cropping on the video mode (i.e. APS-C lenses or having to recompose between video and still) was a step too far for me. May wait for the A1 to come down in price over the next year or two.
You're the best reviewer because you actually explain how we are going to use the item and the pros, cons of the item compared to other solutions on the market. In contrast to other reviewers trying to churn through reviews. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
After swearing off Sony for 3 years, the price/feature/quality combination of the A7IV was too much to resist, and boy, am I pleased with it...even the colors. I only shoot video and I find the AF and video features to be amazing. Before I have been using the Fuji and Panasonic cameras--wonderful cameras, amazing in their own right. But, personally, I think if they understood how freeing great AF actually is for a user's creativity and imagination they would move heaven and earth to perfect the AF features in their cameras--which are, otherwise, wonderful. Your review actually sold the A7iv to me. Do something fun but not fattening with your commission. IMO Well deserved, and on point!!! And you're absolutely right. Sitting on sticks the IQ is unbeatable.
I feel like this release is ok, but still a missed opportunity from Sony to offer significant value over the main competition (R6, Z6) on the scale the A7III did. Assessing the current market, I think a lot of people would choose the R6 specifically over this offering.
It depends, I'm already with Sony so it's easier to switch to another Sony camera. It's not like Sony needs that much to get Canon clients, they have already quite a few ...
Another great video, Gerald. With respect to the rolling shutter, can you use the 4K 24p in APSC mode? Also, if yes, does the focus breathing feature work in APSC recording? I was just thinking that with a wider lens, and being ‘okay’ to use it in super 35/APSC mode, it might mitigate the rolling shutter enough for this to be a worthy purchase. Thanks again.
Not sure about the breathing comp feature, but you can shoot every video mode in the APS-C crop as well and the rolling shutter is very good for a hybrid camera at only 13ms.
Did the focus breathing software correction fixed the issue with your 35Mm 1.4 GM in your studio shot scenario? Would be cool if you can show us examples in the upcoming videos!
I just preordered mine. Besides the rolling shutter, do you think the 4K 24p image of the A7iv holds up to the the A7siii? I’m coming from the 6500 so I guess it doesn’t really matter 😂
Great review as always Gerald. Loved the “try setting the play back speed to 75%” at the end. I get a ton of comments on how quickly I explain things in my tutorials
Something I would also like to see in the final version is the option in the menu on when to see the focus peaking. So you can set it to manual only, all the time, or off.
Great review! So glad to see Sony finally introducing the synchro scan style shutter speed incremental changes to deal with challenging lighting flicker. Wish they could put this as a firmware update to the A7S3. Overall the A74 looks to be a very good multipurpose camera and a worthy upgrade for an A73 owner.
Thank you for another great review. I have been back and forth between this and a second A7siii for my B cam. I pulled the trigger on this one. Based on your review, they'll match up great and should compliment each other's strengths and weaknesses.
Nice review! I gotta quick question, If you had a 0.71 speed booster on the a7IV whilst recording at 4k 60 with its 1.5 sensor crop then it would become a 0.71*1.5 = 1.065 crop, so essentially a 6.5% crop which would make a 50mm lens a 53.35mm lens therefore almost cancelling out the crop so you can fit more image onto the sensor. Idk if I'm correct in saying this though as I only started researching about crop factor since everyone kept on bringing it up lol. Here's a link that explains what I'm trying to say a bit more better ua-cam.com/video/UNpn_nn1HLM/v-deo.html I think it would be cool to see an experiment video where you use a speed booster to see if there is any big crop :)
sold my III a few months ago to try and get top dollar for it before the value comes down because of the IV... and I will be buying the IV next month. Can't wait!
To all Sony A7SIII & FX3 users! Can we all make some noise to pressure Sony to give us the focus breathing compensation feature in a firmware update? By "noise" I mean, posting about this in Sony Alpha forums, websites, UA-cam videos and more. By and large this is the single most important feature we should request and there's little reason why Sony shouldn't give it to us. The argument that it would be in conflict with sales of the Sony A7IV is wrong because the A7IV is more a of a prosumer camera than the A7SIII and FX3. The FX6 received this update and it shares the same sensor with the A7SIII/FX3 so this update is entirely doable! :D Maybe someone could start an online petition? Also, one of the main reasons why many A7SIII/FX3 filmmaker users are less inclined to buy GM Primes is because of the terrible focus breathing in video. If you give us this update it's a win-win situation. You'll sell more GM lenses! SONY PLEASE, GIVE US A7SIII/FX3 USERS SOME LOVE. WE BEG YOU, GIVE US THIS FEATURE. PLEASE :)
On the older models you can bring the battery indicator back by triggering the viewfinder briefly (holding a finger close to its sensor). When it switches back to display the indicator shows up for a few seconds again.

I don't even watch sony's reveal stream, I just go straight to Gerald
I love the fact that you kept in mind where people might be coming from. Either a second B-cam for A7SIII users or an upgrade for A7III users.
Great job.
He could have push that even further :p. I'm coming from a a7 mk1. Huge step but not so far away (bought in 2014)
@@alexalbert6268 Yeah haha well I thought he did a good job, I feel like comparing with the step above and below is enough to help give this camera perspective.
Going back to the mk 1 is a bit far at this point in my opinion haha But I understand what you’re saying
@@migbeauregard164 for sure :p
From my point of view, I didn't expect it to be perfect, I just wished for 4k60p at full flame... Well. It's a huge compromise and it changed my state from "take my money!" to "worth consider buying" 😬
If you want a full flame, cushion it and close the screen while recording. Done.
@@marcinmrzyglocki haha 😅

@@artemisfowl9002 when the quality of the 1080p footage is good, however a lot of Sony's hybrid cameras don't have very good quality 1080 recording. Even this camera has fairly poor 1080p in full frame, only doing full downscaling when you're in the APS-C crop mode.
Gerald should have tested the animal eye AF on himself as he is a Beast :). Good review!
If this isn’t the first a7 IV review you’re watching, you’re doing it wrong 😛
Well, there was another one that many probably viewed, but only because it was accidentally published too early... ^^

Second review, but the most meaningful.
Gerald and Philip Bloom are a must. The rest don't really matter to me at all
Yes, right !
Gerald's review is my 1st choice, always
Thanks for the review, Gerald. This, is the A7 that I'm gonna be skipping. Looking forward to see if the a7V is the one that will be replacing my current A7III.
Yeah, it's strange but my GAS somehow doesn't kick in this time. I got a feeeling that it's not that much better than my old a7iii. Maybe A7RV will be what Im waiting for.
@@reallukx I was ready to ditch my Lumix S1 for this but...mmm strangely my Lumix does it better than this one in every aspect but video AF.
Not that inspiring a camera and over priced for what it is (especially in Australia)
@@stephenbrowne7598 I'm with you
@@soyluisvalenzuela it is also a rip-off in the UK with Sony basically taking advantage of anyone outside the USA.
How a star reviewer is not aware of that? I am disappointed and don't trust what he says any more :(
The focus breathing fix is the best part of this camera for me. I bought 35GM and I would love to see what this A7IV can do with it.
If you film in 4k60 it is gonna turn your 35mm into a 50mm, that's a stupid move from Sony!
@@RomeoWarden then don’t put it in that mode
@@Chris-ey7zy As a GH5 and A7SIII user (the latter is not mine that is why I'm looking for the A7IV) I always film in 4k50.

didn't you receive a pre-production unit as well? where is your review?
I’m coming from the A7iii and let me tell you, this camera is a BIG upgrade. Overall better camera and I absolutely LOVE the fact that I do have a lot of the flagship features for a fraction of the price. Great middle ground camera and almost perfect hybrid camera! I can’t wait to start diving deep with this camera,
5FPS Uncompressed Raw = Awful for Speed/Sport
That Rolling Shutter +1.5 Crop = Awful for video
Sony Made Amazing Camera but decided to gimp it on purpose
it has super fast Card slot and their best processor but decided to limit the FPS to 5Fps when using uncompressed Raw and 10 with compressed lossy Raw (Canon doing 20FPS compressed/12 Uncompressed at 2500$ for 18 months old Camera)
not sure if they gimped it on purpose but they certainly knew of the drawbacks of increasing the sensor resolution and still chose to do it regardless, even though many (if not most maybe) current a7iii users would have been fine with keeping the 24mp resolution and getting more out of it (uncropped 4K@60, 10fps uncompressed etc) rather than less out of a 33mp sensor.
@@Sacrypheyes exactly. I value the 10fps with uncompressed RAW of my A7III. I like the 4k 60p, but I think I'll be sticking to my A7III for now.
@@esgee3829 yeah my a9ii has it. Weird that didn't trickle down

Yeah I was the same. I watched Matti Haapoja's video to find Gerald's channel.
I really wish they just kept the 24mp sensor and improved the rolling shutter and had 4k 60p with no crop and maybe even a 6k 30p mode would have been nice
The resolution bump was unnecessary for a hybrid camera in my opinion
If this gets 100 likes I will switch to Sony.
Lets gooooooo!
You sit on a throne of lies.
Ok. This is defo reaching 100 likes
This is one of those crys for help I heard about.
Ehm. Okay…?
The only thing that overheats is my brain from paying close attention to Gerald's reviews
Always the most insightful technical review while avoiding any fluff. Thank you again!
Can't tell you how long I've been waiting for this camera. And, to have Gerald's video be the first one to see is just the icing on the cake!
I might be dreaming, but I’d love to see the customizable exposure dial and shutter-sensor-covering added to the a7S3 in a firmware update
Hey would you recommend this for a beginner? Trying to buy my first camera for content on UA-cam and some photography
Monumental video yet again Gerald!
Love what Sony has done with the A7IV but for my use case the A7SIII will remain as my workhorse.👌🏻
I agree...but all cameras are pretty amazing these days. Hard to top each other.
Exactly what I was thinking
Love Panasonic too but their autofocus always disappoints! Chose the a7Siii instead....
@@Pfagnan Not really. It's not as amazing as Sony, but honestly that's the least important.
@@chadstarbucks5719 He is a sony fanboy, literally all his sony reviews are glowingly positive.
Did you switch? I got sick of waiting for fw 2.x for the II's. I'm trying the A7IV tomorrow. ;)
@@skyrunr Nice! Let me know what you think. I am planning to order it and waiting for it to come back in stock.

I'm kinda happy now that I switched to Canon from Fuji instead of Sony. The R6 would've been the perfect camera for me if it had the video, stills switch, or the possibility to remember different video settings on the c1-c3 buttons. Great in-depth review of the a7IV.

Gerald as a working pro, i'm only watching your vids - straight to the point. Great job.

In the alternate universe I hope you get to keep the wooden furniture. I feel like you probably earned it.
The rolling shutter is what is making me second guess upgrading from my a9 to this. I moved from the a7iii specifically because of the sensor scan rate on silent shooting for reportage, and it doesn't look like the a7iv really fixes that...
Well it's a good thing it was never meant to compete with the A9. This is an entry level camera, part of the lowest end full frame line Sony makes.
I currently own the A7III and mostly use it for video.
I've always found the quality in HD (1080) mode to be poor, so I never use that option, although occaisionally it would be useful.
Have you looked at the image quality of the A7IV in HD?
Did you have any feedback ?
Then shoot in 4K and downsample to 1080p, which gives you a much clearer image
@@leandros_ab Yes, thats what I always did for that reason! I now own the A7IV and actually I still haven't tested the 1080 mode. I always just shoot in 4k, the moment has probably now passed for shooting 1080 ;-)

I own a A7IV now and I can tell you the quality in HD 1080P is really good, nothing to see with A7III
What a review. The number 1 channel for amazing reviewing. Excellent work 👏
It will be interesting to see how the A7IV does after the initial release.
So close, 4k 60 crop and for 4k 120 is a deal breaker... keep saving for the FX3 I guess
Your script and timestamps are perfect. Very helpful content!
“…if you need good autofocus & shoot on a tripod…” I think that info locked in my decision to purchase this as my 2nd cam for wedding videography.
Did the focus breathing software correction fixed the issue with your 35Mm 1.4 GM in your studio shot scenario?
Would be cool if you can show us examples in the upcoming videos!
Yes, perfectly, but you have to back up the camera a bit. It's closer to 40mm with it on.
what a fantastic review. I love the simple, no bs tone of it.
I just preordered mine. Besides the rolling shutter, do you think the 4K 24p image of the A7iv holds up to the the A7siii? I’m coming from the 6500 so I guess it doesn’t really matter 😂
Kindly pass down the 6500 to me please. I badly need a camera and can't afford one at the moment. Thanks in advance
@@pontianekakoro1737 that’s now how this works 😂.
Great review as always Gerald. Loved the “try setting the play back speed to 75%” at the end. I get a ton of comments on how quickly I explain things in my tutorials
4k60p Crop a BIG deal breaker
Something I would also like to see in the final version is the option in the menu on when to see the focus peaking. So you can set it to manual only, all the time, or off.
Agreed.
Always come here first when new tech launches... I don't understand why any thinking person wouldn't do the same! Thanks Mr. Undone!

Maybe someone could start an online petition?
