A half hour is a completely PERFECT length. I'd def watch longer videos from you too! I feel like when a video is 10-20 min long I always want a bit more.
I agree. I have a short attention span but I like videos that are long as long as it’s packed with information. Or I can listen to it while doing stuff.
Dear Noah, thank you for reviewing our apartment. A source of great inspiration. You've guessed it right about the missing information as well, of course, you have the sense. Can't wait to do this project! All the best wishes with your new place
I love when you not just say what would do better, but *why* a certain item might do better, which lets me sort of figure out if a principle or idea can apply to my own home. Even better, I like when you explain when a principle may *not* work as well as it usually would
The furnace in the photos is a "Masonry heater" (I would call it a Kaljeva peć) We had 4 of such heaters in our 1910's Belgrade apartment. You can burn just about anything in it - wood, charcoal , pellets... quite versatile. We also had electric heaters, but the amount of heat emanating from the Kaljeva peć was 10/10. Since adding central heating, we took out 3 of the 4 as they were somewhat in the way. As they are placed on the inner walls of the apartment (centrally for optimal heating), it limits the options for layouts.
this could’ve been two hours long and i would have watched every minute of it! definitely provided a lot of inspiration for my new space i’m moving into because my new apartment is also a little cold and sterile like this place! LOVING THE VIDEOS!!
Noah, you are so good at articulating your thoughts on each design element. Sometimes we have a gut reaction to something for example that central lighting feature with multiple lighting elements that were swagged to the ceiling. I have a visual (bad) reaction, but I can’t articulate what it is that jangles in my brain. Another example is the table and chairs in the kitchen, just so many legs, 20 in all, that jars on the aesthetic. I do have a pedestal table but had no idea why it worked. Thank you, I am enjoying your conversational style. Can’t wait to see your new home and what you will do. Congratulations on your new nest!
Congrats on the new apartment! So happy for you. Looking forward to future videos about it. (Honestly, I feel like all your videos are kind of brilliant, because you explain the "why" of your choices so well. Thank you for all the inspiration you provide!)
I looove that little cup you’ve got ♥️ Thank you so much, I love how you speak to us, it’s like you are talking to an actual person, it feels like a conversation to me 🫶🏽
Highly agree that a sofa with a chaise tend to look uglier than a normal sofa! I always thought I'm the only person who thinks that. Unfortunately, an ottoman is not good alternative for an l-shaped sofa since it tends to slip away. Considering most people probably use their chaise more often than they have guests over I don't think it's worth it to switch looks for comfort in that instance
I've taken an interest in interior design lately, and one of your videos popped up in my recommendations a few days ago. I've been binge-watching ever since. They're such a nice way to unwind at the end of the day, and I love the format so far. Excellent work! 💗
These are so informative and helpful! One apartment per video feels like there's enough time to go in depth, which is just perfect! I will now reconsider getting a tv table with long legs, haha. Thanks for the great video!
At 12:20, those tv wires are easy to hide! Put a few small nails or pushpins in the back of the cabinet, and use cable ties to bundle up the excess cords. Great content!
Loved this video. I really want to send some photo's of my place through to get some ideas for a couple of tricky spaces I'm not sure how to deal with. I might in the next few weeks! I also really love the images you add. Really complements your descriptions. I would also really love you to model up these space and show what it could look like with all of your ideas in place (kind of like that video you did of the place you didn't get, but had already started designing) - but I totally get that it may be too time consuming for this type of video!
Herringbone floors is so beautiful and classical floors they are perfect!, in my opinion absolutely timeless, great space, years ago I didn't care much for L-shaped sofas and found a typical classic sofa most beautiful, however L-shaped sofas today can be very beautiful and they are more functional, meaning you can fit much more people and the corner is the best place for a cozy evening reading or watching TV, today I would never chose something else, this one in the video however is not the best, you can get much better design and fabric, agree on getting a bigger rug in another material blending in with the floor color, and also hate open lamps/see through as they aren't glare free love from Copenhagen
I was actually waiting for a suggestion to paint the tv stand 😅 and definitely reupholstering the sofa in the living room 😅 and yes, swapping out the lights above the sofa for smth that would give warmer light, thank you Noah. Really into your analysis of the interiors.
That living room pendant reminds me of a mechanical squid …. 😅 I’d say if they if they swap out the L-shape couch and still want a chaise, putting one in that lone corner would be cool (if not a large bulky accent chair)
I absolutely love this series!! I've already learnt SO much, like I really feel how the optics in my brain are changing and I'm finally starting to see the problems/solutions myself for the fist time in my life, which makes me SO happy!! Noah, if you have the time/resources, would you consider the possibility of adding photoshopping the new elements in the pictures as you go to the video? Even in a sketchy way maybe? Anyway thank you thank you thank you!
Love hearing all your advice here! And congrats on the new apartment! I also just spent a year living in a furnished apartment and moved into my own place last month. It's actually the first time I've ever tried to design a space, so videos like this are so helpful!
Congrats on the new apartment! My partner and I have been living in sublets for a whole year as well and this week we finally moved into our own apartment - it feels so nice to have your own space! Your videos have helped me a lot in understanding design and creating a good atmosphere for the space, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us :)
Congrats on your new apartment! Looking forward to seeing it. Another perfect video. I'm happy to listen to you talk about design in your (seemingly) free flowing way, so please don't spend too much time editing. You are a treasure!
In Australia we don’t have rugs in the kitchen. Kitchens have spills, grease, food crumbs etc. Too hard to keep a rug clean in that area. This also applies to a rug under a dining / kitchen table. Agree with switching out the loungeroom ceiling light, rug and coffee table. The black credenza / sideboard can be styled with warm wood trays, ceramic vases, brass candlestick holders and a large lamp with a warm colour lampshade. Roman blinds for the windows because they aren't large.
Congratulations on your new apartment. Looking forward to more of the wonderful content you put together. I’m a big fan of this vlog and you, of course. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
I agree with your choices, Noah. I would probably change the living room pendant light first as this will make a big impact quickly and, if your budget is limited at the moment, opt for cushions and throws to soften the sofa and chair and add a few storage baskets for warmth. The rest can be dealt with over time.
Found this really helpful to see apartments that actual look similar to what most spaces look like. I am using this video to help me with a new space I am renting! Thank you!
absolutely LOVING the deep dives, i hate when creators just say 1-2 nothing sentences about a submission and move on. I would love if you did a long format video on a single piece of staple furniture, and what are good things that you look for in it. Selfishly I would love to see a video on bed frames since I am struggling to pick one that is cute but also giving a more "mature" vibe (and isnt one of those tacky dropshipping platform beds!)
Hey, I‘ve fallen in love with your coffee cup in this one, to the point that I dreamt about it lately. Would you be so kind to tell me where you got it from? Btw, I‘m addicted to your content.
I am unreasonably excited to see your new apartment and watch you decorate it! What part of copenhagen is it? (I'm curious about the architectural style)
Your style and advices are on point. I really appreciate your style choices and the eye you have for unique furniture. I'm curious about how to make design choices when this style of furniture isn't readily available. Facebook Marketplace isn't very useful in our area (I live in Croatia, near Slovenia), and local stores don't carry this type of furniture either. Where can I source this kind of furniture without spending several thousand dollars on a single piece, assuming I even find it?
Congrats on the new appointment. I would prefer seeing you designing and building a house though 😊 In this apartment I would get rid of that small wall between the kitchen and the living room and would put a nice big wooden dining table. That tiny wall looks like a mistake 😅
Hey Noah love your videos! I have a question however. I made the same "mistake" as this person in your video of buying a matching tv stand and dresser in walnut with vertical wood slats. So I feel kinda bad because it was pretty expensive furniture :( So in your opinion would it be a good idea to swap the tv stand for also a walnut one but with a different look? I was thinking about one with sliding doors for that more vintage style. Looking forward to your opinion! 😊
Haha I almost spit out my drink because I did not expect to hear "Ljubljana, Slovenia" (where I also live) mentioned here. Great video, I love the deep dives. Greetings from ... you guessed it, Ljubljana
You show so many great little furniture and lighting photos in your videos. I’m sure most are vintage and chances of finding similar are slim. Others look new but incredibly expensive. Could you do a video with some approachable pieces that are available and somewhat affordable? Maybe options from places other than big box stores or a combination of both?
He already did a video on fb marketplace and found some good bargains on there. or do you mean for him to show new items that are from stores that more people could access?
hello Noah can you please tell me which microphone are u using in this video? pls and thank you! also I'm a big fan of your videos and your takes are always spot on :)
If you make these videos again I would love if you could 3d model the home to visually show how the home would like with the furniture you're recommending
People typically mount curtain rod hooks on studs and that makes the curtain fall in front of the window, so not as aesthetically pleasing but I’d argue that’s better design
Hi Noah, is there a name for the sofa with the striped cushions? It’s come up in a number of videos and is so cute. I am hoping to pick something similar for my new condo.
What are some good modern window dressings options? I feel like everything is either to office like (blinds) or too grandma like (curtains). Or is it just the materials? Pls help
Where are the first and second coffee tables from in the pictures that you showed ??? They are perfect ! I’ve been looking for one for my parents living room for ages ! 🩵🩵love your videos
After this vid my plan for tomorrow is to hang all the five pieces of art I own substantially lower. I knew it doesnt look right but could not fully grasp what bothered me 😮
Does anyone know a UA-camr with a similar design approach or sensibility as Noah but for style/fashion? I feel like all the fashion UA-camrs are tacky af.
Would love for your future videos to add visuals to your suggestions, even if it was just drop and paste in a non-formatted way to help visualise your ideas!
A half hour is a completely PERFECT length. I'd def watch longer videos from you too! I feel like when a video is 10-20 min long I always want a bit more.

I would love a half hour video too! Even longer ❤
Agrreed. Depends on the vibe of the creator, I think Noah's well suited to longer form, interior design ASMR!
Agreed!
Dear Noah, thank you for reviewing our apartment. A source of great inspiration. You've guessed it right about the missing information as well, of course, you have the sense.
Can't wait to do this project! All the best wishes with your new place
Yay! Thank you so much 🤍🤍🤍
before you leave, pls do a video (respectfully) roasting your current sublet
I love how you politely find terms in various creative ways as alternative for the word "cheesy"
Like the format! One apartment per episode is a good amount of info. And congrats on the apartment!
I love when you not just say what would do better, but *why* a certain item might do better, which lets me sort of figure out if a principle or idea can apply to my own home. Even better, I like when you explain when a principle may *not* work as well as it usually would
I want the videos to be this long. A deep dive is worth so much more than a passing glance. I love this

It's so pretty I love the tiles
It looks amazing
For the record I would absolutely love to watch a video of yours that’s several hours long 💕
I was gonna say the same! I’d watch a 2hr vid every week! ☺️
Yesss longer vid please 🥹
this could’ve been two hours long and i would have watched every minute of it! definitely provided a lot of inspiration for my new space i’m moving into because my new apartment is also a little cold and sterile like this place! LOVING THE VIDEOS!!

A huge congratulations on your new apartment 😊
You are a pleasure to listen to both for your excellent advice & your mild mannered personality!
I looove that little cup you’ve got ♥️
Thank you so much, I love how you speak to us, it’s like you are talking to an actual person, it feels like a conversation to me 🫶🏽
those lights with swag hooks are giving "the grinch stealing christmas"

These are so informative and helpful! One apartment per video feels like there's enough time to go in depth, which is just perfect! I will now reconsider getting a tv table with long legs, haha. Thanks for the great video!
I would love to see a video where your advice is taken and we get to see the final result or the space is photoshopped to look that way!
At 12:20, those tv wires are easy to hide! Put a few small nails or pushpins in the back of the cabinet, and use cable ties to bundle up the excess cords.
Great content!

aaaah can't wait for the new apartment!! it's going to be amazing seeing you put it together.
I love your videos! Your insight is helping me in decorating my new home

Congrats on the new place, truly excited to watch along with you as you design it!

the ONLY thing i like in the current version is those chrome lamps lol 😅
Me too, lol!
Congrats on the new apartment!! Look forward to following your plans for the new home. 👏👏👏
Cute coffee mug you were sipping from.❤ Where can we find it?

Just started the vid but when you said hello without the sipping on the coffee I felt betrayed (for 9 seconds when you then sipped the coffee)
Huge fan im currently trying to design my space and these videos are helping me a ton!
Yay you’re back!!!
I live for the cool cups at the biginning of your videos! Pleanse don't listen to haters and make a compilation when you have enough material
I need more videos like that
May I ask what you think of Bamboo wood flooring? Any thoughts appreciated, love your takes on this.
you need to be on AD. so knowledgable and with good taste!
Haha I almost spit out my drink because I did not expect to hear "Ljubljana, Slovenia" (where I also live) mentioned here. Great video, I love the deep dives. Greetings from ... you guessed it, Ljubljana

Yes, exactly.
As in the living room, lowering the picture above the kitchen table will be an immediate improvement towards warmth and coziness.
hello Noah can you please tell me which microphone are u using in this video? pls and thank you! also I'm a big fan of your videos and your takes are always spot on :)

Noah where did you get your sweater?

First and third sorry ! Hahah
Google Lens is a great way to identify items. If you haven't used it before, it's found on the right hand end of your Google search bar.
After this vid my plan for tomorrow is to hang all the five pieces of art I own substantially lower. I knew it doesnt look right but could not fully grasp what bothered me 😮
do a stream doing this so you don't have to edit plus we get to interact
Love that idea. A stream I would actually watch haha
Agree with everything you said.
I need to send pictures of my house to you. My rooms are small and narrow and awkward.
Subscribed!
Does anyone know a UA-camr with a similar design approach or sensibility as Noah but for style/fashion? I feel like all the fashion UA-camrs are tacky af.
why does he pronounce the word curtains so unusually
That wall between kitchen and living room needs to go. It's completely useless.
Do not like that furnace piece at ALL.
But do like most of your suggestions;-)
Would love for your future videos to add visuals to your suggestions, even if it was just drop and paste in a non-formatted way to help visualise your ideas!
Your content is interesting, but your voice and tone put me to sleep. I can’t concentrate on what you say 😅. Am i the only one?
