This hits home for me.
Firstly, I’m so sorry for your loss. Your daughter looked like she was an angel and also so beautiful her smile is absolutely contagious I couldn’t stop smiling every time she popped up on the screen. May she rest in peace & I can only imagine how happy she must feel being able to save her daddy from an unfortunate fate.
My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure when she was just 15 years old. Thankfully, both her kidneys held on for a long time but they finally started giving out when she turned 27 and she needed to start dialysis for 10 hours a day. My parents and I all could not give to her because we had all had more than 3 kidney stones so our kidneys were no good for her and no one who tested was a match. She got put on the waiting list here in Florida & we waited until she finally got the call that they had a kidney for her. Unfortunately it was due to someone else passing away but that person will forever be our angel because they gave my sister her life back, another chance to live and make the best out of it while not being held hostage to a hospital bed or dialysis machine.
Your daughter not only gave daddy another chance but also for 5 other people like my sister. That is beyond amazing. I hope those other people reach out to you all & share their stories. We’ve reached out to our donors family countless of times & they have never responded but we can’t imagine the pain & grief but we are incredibly grateful and always will be. I know nothing can ever replace your daughter but the fact that she’s changed so many lives and she now lives within all these different people, they will always carry her legacy on & she will continue to smile through them.
