In 1975 I was in my final year of high school I was given the responsibility of booking a band for our school dance .I ended up booking little known AC/DC, 50 people turned up . Their performance is forever etched in my memory
That is awsome.....what a memory!!!!
That’s awesome Phil. Do you remember what songs they played? What a memory!
@@NebraskaGonvilleJones hey Nebraska no chance I can remember what they played. To many years ago ,but I do remember the band had some random members that didn't last very very early days.
What school Phil? Melbourne weatern suburbs maybe? I met them at a motel in Mildura
That's f'n AWESOME. I was one yr old lol. I'm a 74 model
I’m glad you did an AC/DC song with the original singer Bon Scott. Loved his voice. Don’t get me wrong, Brian Johnson is great too but this song is awesome with those vocals and bagpipes!
And lyrics.
I love all AC/DC but the early Bon Scott songs are my favorite!
Dave Evans was the group's singer before Bonn Scott.
Not for the song just for the group
Totally agree 👍
My absolute favorite Ac/Dc song. The bagpipes and vocals by Bon and the lyrics everything works
It was a long way to the top but they've not only made it there, they're immortal
Any band that can rock out with bagpipes are inherently awesome.
Jimmy Barnes did a similar thing about 10 years later with ‘Thickskinned’
@@NZLatic and over in pop-rock Farnsie did it with You're the Voice
The band was from Australia, but Scotsmen they were! lads and lassies!
Nazareth does it ,hair of the dog.
Korn, shoots and ladders. Jonathan Davis plays bagpipes.
The Bon Scott name came from the term " the Bonney Scott" as he was Scottish. Good hard living makes for a good short life. RIP my friend.
Watching the expression drop off both of your faces, when the bagpipes hit was priceless.
The coolest sounding bagpipes ever. 😎
The best rock song and the best rock video EVER! Bon Scott and the pipes, Angus! 👍🥰💗💗💗⭐💗💗💗
"TNT", "Dirty deeds", "Let there be rock", you gotta hear more Bon Scott, one of the greatest voices in rock history!
I can remember walking out of a store with my copy of the Dirty Deeds album many, many moons ago now lol
@@phunkmonkeycookiegarage7773 Ahh, the good ole days
@Abe Lincoln, *BOOM*
Bon may be gone but he lives in our Rock hearts every freakin' day! And I continue to lobby for Jay & Amber to react to *"Let There Be Rock"*
They will love it I promise...!
Throw in *"ride On"* for Amber☺
Btw, if they like bagpipes they should please react to *Shipping To Boston"* by Dropkick Murphys
...and then go back to AC/DC
*"The Jack"*
*Whole Lotta Rosie"*
S.W.
Oh yes! Want some insane guitar? Let There Be Rock for sure!
All great songs! I’ll toss in “If You Want Blood (You Got It)”. It’s a personal favorite of mine.
Bon Scott was a Scotsman hence the bagpipes. So were Angus and Malcolm
Young. They lived in Australian but were born in
Scotland.
R.I P Bon Scott . awesome singer and amazing person
If you ever seen early AC/DC live, like I did ~77 or 78, you don't realize that Angus literally is like that for the entire show, non-stop energy, off the rails, it is insane to see in person. He never stops. And shows back then were 2+ hours.
I bet this is played at most so called 80s parties lol
Hey guys I am from Melbourne Australia and I turn 60 this week. Back in about 1976 when I was 16 I was walking in the centre of Melbourne and heard this loud music coming from down the road. I walked towards it and it and there was ACDC playing on the back of a truck. I think you will find this was ACDC's first music video and their first hit track. Been an ACDC fan since then (about 45 years) I last saw them perform in Melbourne to a crowd of about 70,000 in 2009. They still got it. Their rock and roll is timeless.
Moment in time
Certainly not their first hit.
Their first hit single was High Voltage. Which came out about 6 months after the album.
Likely 14!
Swanson St Melbourne and the W class trams. Bon was my favourite singer.
As a Scotsman this is 1 of my favourite ACDC songs, absolutely love it
Bon Scott stands for Bonnie Scotland
@@hangedman821..fuckin LOVE IT!!!
It's funny how AC/DC is considered an Aussie band, but only had 2 longtime members that were born here. Chris Slade and Phil Rudd. Ohwell, I still consider them all honourary Aussies.
How much fun it is to listen and watch AC/DC . Bon Scott and the Bagpipers make Scotland smile. Great song and a real rock head ponder
The older I got the more I appreciated Bon Scott.
He was a hell of a frontman
for real
Same
I don't listen to the stuff after Bon any longer. I'm 60.
One of the best and definitely ACDC's best fromtman
Rock & Roll Bagpipes!!!! Bon Scott was the best! He was the original lead singer of AC/DC but he passed away. Dude can sing and play the bagpipes in the same breath. HELL YEAH!!!
Back when my eldest was about one, she would sing along in harmony with the bagpipes in the car.
I learned recently that Bon Scott was their second lead singer, but I'd have to look up the first guy's name.
Dave Evans was the original singer 73-74 then bon took over
Bon Scott was a shortened version of a Bonnie Scot the young brothers and him were all Scots from Australia
Their stuff was the bomb
Have heard that song 100 times and it still gives me goose bumps. This is what rock is all about.
Best AC/DC song & maybe the best Rock n Roll song ever. Bon Scott - RIP!
I was there that day for the filming. That's me at 1:24, behind the high-hat cymbal, in your video. I was 13 years old. I will never forget it. Met Bon Scott and got his autograph that day.
This is pre 78 AC/DC with Bonn Scott as the lead singer. He was great and then he passed away in 1980 and AC/DC was almost no more until the hired Brian Johnson and they released Back in Black. Which was a tribute to Bonn Scott.
I love how they always kept it true to their roots! AC/DC with Bon Scott will be forever the best hands down.
Fuck yeah!
Ac-DC and the Angels...
Hes
Yes!!! BON SCOTT ALL THE WAY!!! R.I.P
Brian Johnson is still riding his coattails.
One of the reasons this song works so well is that they are singing about their life. ACDC were no instant smash. In Australia in the early 70's, they played pretty much every night for years, getting fans one by one. Then over to the UK and did the same thing, and then over to the USA to do it all again for the third time. Every day often travelling hundreds of miles, every night putting on the same high energy show. The tightness and perfect timing was the result. Those early years meant that when they hit the big time in 1979/80, they were so well practiced that they could seem utterly out of control, but yet be in perfect unison.
Malcom just killing the rhythm with his heavy hand!!! Just banging on the strings. He was a huge part of the AC/DC sound. RIP
Agree , Angus gets always the credits , but Malcolm carries the band. RIP Malcolm
👊👍
Totally. Malcolm was an amazing guitarist but was happy to let his brother shine. Can't beat Bon Scott's vocals. He was one hard rocker!!
Angus even says that Malcolm was the one that came up with the riffs that gave them their sound.
I was graced to meet Malcom. In Aussie style he said, 'I only know one guitar riff...but it is f#cking good one'
Love the bagpipes. Grew up listening to the bagpipes, my dad was Scottish and immigrated to the United States with his parents when he was a youngster. We as kids were subjected (lol) to listening to the pipes and our lives were all the better for it. ❤️. Rock on!!!!!!!
Angus and Malcolm Young, Bon Scott, were born in Scotland as well, moved to Australia as kids.
I always liked bagpipes. But then, I didn't live with someone who played them. Lol Seriously, those things seem hard to play but when played well are awesome. My family roots are in Scotland which might explain why the bagpipes "speak" to me.
My dad was US Navy and we were blessed to live in Scotland. Loved bagpipes from the very first note I heard. They still can bring a huge smile and a little tear to my eyes.
@@krbowles9656 I feel ya on this. Marching bands are cool.....but a full bagpipe and drums I'm ready for battle.
I'm a Highlander and my brother and uncle are pipers. Can recommend so many cool bands with pipers in. Try Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Afrocelt Sound System and Peatbog Faeries to start you off.
*"There is no such thing as Rock & Roll Bagpipes"*
Bon Scott: " Hold my beer..."
The bagpipes just add another cool level to this song ! Love your reactions xx
For those about to rock - we salute you!! Another great choice you guys, peace and love to the fam!
Bonus: Cannons!
Live version please
I saw them around 1978 when I was in high school and shortly after they had arrived in the US and were playing small venues at the time. Bon Scott was simply one of the best Rock Frontman ever. I thought Angus was going to have a heart attack. Within two minutes of his manic energy he was sweating profusely and he kept it up for two hours. The cool thing was when I first saw them everyone new very little about them. We didn’t even know they were from Australia. So none of us didn’t know what to expect (remember there were no such thing as music videos back then). I think they started with “High Voltage” and within 3 bars we were all on our feet and stayed on our feet for the rest of the show.
Sounds epic!
My first AC/DC concert was 1977 when I was in 10th grade, at the Baltimore Civic Center. I was a sweaty exhausted mess by the end of the show. Thank God I grew up when I did.
I saw Bon when he was starting out, long before he joined AC-DC. There's a statue of him in Fremantle fishing boat harbour, he's buried up the road a bit. Perth, Western Australia. F*** I'm old....then INXS for free entry, playing every dive in town to get started. Perth was jumping.
A classy description, beautifully written.
I think this video is around 1978
I was born in Melbourne Australia in 1970. This vid was filmed in Swanston Street in Melbourne, I was five years old on February 23, 1976 when it was filmed.
I miss Bon. He was a legend!😊
My alltime favorite acdc song great band
Angus once said "I only know about 4 chords, I just play them differently each time"
That's one more chord than blues (blues has 3 chords)
Tue,true but still distinct in their sound. I’ve seen them 3 times in Vancouver over the years, awesome shows 😎
That's one or two more than most punk rockers too
He might have said that, but his ability on the guitar is extremely good. Young was ranked 24th in Rolling Stone magazine's 100 greatest guitarists of all-time list and is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. My guess is he can play a little more then 4 chords ;-)
@@hanselemans4237 i agree, i think he said it tongue in cheek
They're of Scottish descent, hence the bagpipes!
Not easy to play. And the guitar riff in time to the pipes, awesome!!!!!
When they said .. you can't have bagpipes in a rock and rock song.
Bon Scott... here hold my beer.
and the rest is history
This was filmed in my home town and I was lucky enough to be in the city that day and saw this being filmed. The City of Melbourne has recognised AC/Dc as being legends and have named a street after them. Very Cool
We have a statue of Bon Scott in Kirriemuir/Scotland, his birthplace.
That's awesome! I'm a Canadian and we love the Aussies (Commonwealth). Bagpipes are amazing. Bon Scott rules
Yes, for Countdown I believe. Nonetheless, the Youngs and Mark Evans there (on bass) are Sydney boys. The late Malcolm Young's main home in his later years was in Balmain.
Wow! Too cool!!❤
Down Swanston Street CBD
One of the best songs ever!! R.I.P BON SCOTT!! This is the only song they hardly ever play live out of respect to Bon Scott.
Pffft!! Well of course not! Where would they find a singer with the same tonal qualities that could also play the bagpipes? Heck, just the bagpipes in general would be a difficult find, when that is the only song that really uses them, to go on a full tour! I have no doubt that there is a ton of respect for Bon Scott, but I would also say there are some logistical problems to bringing a set of pipers for just one song.
@@edwardpaulsen1074 AC/DC have Never played this song after Bon's death out of respect for him
Filmed in my hometown of Melbourne Australia driving along Swanson St. The brilliant Bon Scott, miss him still. Have seen them 5 times and only ever with him. A great frontman and a legend in this country.
A fellow (ex)Melbournian here.
I can nearly smell the Darrell Lea shop and the shop that sold roasted nuts along there. Good memories of Melbourne in the 70's
Another (now living interstate) Melburnian here. This music clip was filmed during my university days. Watching it is for me like stepping back into a time capsule.
my city too . love melbourne .the best city in australia 70s music was the best decade
Yeah, I'm 70 years old and I think this is in the Top 10 for greatest rockers of all time. Just really dig that driving beat and the simplicity of the song. I think it's just 3 chords. R&R at it's purest. It's the blues sped up.
you described punk more than you did r n' r
Amen to that. Oui. These kids today don't don't know from good music.
No argument here.
Damn straight bro 🤟
56 year old Aussie here its awesome your listening to classic acdc..bon scot fucking legend...he was the one that recommended Brian Johnson...
This is my favorite AC/DC song. I love your pure reaction to them
Everyone always gives a lot of credit to Angus, but Malcolm Young is actually one of the best all time rhythm guitarists.
Malcolm wrote most of the riffs as well. It was his band. Angus is the show and they recognized early just what an insane lead guitar player Angus is, so Malcolm relinquished any leads and stuck to rhythm, which he’s better at than basically anyone else. They’re brilliant
I love this tribute to Mal....brings tears to my eyes. ua-cam.com/video/MBkaLEokDxY/v-deo.html
@@DaleChiTown . . Malcolm was just letting his little brother do his thing and Malcolm knew Angus was very good player . . And Angus and Malcolm did there music together on stage and off stage . . . That's what brothers do . . . I heard Malcolm one time in an interview talk about how good Angus was and what a good front man he made . . . Malcolm was never jealous of his little brother Angus . . . And Angus knew when it came down to ac/DC Malcolm was the boss . . Angus never questioned that about his big brother . . And everybody knows Malcolm made the band ac/DC . . Nobody has any doubt about who created AC/DC . . Malcolm young .
RIP to the late great Malcolm Young!!!
Yep Malcolm was the anchor in every way and arguably the reason for their decades long success.
Imo, you could replace everybody but the young brothers and still have AC/DC. Much like the stones, except I think the only irreplaceable Stone is Mick.
The bagpipes are such an unlikely rock instrument it just makes this so cool..:)
This was recorded over 46 years ago, and it still amazing people that watch it. One of the best rock videos I've ever seen. It's the bagpipes that get me, so unexpected with such a hardcore band. I sometimes feel that Bon Scott is a little easier on the ears to listen to. Just imagine walking down the streets of Melbourne, back in the day, and a truck passes you by. One the back is ACDC rocking out hard, and with them are some bagpipers. You would just have to stop and watch them. Or if you were in a car behind them. Would you even bother trying to overtake?
My favorite AC/DC song.
I have listened to this song most of my life, since it was released - I still find it inspiring every time I hear it. This band is one of the best ever
Bon Scott is the Man !! AC/DC never would have made it without Bon Scott and Malcolm Young formed the band and he could play anything Angus did and Angus always looked up to his brother Malcolm. R.I.P. 1980 Bon Scott
Absolutely one of Australia’s best bands Acca Dacca and the one and only Bon Scott you can’t go wrong so glad you did the original with Bon Scott.. 🇦🇺😊
Not "one of", they are the very best band to come from Oz bar none
Oh glorious Bon Scott...so missed. Never fail to put on a great show!
Love this video. This was the early '70's. Bon Scott (RIP) Lead singer, and Playing those Bagpipes. The fact they were able to find Brian Johnson stay on top after Bon's death is a testament to the band as a whole. There is another version of this shot about the same time but in a town square not on a truck. Lovin this reaction
Brian was a roadie with the band when bon was there
Brian Johnson seems like such a good person. I agree that he is a great singer too. Can you imagine coming into AC/DC after Bon Scott?!

@@tomstockley7055
Sorry Tom, but Brian was never a roadie. He was fronting his own band called Geordie at the time
and was setting up an automotive glass shop when he got the call to audition for AC/DC.
He thought he would never get the gig.
Until Malcom(RIP) called him personally!
Being a Scottish descent I love the pipes and I love the way they put it in. It wouldn't be the same song without it. Love these guys. Check out a live version of Whole Lotta Rosie. You will be shook.😎👍
Three of them are from Glasgow.
My wife and mom are also Scottish descend and mom is 87 now I showed her this and she loved it.
Two are from Glasgow,Angus and Malcolm, Bon Scott was from Kirriemuir. Even have a statue of Bon there( and one in Australia)
The way they incorporated the bagpipes was masterful! I've always loved this song!
Indeed
Having this at my Funeral, Hopefully A Long Way Off👍😀
That Phil Rudd groove is really the secret ingredient that makes ACDC sound so infectious.
Phil was an important part of their sound.
agreed!
I also think that Malcolm Young played a large part in the band. His rhythm guitar made the song in a lot of their work. Angus is the big gun, but Malcolm made the songs move.
Phil loved his high hat
@@alienlife7754 Malcolm Young was the master mind of AC/DC
The thing is with Angus is that he is also playing really really well for the songs too and keeping that energy going . A true showman all the way to his soul.
He has the old les Paul through the Marshall amp, he was a huge fan of Mick Taylor and the great Eric Clapton that played this tone early on in John mayall and the bluesbreakers.
Bon Scott,,, Rocks Greatest Vocalist,,,,, and he plays the Bagpipe,,,, one of my top 3 songs ever,,,, never stop listening to AC/DC
Thanks for doing this one. Lead singer was Scottish, hence he knew how to play the bagpipes. But incorporating it into a hard rock song is pure genius - it works!
He was actually a drummer who leaned how to play as a kid with Fremantle pipe band. He only really learned the pipes for this performance and never playec again.
This is my favorite AC/DC song!! No one else could rock bagpipes! Love me some Angus too! Great song
It’s great you got to react to Bon Scott era AC/DC! Everything about bagpipes is cool! I’ve loved the pipes since I was a toddler.
Music is supposed to bring people together, make you smile, make you cry, feel things and it's NOT cultural appropriation to play, listen to or love a different type of music than whatever you're "supposed" to like. It's awesome that we can all enjoy music from every genre. Music means so much to each of us and it has much to teach if we're open to it. Great review as always!
AC/DC, the young brothers, their older brother was also a part of a very well known 60's band so, destined to rock their socks off. Bonn Scott, A true and pure rock n roller. We were so fortunate to have had AC/DC in our teenage lives. I had seen the band live at least twelve time's before any one outside of Australia had heard of them.
Indeed - George and his fellow producer/songwriter Harry Vanda were both members of the Easybeats - who are probably best known for their hit "Friday On My Mind". George and Harry wrote many successful hits during their career. George also played bass on some of the early AC/DC songs too, until Mark Evans joined.
After this had been out for a while, we ( in Aust) started singing along with “it’s a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll” . Obviously just for a joke, but they were so incredibly popular and we felt like they were OURS!
Wait until they learn about the Angels song 'Am I ever gonna see your face again'.
They were ours
Well they did start here. As for The Angels RIP Doc Neeson
Or it's a long way to the cross if you want to F@#k a mole
@@bryanhillman1223 I’ve never heard that one, it cracks me up!
'Let There be Rock" is a remarkable example of their early work - so relentlessly energetic.
100% agree with you wayne kasmar
Bon Scott is severely missed. Brian Johnsons great in his own right, but Bons on a different level i.m.o. When you can successfully incorporate bagpipes in a rock song, snd make it work, you're accomplishing something. Also, I love how Rob is so in tune to noticing the integral details in what makes a song great, and when the bagpipes came on. I knew he would take notice.
“For Those About to Rock” is their encore every time they play. Long way to the top is the warning to up and coming bands from their early years… for those about to rock is the salute to those who come behind them… after they made it.
Seen them live 3 times over the years,,,and Angus has a weird habit of mooning the crowd..best live band I have ever seen.🤘
It's been part of his show since the 70's to Bad Boy Boogie.
@@charliegeorge9393 It's really weird at his age now though...
Angus was just 20 when they recorded this song in 1975. Bon Scott was the lead singer then and they had yet to light up the world. Even then they were already a really good band. The video was made in a flat bed truck accompanied by a pipe band travelling up along Swanston Street, Melbourne in Australia. I recognise the street as I can make out the main train station and trams along the road from years back when I was in college in Melbourne.
Melbourne looks a little different nowdays 46 years later
When I was at school, we used to joke, "It's a long way to the shop for a sausage roll." Being of Scottish decent, I love the Bagpipes and I like how these guys incorporated them into this song.
This song rocks man, love a.c.d.c. saw them so many years ago in concert. Love them bag pipes. ✌️😎💯👏💥🎸🥁💃
i love AC/DC! You both have to hear Bon Scott singing the AC/DC classic, Ride On!! Amber will be doing her swaying
for sure! All the while, they are still rocking. One of my favorites to sit back and just enjoy.
One of my favorites too! I also like Crabsody in Blue a lot too!
This song epitomises Rock at its most pure and primeval state. It is a no compromise driving head banger. Bon Scott was without doubt one of the best frontman of all time.
The legend is that they had the song rehearsed for recording when their producer, older brother of the Young's, commented that they should include bagpipes to instill their Scottish roots into the song. Bon said :"cool I used to be in a bagpipe band." Angus remembered seeing some used bagpipes at a pawn shop and went out and spent his last dollars to buy the pipes. The next day in the studio Angus presented them to Bon who queried "what is this?". Angus says:"you said you used to be in a bagpipe band." To which Bon replied "yeah, but I was the drummer"😏 Or something like that, but I always think of that and laugh when I hear this song. Awesome!!!
That call & response between the guitar & bag pipes is awesome those guys on the bags are bloody good shows what can be done with them awesome instrument sounds great .
I was one of the people who recommended this clip some months ago, and am sooo glad you got to it, and loved it. I am an Aussie, and my parents were Scottish, so this track is food for my soul. Thanks.
@ Ian Weir Same here about this being food for the soul for people who have Scotsmen and women in their family . For me it was my grandparents, they used to go back to Scotland every other summer and when my brother and I got to go , it was the best experience of my life. I am from the USA

I've loved bagpipes all my life, but I think they're in my blood.
When I got off the train, my first trip to Edinburgh, it felt like I had come home. 😊 That's only happened in a handful of places during my many years of traveling.
You're so deserving of this mate.
I suggested it when they did You're the voice and commented they hadn't heard bagpipes in music before.
One out of two groove to this song. At the sound of my voice and the snap of my fingers you’ll return to earth.
Man I'm 50yrs old and love this song! Always been one of my favs. To see all you younger gen digin it is testament to how good it is! Keep it coming y'all I subscribed!!
The Bon Scott years were the best by far. He is like the fountain of youth for me. Forever young. I was 18 and a ACDC Disciple when this hit the record stores.
This song was first released in Australia in 8 December 1975, and I was 21 yo and in my first job as an apprentice elec fitter. There was another young apprentice taken on in the same company and he used to call me Cat, as I had long hair and was also in a band, but also he reiterated how much I definitely had to listen to AC/DC. I did not regret that persistance. In fact he introduced me to a gorgeous older female friend of his. It was perfect Rock'n'Roll in all ways!!
Forget Bohemian Rhapsoday and Stairway to Heaven, this is a true Rock n Roll song !
Bon Scott...Rock and Roll poet... Drivin down the Highway...Goin to a show...YES
Hi, it is great to see you guys enjoy this band. Yes this goes back to the '70 and early ACDC with the original lineup. Take care, Mick
I love Angus so much!! He made me a true fan of hard rock and roll. Watch Let There Be Rock, I’ve never seen anyone be so happy and joyous doing their job like Angus in that video. For Those About To Rock is another must listen.
I grew up on ACDC, and absolutely love this song/video from when they were nobodies. It's very inspiring. Look at the tiny crown chasing this band, compared to the arenas filled with paying fans, they would later play for.
Why is this my favorite AC/DC song of all time?
Three chords, the truth, and BAGPIPES!
Scots with a bag pipes rocking Australia, this was probably message of this song, and then... they rocked entire world, so thanks and hats down to the AC-DC One of the top 5 bands ever!!!
Love your reaction...This was filmed on the back of a truck in the streets of Melbourne with the original singer Bonn Scott back in 1976 and was a big hit for AC/DC (back then we used to change the words to "It's A Long Way To The Shop If You Want A Sausage Roll)...lol
You are right they are young because this was before ACDC was ACDC. They didn't become big till after Bon died. Back in Black was the break through. The genius of this song is a bagpipe solo and duel with lead guitar. Goosebumps all around.
Best rock song ever, and bagpipes unreal!!
Bon Scotts grandma saved the band after grandson Bon Scot passed away Rip in brother Aloha from Hawaii keep the faith and rock on ciaos
Please do “Whole Lotta Rosie” live at River Plate. Angus rocks it out and that crowd is insane
Love it.
Let There Be Rock from that same show to showcase Angus's talents in his 50's
Better version is the one from if you want blood album, filmed at Glasgow apollo in 1978 with Bon Scott singing
Insane isn,t it .
The story goes angus was dressed like that at a practice be for they were known grandma said u look like a schoolboy and he stuck with that look
I flew to Munich from London some years back for an AC/DC concert. Still one of the best concerts I have ever seen and I have seen plenty over the years. Their energy and stage performance is amongst the very best one can ever experience.
That song makes me smile and love your reactions ❤
I'm 62 and a long time fan from the beginning.....I love all their songs....but this is one of the really good ones. The singer here is the original, Bon Scott. He passed away a long time ago. Angus Young is 69 now. Back in their early days, radio stations would not play their music on the radio before midnight.
I think their music was at its peak with Bon, and they've just sustained it ever since with Brian but Bon Scott's voice is one of my favourite rock voices.
Bon was just such a great frontman.
Such a lovely wicked cheeky grin and eye roll
I agree. I sometimes wonder how long they would have lasted with Bon up front though. He loved trying new things but Acca Dacca have lasted so long because they know what they and the audience like and they stick to the formula.
Bon Scott was the show man, he played to the camera and the audience.
I love that you love AC/DC..an all time favourite that everyone needs to listen to..my 9 yo son has been loving AC/DC lately and I've told him to listen to and appreciate The Eagles next when he is ready.
Love your content and that you actually listen to a broad range of songs and music that you react to.
We used to sing "It's a long way to the top if you want a sausage roll" in school and thought we were so funny haha
This is one of the GREATEST AC/DC performance!
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥. Thanks!
just abit of history about this song and the band they all where born in Scotland and immigrated to Australia when they where young apart from Phil rudd the drummer he was born in Australia.. this song was made in 1975 2 years after acdc where formed the lead singer bon scott actually never had experience with the bagpipes he actually played the flute before and during the recordings they wanted something to stand out in the song so bon tried the bagpipes because he had experience with the flute thats how the bagpipes are in the song🏴😁🎶
You guys just reacted to my FAVORITE AC/DC song! This was the very first AC?DC song i ever heard. Once the song kicks in it just nails you to the wall and it never lets up. Good stuff! Side note: if you are planning to do anymore AC/DC reactions I would HIGHLY recommend you check out "Shot Down in Flames" It kicks ass!
We as Australians have loved our boys since day 1, they played hard and drank hard. Losing Bon Scott so early was the hardest. We have so many awesome rock bands in Australia and we are proud of them all. Some are still going. Try early Cold Chisel they were amazing, loud and very energetic aswel.
australia's got great bands. i've loved The Church for a while.
Let's not forget the Angels - always loved Doc Neeson's energy and singing. Chisel are great too - Don Walker is one of the best songwriters Australia has produced.
Of course the Youngs and Bonn Scott are Scottish 😂
Off course like all smart people chose to live here in Australia.
We are multi culture here we dont care where your from just be nice to each other. Off course also to make great music
@@vickideer5704 What happened to you? You can’t spell? 🤣
Angus and Mal (RIP)😪 are the reason I picked up a guitar back in the early 80s. A couple of bands and several decades later, they are correct. It is a long way, but I had a great time along the way. Thanks guys
Swanston Street, Melbourne in 1976....was shopping with my mother when we walked straight into this crowd....changed my life
