True story. I was once at an AC-DC concert and Brian Johnson couldn't make it for some reason. I was called up from the stage and asked to sing lead, it was a dream come true. I was rocking the house down, the crowd was really in it. I heard a faint voice in my earpiece and it got louder and louder, until I heard my mom yelling "Get up boy, if you don't hurry, you're gonna get fired from your job at Waffle House!"
At least you had your 15 minutes of fame, Abe! ROCK ON!! 😎🤟
Omg dude you almost had me. The only reason I even clicked on your story was to tell you “ and then you woke up”!! And then your story ends basically the same way. Now that can only happen between 2 ACDC true back n black fans!!
Man was this real? Sus?
😅
😂
The unsung hero of this band was Malcolm Young (RIP) who co-wrote the songs and played that chunky rhythm guitar riff, so understated. He was Angus' brother and died from dementia.
This is so true Ed. Malcolm was a perfectionist and wanted everything done right.
Finally someone who feels the same way I do Angus is awesome but Malcolm is was a d always will be the backbone of AcDc. GREATES rhythm guitarist ever period
Yes, you see him still alive and well in this vid and today he's not with us anymore. Makes me kinda sad , especially for Angus. He lost two brothers in a short period of time: first older brother George and then Malcolm.
Their oldest brother George was also a musician and produced their 1st 5 or 6 albums. George passed away not long before Malcolm.
I think he had lung cancer before the dementia. He would have smoked a lot in the early 70's.
They are not the 'hardest', they are not the 'fastest', they are not the most 'technical', but they are the very essence of Rock & Roll! They are the primordial soul of rock!
They play very tight in sync 😉
'The primordial soul of rock'... You, sif, are a poet. The perfect summation of AC⚡DC's style & their invaluable contribution to Rock & Roll.
AC/DC just shows up and kicks ass
They are one of those unique bands where if you hear any song by them, you’ll instantly recognize any other by them. Like Metallica or Pink Floyd
you nailed it! They never sold out!
my favorite band and im 74 and still cant get enough.
Go all the way back to their first album…..it’s a long way to the top (if you wanna rock n roll)
Then T.N.T. on that same album
Malcom Young was the heart of this band. RIP Malcom. Love AC/DC. ❤️👍🏻
A little trivia, Angus as a schoolboy just couldn't wait to practice with the band after school so he never went home to change clothes and that is why you see him on stage wearing knickers and his cap, he carried that over to stardom.
From working with AC/DC I found that their ROCK n Roll sound come at you like this.. Phil and Cliff "THUMP" the chest gets the heart pumping.. Malcome and Angus gets the feet tapping,,, and Brian gets you "Movin' and Groovin" thats why their songs get you moving...
This duck-walking genius is my favorite guitarist of all time! Simply put, NO ONE is more passionate than Angus Friggin' Young! He isn't "playing" the music. He IS THE MUSIC! It flows through him like electricity. And he doesn't give a rip WHAT it looks like! He's going to let that music flow as he lives out the power of the songs on stage! What an absolute pleasure to watch somebody so brilliant! Thank you so much for this reaction!
Angus was heavily influenced by Chuck Berry (like a lot of other people). That's where he got it.
The Razor's Edge is the twelfth studio album by Australian band AC/DC, released on September 21, 1990. It is the band's only studio album recorded with drummer Chris Slade. The album includes some of the band's most popular songs such as "Thunderstruck" and "Moneytalks". The album reached number 2 in the US and number 4 in the UK. It has now sold over 5 million copies in the US.
One of the greatest bands ever to see live. Angus Young just stalks around the stage like an apex predator. Dude knows he's the king.
ACDC is the only rock band that has never had to change their style
It's always been hard hitting rock with insane guitar riffs in the solos
Someone complained that Angus just plays the same three chords over and over. Angus replied, "There are three?"
@@auckalukaum Three cords and the truth
Rose Tattoo awell .
@auckalukaum someone can complain all they want..But they will never duplicate the style, power, passion, and cool factor of Angus..But for me it is the heartbeat of ACDC..Malcolm
Slayer never changed. I know it’s metal vs. rock.
But to never change in a 4 decade career and still be selling albums and shows (not anymore I know. Rip Jeff Hanneman) it means they got shit right the first time
"For those about to Rock...We Salute You" One of my favorite Songs from them. No One has reacted to it yet....be the 1st!
Big AC/DC fan! You need to hear "T.N.T.", "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Shoot To Thrill", "Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution", "Big Balls", "Shot In The Dark" (new 2020) and "Through The Mists Of Time" (new 2021)
The first time I heard AC/DC I was 16, could not get enough of them. They are still one of my favorite bands.
AC/DC live was one of the most insane concert experiences I've ever had. You just had to be there to understand how hard they rock, the crowd goes wild! So one AC/DC reaction a week maybe? 🤘
Chris Slade was the drummer on this album and the tour. Such an absolute monster
Yes. He's having a lot of fun doing it too. He's not keep up, he's driving.
This song was off of Razors edge. I was @ the concert in Phoenix. During this song a floating blimp flew above the crowd & released thousands of Angus bills!
There's only 3 kinds of people in the world. One, people who openly love AC/DC. Two, people who secretly love AC/DC. And three, people who don't like them, because they don't like music, I guess. I said it before, and I'll say it again. AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" came on the radio at work (I work in a kitchen), and an older black woman, my co-worker, someone who is pretty stoic most of the day, except when she's mad, and watch out when she's mad. Anyway, there she was, thinking no one was looking, shaking her bootie to that song. Because, AC/DC.
Have you kids done "It's a long way to the top" yet ? BAGPIPES!
Funny thing about Angus - he's actually extremely gentle and plays the guitar quite smoothly. Among rock guitarists, he's known for his buttery smooth application on the frets. You'd never know it from the way he absolutely rocks out. But that's part of why he gets such absolutely clean notes even in his solos. He's very precise, gentle, and smooth on the instrument.
Excellent point. I have heard him say he has to make these grand gestures because he is small and needs the momentum to play the chords.
i saw them in charlston wv on thiis tour, i dont rember much of the concerts ive sa for the past 30+ years, but i remember angus money coming out of the vents, it was great,i didnt get any. but it was killer- loudest band i think ive ever, they pour their soul into iit,
Hi Jay and Amber, Moneytalks is from their 1990 album The Razors Edge, the dance Angus Young does is called The Duck Walk, he got it from Chuck Berry, Angus was 35 years old here, he's now 66 years old and still performing today with AC /DC, singer Brian Johnson is now 74 years old and also still with the band, as is bassist Cliff Williams, who is now 72 years old 😀😀🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸
From "the Razor's Edge" which had to be one of the toughest follow-ups ever after responding to Bon Scott's death with "Back in Black" and "for Those About to Rock". You haven't properly heard this album until you hear "Are You Ready?".
Razor’s Edge was over a decade after Bon Scott’s death.
@@brianezell5790 ...which is why I said the next two records responded to his death. Back in Black(1980), and to a lesser extent, For Those About to Rock(1981) were monster albums that hit #1. Many of the album's songs were in some stage of development when Bon Scott died. Flick of the Switch only made it to #15 and Fly on the Wall #32 before falling. The Razors Edge(1990) was a triumphant comeback at #2 and also returned them to the singles chart for the first time in 9 years.
@@chuckragsdale2904 you described it as a follow up. There were two albums and Who Made Who in between Back in Black & Razor’s Edge. Razor’s Edge is not the follow up album to Back in Black.
@@brianezell5790 every work within a given field is a follow-up to all previous work but I digress. The point was simply that AC/DC returned to the regular rotation on AOR radio stations in the US.
@@chuckragsdale2904 okay. Fair enough. I see where you are coming from.
Angus Young birthday is March 31st. In order to celebrate Angus birthday you have to do ( Let There Be Rock )live at River Plate December 2009.
When Angus and his brother Malcolm started AC DC Angus asked him what kind of music are they going to play he replied ROCK.
If you want a show of Angus playing guitar this one a must . You will love it.
I remember when you were sitting in with James and introduced you as the Hip-hop fan who never listened to "Rock".....That must have been a MONUMENTAL shift in your life! Had Amber never heard Rock before either?🙂
The razors edge. Love you guys
Angus was once asked what it felt like to be considered one of the best guitarists in the world. He answered, "I'm not even the best guitarist in AC/DC". Whether he was out not, he was definitely the reason a lot of people bought tickets to their concerts.
Just love Jay rocking out like a kid in the world's best toy store while Amber is just jamming and lighting up the room. The world needs so much positivity like yours. Thank you for being the giving and loving souls you are.
Bagpipes and Rock n' Roll? YES! One of my favorite AC/DC songs "It's a Long Way to the Top (if you wanna Rock n' Roll)".
I was at the show in Philly that the video for this song was filmed. Used to have a bank robbers bag full of Angus dollars from the show. Sadly they are long gone. So is some of my hearing from the cannons from the closer For Those About To Rock (We Salute You). Also, Angus did a long solo where he ran around the crowd. I followed the spotlight that was on him - it went behind me and my friends, and when I turned around he was 6 inches from my face!
Wow!
You gotta do "Whole Lotta Rosie " live at River Plate. ACDC rocked that concert..
....and the crowd rocked even more! My favourite concert film.
"Whole Lotta Rosie", from the "If You Want Blood" album.
@@brianferris8668 That is a great version.....Angus's solo is off the charts.
This CD came out when I was in college. Moneytalks was always played at the bar.
I heard of AC DC at this point but never really listened to them.
Once I heard Moneytalks I became intrigued and started listening to more of AC DC and became hooked.
Thunderstruck is powerful.
You Shook Me All Night Long is the best rock song ever.
T.N.T. is amazing
My absolute favourite though is Whole Lotta Rosie.
Excellent choices all!!!
saw ac/DC at a concert once...it was THE best concert I've ever been to!!
Jay, !!!! your reaction is genuine and sooooo authentic,
Angus kept the beat with his footwork. Always matches perfectly. Legend. 🎶🎸
The main reason that I love this song it is because it is one of the few that highlights the group's backing vocals near the end. Most of the time they're singing along with Bon or Brian where he sings opposite them
The kick he does is called a duck walk and he adopted it from chuck berry. He was always a huge rhythm and blues fan and chuck berry was 1 of his favorites
I saw them in 2008. Angus was still every bit of what you see here, that many years later. The man don't quit.
The way you like Angus, if you haven’t watched “Who Made Who” you should. I think it’s really cool and actually on my playlist it follows right after this song. There’s also “ Let There Be Rock” which is the only video I’ve seen where Angus isn’t in the school uniform.
who made who definitely!!
Who Made Who is definitely required material
Greatest band of all time you should visit every song that they ever made 😁
AC/DC Heat seeker. If you guys like Thunderstruck and Money talks your going to love Heatseeker 🎉
I saw AC/DC twice on their Razor's Edge tour, so good. In fact, at their show in Birmingham, Alabama on February 2nd, 1991 at BJCC, I caught some of the Money Talks dollar bills that drifted down from high above as I had floor seats, about 15 rows back dead center from stage. And, I still have the dollar bills from the show as well as the ticket stub. Cool to the Max!
This is off of the Razor’s Edge album and when they did that toir, I was lucky enough to have front row seats with my brother and some of our friends. During this song they dropped thousands of Angus Bucks from the ceiling and I have them to this day! Best live band I have ever seen! I have seen them 7 times and if they do another tour, me and my 3 daughters will be there!
I’ve still got my Angus Bucks, one from the tour, one from the Bonfire box set 🤘
Angus' signature move is a Chuck Berry duck walk, but he did it more often than Chuck.
You need to react to my favorite AC/DC song Have a Drink on Me. It's the Bon Scott death song from the Black album which was the first with Brian Johnson. Johnson wrote the lyrics in honor of Bon and claims he felt the spirit of Bon when he did.
Thank you I was about to say that was Angus tribute to Chuck Berry's famous Duck walk.
Angus was doing the Curly Shuffle 😆😆😆
Slept out at the Entertainment Centre Perth to get front row seats to the Razor Edge tour , still have the Angus money that fell to the floor during the Moneytalks song ... that was 1 of 5 different tours that i been to of AC/DC . Love to see them again 🤣🤣🤣🤘🤘🤘
Here is a list that you should try (in any order):
-Let There be Rock - official video or Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon)
-Whole Lotta Rosie (Live at River Plate) - (With Brian)
-TNT (Live at River Plate) - (with Brian)
-Riff Raff Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon)
- The Jack Live at River Plate - (with Brian)
- Its a Long Way to The Top (If you wanna Rock n Roll) - (with Bon)
- Thunderstruck - Live at River Plate or Donington - (with Brian)
-For Thouse About to Rock - Live at River Plate (is The Last song from the concert)
Can’t go wrong with these guys!
You can bet on maximum Energy from the Boys. Having seen AC-DC 3 times in the 80s early 90s the Band the Crowd go full out for a couple hours. Angus
is a Man Possessed in his
Private Boys school outfit that he sheds as he shreds!!
Guaranteed excitement.
RIP Malcolm Young .
Rhythm guitar. Songwriter
Brother to Angus Young.
and all band member family. Rock On.
Best concert ever I am 55 been listening seen I was 9. Love them
Back in 1985, I got to see them 3 times in 4 days. It was the "For Those About to Rock" tour. Angus starts every concert in his school boy uniform, by the 4th or 5th song he is down to the short only, because he doesn't stop moving the entire concert. He does his Chuck Berry tribute duck walk several times during each concert.
AC/DC in 1985 released "Fly on the Wall." The "For Those About to Rock Tour" was 1981-1982.
@@dchenkin02 so maybe it was Oct 1984, but they had the acrylic cannons on the sides of the stage at the Cow Palace, Cal. State fair, and Potland Colesium.
The drummer in this was Chris Slade. He was pretty much with the band whenever Phil Rudd wasn’t. He recorded a few albums with them too. He’s a great old British guy. Such a gentleman.
Thank you for that information. I always wondered who he was.
One of my favorite drummer's
Just the one really. He also was on their "Big Gun" single which was featured in Arnold Schwarzenegger's "The Last Action Hero."
ACDC is shaking the walls at every Australian BBQ ...
You should play them after you've had a couple of drinks they are twice as good..
Party music
It always gives me joy to see people rock out to BAD A## AC/DC !
I saw AC/DC on this tour and they did throw the Angus dollars out on the audience. For more Angus antics check out "Let There Be Rock" at River Plate for his extended solos.
So cool to see how much you like AC/DC. I've seen the in concert 7 times, I was one of those head bangers at the front of the stage and at the Back In Black concert, they opened with Hell's Bells and they hit this giant bell with a sledge hammer!! Talk about LOUD!!!!! These guys rock so hard! And sense you like Matchbox 20, watch their video "She's so mean" cool song!! Stay cool!
"Who Made Who". Another great Angus performance. Also, in that video, they clone Angus ...
You can't go wrong cranking up any ACDC tune, when I listen to them my neighbors do to! And it would be so awesome to have one of those promotional bills they dumped during that show!
Angus is a machine! In concert he always did these super amped solos so the other guys could get a rest. He's just amazing.
Unleashing is the perfect word Amber!
I've seen them live at least three times, with this tour being one of them. Angus is a true BEAST, he never stops playing for the entire concert. It is amazing.
AC/DC (via my brother's CD collection) broke me of my boy band phase, circa 2001. My brother found out my parents were going to get me tickets to see the Backstreet Boys for my birthday, but AC/DC was touring at the same time. So we hatched a plan to bring up the AC/DC concert when my mom asked me about the Backstreet Boys. And my brother and I *never* willingly did anything together. So my brother and I got to see AC/DC (for the first time) on the Stiff Upper Lip tour. I don't listen to them as often anymore, but anytime they come on the radio or come up on my shuffled playlist, the volume gets cranked up, the hair comes down, and the air guitar comes out.
That move that you love watching Angus do is a tribute to Chuck Berry, Angus picked him as his "Rock God".
I _seriously urge_ you to listen to "Highway To Hell" live at River Plate. Brian Johnson just GOES OFF at the end, it puts the biggest smile on my face every time he booms, *"I think I got one more in me, heh!!"* 🤘😊
As a teen I had a black 1980 Z/28 I would cruise for hours, t-tops off with an AC-DC Back in Black cassette wearing itself out playing over and over, turning it up as loud as it could go when Rock n Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution came on 🤘🏼🎸🤘🏼you guys should definitely react to Rock n Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution!
Listen you two lovely people...you haven't truly heard or experienced AC/DC until you've BLASTED ------ "For Those About to Rock" (We Salute You). Mic drop!
Thunderstruck and Moneytalks are both from The Razors Edge album. Fire Your Guns is another banger from that Album. Their latest album was released in 2020. Demon Fire is a banger from that album. I could listen to AC/DC all day, every day!
Thanks for dusting off this "Lost Classic", guys!. It still gets occasional airplay around here, but not nearly as much as the more well known songs. Jay, at one point you rubbed your throat when you heard one of Brian's screeches. I've heard that this song was one that was very difficult for Brian to sing, that's why it was only used during the Razor's Edge tour in 1990-91. Also, the "leg chop" that Angus does is called the Duckwalk, was patterned after the one that Chuck Berry did, who was one of Angus' main inspirations when he was learning how to play. When he flops on the ground, it is called the "Dying Bug". It was almost as common for him to do as the Duckwalk when he was younger. But, Angus is 66 years old now, rarely does it anymore. For a real treat, react to a live video from the 1970's or 80's when Angus would regularly be carried through the crowd on Bon/Brian's shoulders with neither one missing a beat.
Brian Johnson's voice is pure gold.
Per rob O’Neil this was one of the songs seal team 6 red squadron was playing while gearing up for the bin Laden mission. A mission they all believed would be a one way trip. Suicide bomber or house fully wired with explosives, or Pakistani military shooting down their helicopters deep inside a country we were not supposed to be in. They all believed they would likely die on that mission. Of course we all know how it ended 😎
“Listen to the money talk”
I was at the Money Talks concert. The money falling from the ceiling was Bill's printed like the logo Angus was on the floor spinning on. Had a few of the notes but were lost in Hurricane Katrina. Do still have original concert poster. Same logo
The two "drums" you see, one on each side of drummer Chris Slade, are bass drums. Chris wanted to have something unique in the music video Thunderstruck, so he suggested having a bass drum on each side of him for that video. It worked and he kept it and has used them for other songs.
I've always wondered how Angus Young has the energy to do what he does for an entire concert.
AC/DC. Always guaranteed to put a smile on my face😆😆😆
“Moneytalks” is off their infamous “The Razor’s Edge” album! And Rob I’m telling you, you have to react to this song off their “AC/DC Live” album, and please react to “The Razor’s Edge” off the same album!! IMO this album only trails Back In Black as their best album! Also, they did drop money on the fans during this song!! 🤟🤟🤟
Your forgetting the fly on the wall album. Shake your foundations sink the pink danger hell or high-water. The whole album is 🔥
I still have my Angus money from the Chicago concert I was lucky enough to get the night off work to go see them!! 11th row center second best seats to AC/DC 😎👍
AC/DC is so tapped in to the root of Rock-N-Roll. They get right down to it and pull out the most basic gut-level rock sounds of pounding drums, bass backing up the drums, and super tough guitar. This time in the band they were going for the big rock anthems. You can totally hear the Chuck Berry in Angus' riffs.
Yes this song is from the Razors Edge album along with "Thunderstruck" and "Mistress For Christmas".
That little shuffle Angus is doing was made popular by Chuck Berry A Black Rock and roller check out Chuck Berry you will see were Angus got it ! Angus wears his school uniform cause his dad made him wear it to guitar practice after school , so he started wearing it to concerts ! Try you shook me all night long you will like it His brother Malcom can Play some mean Guitar too !
True story, AC/DC doesn’t have any bad songs. They all rock!
I hope you get the opportunity to see them live, they put on an awesome show. Even AC/DC cover bands are fun to see live. 🤗
Hokey Pokey
Being such a big Angus fan, have you watched his solo at the end of Let There Be Rock at the River Plate concert? Just saying... he shreds for 10 minutes straight, probably one of his best solos ever.
Most bands have lead singers who are the star of the show. Angus is in that rare group of guitar players, along with Ritchie Blackmore and Eddie Van Halen, where the lead guitarist is the star of the show!
My best friend in high school just died, he turned me onto a dc in 7th grade in computer class, I love you hank, with that said, I absolutely love ac / dc ever since back n black !!!
Angus’ “leg chop” BEST DESCRIPTION EVVVVVVEEERRRR!!! That is all! 🎸
when ACDC came out. it was like a breath of fresh air. just ROCK that's all
Angus once fell onstage and got caught up in the guitar wires. He didn't know what to do so he just ran around in circles, as it were. His sister loved it and suggested that he make it a permanent part of the act. She is responsible for the School Boy look Angus sports and she makes the clothes he wears onstage.
Angus is only a performer in the sense that you get to watch him play 😂 he's rockin out by himself!
The two big drums up on ea side of the drummer are used for specific songs, like Thunderstruck when they say "Thunder !"
AC/DC was the loudest band I've seen live it had my ears ringing for two days. When they play the song "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)" they fire off cannons and I was standing front stage. It was freaking awesome.
You definitely need to check out let there be rock live from the Apollo With their original singer Bon Scott
Your not wrong there. That remember, was a home town gig for Bon, and nearly a homecoming for Malcolm and Angus. People forget AC/DC are essentially a Scottish band.
At this concert, all these dollar bills dumped down from the ceiling as Angus played with the spotlight on him. So cool.
....oops, I guess it shows that in the video, hahaha.
I still have my AC DC money from that concert. Razors Edge concert was amazing.
Love AC/DC! do yourself a favor and check out some older stuff, Touch too Much, The Jack, Let There be Rock, Problem Child... these song are truly FIRE!
AC/DC Live at Riverplate is something our boy J HAS to watch. The crowd is INSANE. The entire concert is amazing.
I've seen them in concert 5 times with the first time being with Bon Scott back in 79. I love AC ⚡DC
My all time favorite AC/DC song by far!
This song is on the razors edge album. I love watching you guys and Amber's hair when she enjoys a good song and their reaction s!
Thisisthe same album thunderstruck is on
I can count on one hand the number of reactors who’ve reacted to this song, and I’m so happy to see the two of you circling back to where it all began and rocking out to AC/DC again!🤘🏽🤘🏽
AC/DC,,,,,, Angus got that walk from Chuck Berry,,,, Angus is cool to see live,,, he never stops
Probably my favorite ACDC song..especially with this great video that accompanies the song. Great choice!
I went to the razors edge concert, I just remember when this song started playing they dropped thousands of AC/DC notes from the ceiling with Angus young face on them, I've seen them 11 times now first when I was 13 with my older brothers. Such an amazing band they absolutely blow you away at live concerts.
