The rectangular vs circular option is actually really useful. I know some games I play where if I use a circular stick the diagonal aiming is slower than it should be. But then other games are programmed expecting a circular input and rectangular sticks give you less precision. So putting the controls at the user's end is very helpful.

When jumping and holding the diagonal forward left or right: If you have a rectangular outer deadzone the car makes a full frontflip and lands on the wheels If you have a circular one the car cannot make the full frontflip and hits the bumper making you lose time to recover

@@TylerJovan apex 4 feels more premium. But face buttons and triggers feel better on Vader 4 pro. Buttons on Apex 4 (at least on mine) have more travel distance feels like and less resistance. But again, it maybe only my unit, because they should be identical physically
Thank you for your extensive review! I went ahead and ordered the controller from US Amazon to EU and hope for the best. In the past I've had to return several different controllers because there was something I didn't like about them. To make your reviews even better I'd like to see evaluation of vibration noise and more detail on the trigger movements, more specifically how they hinge (how far up is the pivot point).
So the thumbstick modules are effectively minified Apex 4 design with recentering done by a flat backplate against a cylindrical bottom of the thumbstick and tension is done via lever spring on the side. Another point of difference Vader thumbsticks are not on micro ball bearings, thus needing that lubricant (hence also a conventional cover over the mechanism). I guess now time to wait another year for Apex 5 that will combine accessible adjustment rings with the larger thumbstick mechanism?
@GamerHeavenOfficial yeah it's by far my favorite premium/pro controller so far. And I've had the elite series 2, gamesir cyclone pro, and scuf instinct pro. Elite and scuff both broke within 1 year.
When I buy a controller from a company like flydigi or gulikit or gamesir, I just assume I have no warranty and if it breaks I fix it myself or buy a new one. That being said, the stick tension seems amazing, and I house joystick creation is such a leap forward! Keep holding these companies accountable and making AMAZING reviews

Gotta say I got the Vader 3 pro months ago because your video and it's still my favorite controller hands down ! I'm on PC last year I had a weird couple months I bought so many different controllers (XBOX Elite, PS5 Controller, Stock xbox controllers, off brand controllers) and none of them were as good as the Vader 3 pro! Since the Vader 4 pro looks like a upgrade I will be purchasing it ! Cant wait !!!!

3 years ago I could watch a controller review from anyone. Vcuda is the only one I can actually sit through an entire review now, and feel like I got something from it. Information or often times entertainment (humor). When one of my viewers/subscribers mentioned that they’re making a review on UA-cam I always view and like to support the squad but personally Vcuda’s videos do it for me.
It would be helpful to include the weight when talking comfort. Vader 4 Pro is 269g, Apex 4 is 328g Using an Apex 4 because of your review and also other channels. Loving it for the most part but it weighs a lot more than controllers I've used before. I didn't get the Vader 3 pro originally because of the design but with the weight compared to Apex 4 and the new design, I might switch to Vader 4
The rectangular vs circular explanation section was helpful af 🍻 It explains why controllers like the kk3 have that 0% result. The below 20% has become kind of a rule of thumb for me with circularity tests knowing that rectangular will always he higher now but that does not mean less accurate

I ordered mine on the 19th, yet to ship but I understand it's AliExpress. Excited and super glad to see it is as nice as I thought it looked. Also, yes your review was the one I was waiting for the most TBH, kinda weird flex from FlyDigi there.
I purchased the Apex 4 from Aliexpress. I live in Australia so it took a little over a week to get. I will say I returned 2 items with no issues. So cant complain waiting 3 - 4 more days for the prices. Only thing I can say, dont use the standard packing, ask for the item to be boxed or they send in soft pachaging, so the box of your item may have slight dings on tje corners. Items have all been untouched.

The Black Flag edition looks sick, I couldn't stop myself from buying it even tho my Vader 3 Pro works perfectly fine. Although I kinda wish it didn't have that giant skull.

Had Gamesir T4 Pro, for almost 2 years the plastic and rubber became sticky so, found your New Kaleid (K1) vid and bought one last month, (trigger and stick tension are light, opposite with t4pro), and saw your vader 4 pro and bought one. :). have been trying to calibrate a few times, but seems the stick axis is not stable, on test website, it will jump around 0.0002-0.0194(sometimes even put on stable desk). it will auto calibrate every 3s though. when i press LT or RT, axis number will change too. Atm it did not effect gameplay, i wonder if this is normal? really do not wanna send for repair after 2-3 months of usage.
Thanks for the review, amazing as always ! About the square (or here rectangular) deadzone, it is really useful for Rocket League players. It's quite a rare feature in pro-controller apps, which I think is a shame since it wouldn't hurt to implement it, even if only a few players actually use it...
Oh there's a 3? I've got the XB2 but it's literally not been working on both my xboxs for months, just keep getting a notification that it's been blocked.
My OG Brook wingman adapter still works, but when using it with the Apex 4 with the gyro, I get button press lag. So now I use my Titan one adapter, and I can use the gyro, and I don't get any button lag. Also, I can plug the wireless dongle into the Titan One and use it as well wirelessly on my series X.
I just brought this controller alongside buying the Wingman XB2 adapter. I couldn’t even get it to work😂 Also I had a warning message saying the xb2 is not going to work as of 5/9/24. I returned it and brought the Wingman XB3, after a little fiddling I got it working with the controller lead plugged straight into the adapter. Then after working out the controller software and only delving a little into the options. I can say so far this feels sooooo good! Even better than my turtle beach ultra, but time will tell. Awesome detailed review as always, especially the tear down, I received mine and was good at first. BUT if the tension is 3 notches from minimum or less it’s not that responsive, even adjusting joystick center speed did not help much, think I’m just gonna mod a dualsence with the extreme rate clicky face buttons, and TMR Hall effect sticks, for the video your releasing soon, could you talk about the springs in the TMR, annoying will prob still get stick drift over time

Circular felt very similar to the k silvers in the 3, I really liked the square option but since I’m someone that’s not going to switch per game type or anything it will get tested more on purpose 🙂

Response curve is not completely useless. look into the Aggressive response curve, its actually super useful for FPS because the Pc finishes your movement for you when you start the action.
I hope one day FlyDigi can match the Switch Pro Controller's gyro responsiveness. I honestly have yet to see any gyro controller being able to perfectly match it as of yet (8BitDo comes close but it's still a little different). If any company could it, would probably be FlyDigi
Excuse me for asking. I’m planning to buy this controller Vader 4 pro. I’d like to know If I set up the rear buttons and dead zones of this controller on my computer, will these settings be reflected when I use this on PS4?
They still need to do something about the buttons, d-pad, start/select placement and back buttons to make their gamepads worth considering. The sticks aren't the reason I'm giving up on the vader 3 pro.
Not sure if things have changed since early July, but when I emailed Flydigi in regards to my Apex 4 warranty, I was told it was not covered in the U.S. I would assume that would be the same case for the Vader 4 Pro. Again, things may have changed since I messaged them but maybe something to consider. Specifically, they stated they have no global warranty. Great review and controller, the black flag edition is so tempting.
They have been making a remastered version of the game since last September. But, since Ubi is dishing out flop after flop, the company may not even exist for much longer, let alone the remaster of an old game.

The Shadow stingers are for mobile gaming and touch screens. They use what they call a gimmicky cap air technology. Essentially their triggers for your phone. Do you go around your device and give you a grip as if you're holding a controller and the triggers themselves are mechanical buttons that send electrical pulses that imitate finger touch so to say. The downside you have to charge him using with the micro USB. They do give you the flexibility of just using one to four buttons.

Gamer and heaven and Vcuda are the best controller review channels in my opinion
3 years ago I could watch a controller review from anyone. Vcuda is the only one I can actually sit through an entire review now, and feel like I got something from it. Information or often times entertainment (humor). When one of my viewers/subscribers mentioned that they’re making a review on UA-cam I always view and like to support the squad but personally Vcuda’s videos do it for me.
Do you think it's better than the Apex 4?
It would be helpful to include the weight when talking comfort. Vader 4 Pro is 269g, Apex 4 is 328g
Using an Apex 4 because of your review and also other channels. Loving it for the most part but it weighs a lot more than controllers I've used before. I didn't get the Vader 3 pro originally because of the design but with the weight compared to Apex 4 and the new design, I might switch to Vader 4
The rectangular vs circular explanation section was helpful af 🍻
It explains why controllers like the kk3 have that 0% result. The below 20% has become kind of a rule of thumb for me with circularity tests knowing that rectangular will always he higher now but that does not mean less accurate
Love your videos my man! But i feel like your review on this one especially was a little biased because of your bad experience with the company. I understand that them writing in a comment section is bad taste tryin to recruit people, but it shouldnt be a part of this review on the controller functionality and software :) I feel you were a bit harsh on them because of your experience. But great video, and i will like everyone of them. Have followed your advice for a long time and will keep on doing it :)

After a month using this controller i gotta say this controller absolutely destroyed every other controllers at this price point.
I got one! So far so good! 0 Deadzone witn no stick drift, triggers are amazing too. Going to keep using see how it goes.

I purchased the Apex 4 from Aliexpress. I live in Australia so it took a little over a week to get. I will say I returned 2 items with no issues. So cant complain waiting 3 - 4 more days for the prices. Only thing I can say, dont use the standard packing, ask for the item to be boxed or they send in soft pachaging, so the box of your item may have slight dings on tje corners. Items have all been untouched.

Hello, will I be able to play COD via steam with the vader 4 pro? As in all buttons are available, usable and remapping supported? Or do I have to do it over battlenet.
You mentioned using the controller with the ps5. What button is used for the touchpad? And what is that button right next to the home button?
The Black Flag edition looks sick, I couldn't stop myself from buying it even tho my Vader 3 Pro works perfectly fine. Although I kinda wish it didn't have that giant skull.

More importantly it's stopping me from burning an even bigger hole in my wallet and buying the Apex 4 Evangelion edition lol.

I believe they call it the Gamesir G7HE! It looks to be one of the best cheap controller to buy for when it releases soon!

What's the lowest input lag option on the Vader 3 pro? I heard wired connection isn't good on the Vader 3 pro for some reason. Any way to get 1-2ms delay?

Should I get the 8bitdo The one they released last year that's affiliated with Xbox with Hall effect thumbsticks and triggers, or should I get this controller?
How does the feel of the sticks compare to the apex 4?
Love your content, it is so informative. Had Gamesir T4 Pro, for almost 2 years the plastic and rubber became sticky so, found your New Kaleid (K1) vid and bought one last month, (trigger and stick tension are light, opposite with t4pro), and saw your vader 4 pro and bought one. :). have been trying to calibrate a few times, but seems the stick axis is not stable, on test website, it will jump around 0.0002-0.0194(sometimes even put on stable desk). it will auto calibrate every 3s though. when i press LT or RT, axis number will change too. Atm it did not effect gameplay, i wonder if this is normal? really do not wanna send for repair after 2-3 months of usage.

Thanks for the review, amazing as always ! About the square (or here rectangular) deadzone, it is really useful for Rocket League players. It's quite a rare feature in pro-controller apps, which I think is a shame since it wouldn't hurt to implement it, even if only a few players actually use it...

Oh there's a 3? I've got the XB2 but it's literally not been working on both my xboxs for months, just keep getting a notification that it's been blocked.
My OG Brook wingman adapter still works, but when using it with the Apex 4 with the gyro, I get button press lag. So now I use my Titan one adapter, and I can use the gyro, and I don't get any button lag. Also, I can plug the wireless dongle into the Titan One and use it as well wirelessly on my series X.
I just brought this controller alongside buying the Wingman XB2 adapter. I couldn’t even get it to work😂 Also I had a warning message saying the xb2 is not going to work as of 5/9/24. I returned it and brought the Wingman XB3, after a little fiddling I got it working with the controller lead plugged straight into the adapter. Then after working out the controller software and only delving a little into the options. I can say so far this feels sooooo good! Even better than my turtle beach ultra, but time will tell. @@Dstana i don’t know how to test it but can feel the difference when I use 1000 hertz on the console. Feels way more reactive than the 250 hertz

Awesome review with the new Vader 4 Pro! It seems for an FPS player, the Vader 4 Pro would be better with the trigger lock than the gimmicky magnetic lock with the Apex 4.

Goldeneye gameplay, super based. Thanks for the review, I can't just run out and buy it because I need to be sure if the controller has gyro support and customization as good as the Dualsense does with DS4W, but if I catch a sale I'll definitely give this one a try.
Do you think a different joystick cap would fit on those stems or nah? I hate using snap on extenders and the longest flydigi stick is like a medium

Awesome detailed review as always, especially the tear down, I received mine and was good at first. BUT if the tension is 3 notches from minimum or less it’s not that responsive, even adjusting joystick center speed did not help much, think I’m just gonna mod a dualsence with the extreme rate clicky face buttons, and TMR Hall effect sticks, for the video your releasing soon, could you talk about the springs in the TMR, annoying will prob still get stick drift over time

Circular felt very similar to the k silvers in the 3, I really liked the square option but since I’m someone that’s not going to switch per game type or anything it will get tested more on purpose 🙂
@@GamerHeavenOfficial yeah I tend to stick with one thing... Circular certainly looks like it will be more consistent for the amount you need to move the tippity tips of those thumbs in whatever direction you need those bullets to be traveling.

Response curve is not completely useless. look into the Aggressive response curve, its actually super useful for FPS because the Pc finishes your movement for you when you start the action.

I hope one day FlyDigi can match the Switch Pro Controller's gyro responsiveness. I honestly have yet to see any gyro controller being able to perfectly match it as of yet (8BitDo comes close but it's still a little different). If any company could it, would probably be FlyDigi
Yeah 8 bit do feels just like the switch pro controller on switch. FlyDigi gyro feels good on pc, mid on switch

Hi, how is the friction of the joysticks towards those tension rings, do they work as friction rings like in the 3 pro ?
They still need to do something about the buttons, d-pad, start/select placement and back buttons to make their gamepads worth considering. The sticks aren't the reason I'm giving up on the vader 3 pro.

I think you can adapt a mobile phone clip to the top because some of their models are mobile compatible
Not sure if things have changed since early July, but when I emailed Flydigi in regards to my Apex 4 warranty, I was told it was not covered in the U.S. I would assume that would be the same case for the Vader 4 Pro. Again, things may have changed since I messaged them but maybe something to consider. Specifically, they stated they have no global warranty. Great review and controller, the black flag edition is so tempting.

They have been making a remastered version of the game since last September. But, since Ubi is dishing out flop after flop, the company may not even exist for much longer, let alone the remaster of an old game.

The Shadow stingers are for mobile gaming and touch screens. They use what they call a gimmicky cap air technology. Essentially their triggers for your phone. Do you go around your device and give you a grip as if you're holding a controller and the triggers themselves are mechanical buttons that send electrical pulses that imitate finger touch so to say. The downside you have to charge him using with the micro USB. They do give you the flexibility of just using one to four buttons.
