The Republican party is by ALL accounts, a party of extremists, within the context of all American history. It wasn't always, but it absolutely is now. And you'd be blind not to see it's romanticized authoritarianism. From banning books to controlling people's bodies to trying to instill constant fear of immigrants, it is a party taking it's first steps towards the seductively simplistic allure of the "easy solutions" fascism promises.

Isadore Greenbaum was my neighbor in Tustin, CA in the 1980’s. Without a doubt he will always be the most memorable person I have ever met in my lifetime. His passion for righteousness and the courage it took to disrupt the Nazi rally in 1939 never faded over the years.

Some Americans are not very bright. The failure of your education system is working very well for the GOP.
When the majority is told that their way of life is being replaced and that they themselves are being replaced, it scares and angers them to the point where they think they have to take it back. But it's cocky to think you own anything and that nobody else is allowed to live here. This is supposed to be the great melting pot. Everyone here came from somewhere else unless you are Native American, which these white supremacists are most likely not. What does it mean to BE American? That is a question that already has an answer. We all live here. We coexist. We work together to build this country and set things up for the next generation to do the same. That is our purpose. By dividing us, tearing everything down, it puts it all back to square one. Everything built is destroyed.
You will see whats wrong when the first person comes here and makes fun of you for expressing your emotions positively. Thats usually the ones who are in favor of fascism. Those who lack empathy for the fellow American. They claim to have empathy for, but it is just a mask. Just like they claim that they are motivated fascist. They deny what they are but propagandize what they are not.

This is BEYOND CHILLING. I didn't even know about this. It's concerning it may happen again with the Trump-Hitler ideology. How do we stop this from happening how social media fanatics spreading this ideology? And how do we have conversations with our local communities about the threats of this happening again? Do we approach our elected officials, our colleges'/universities' professors and administrations? It has to be outed before it gets to a point where it's too late yo do anything about these threats to our DEMOCRACY.
This made me cry! How eerie! I had no idea this actually happened in our history and I'm 50 yrs old. I had always assumed we were united against the nazis. They should've told us that trumps nasty father was there which i just found out. It would've even hit harder than it already did

My mother was born in East Germany in 1941...i can't even begin to imagine what her family any so many others went through. Especially the concentration camps. As a non American I had never seen this before. This is totally frightening. My parents were liberated (in Holland) by Allied soldiers who came to free us from the fascists. I was born 5 years after WWII ended and was allowed to grow up in peace because of their sacrifice. Let this be a warning to all of you and all of us. This CAN and WILL happen again if good men do nothing. Vote in overwhelming numbers 💙

One of my honorary (English) 'uncles' parachuted into Holland during operation Market Garden, was captured and spent the last part of the war in a German POW camp. For many years, until his death, he visited Arnhem because he felt a great kinship with the Dutch people. A lot of unheard of bravery during that time, that I'm sure we can only imagine.
