They have business customers who buy in bulk, and private customers who are likely to invest in the company if Blackberry keeps them happy. Shutting down customer service would be a bad move.

Worked at an “Apple Store” in Norway, and did tech support. You had very good luck! I usually can't get to speak to a real person at all. The poor customer service is not limited to tech companies either. Also, if they do have a phone number, the message says "We are experiencing unusually high volumes" regardless of when I call!
This guy tries to make his videos as engaging as possible rather than just doing gadget reviews which we can find a lot on the internet today! Keep going. Great job!
Oppo was terrible, how did OP get 3 stars and Oppo 3,5 when the Oppo guy told him to factory reset the phone without telling him the consequences of that
The person on the ohone did say she isn't a vivo staff. Maybe, vivo's customer service was full so they redirected Arun to another conpany or something? Idk
She works in a generic call centre and takes calls for lots of different companies. She probably forgot which call she was on. Trust me, I know, I worked for one too once ☠️
Haha yeah as a previous tech support we know when someone is super nervous and I always try to just be super calm and use we language so they never feel blame
As the guy who's often on the other side of that phone call (I work in customer service), there's nothing to be nervous about bro, we hear a whole lot of shit every day, the best type of customer is one who's respectful and speaks only when necessary, and the occasional compliment or thanks is always appreciated. Next time you're on the phone with tech support, try adding one more line you usually won't say, it builds confidence.
As someone who worked as tech support agent for years, I've seen some tech-illeterate people that don't even know basic things about their devices, so we have to pay attention to every little detail of what they say and start with the basics before diving to more complicated things...
I’ve had a customer wonder why her payWave wouldn’t work when she had a RFID card cover on her card and another yell at me for 20mins after I told her we were Sanity and couldn’t return her target DVD even if she had the receipt
I was thinking just this... I've worked in phone tech support and it's really hard to find the right tone... You may speak with someone one minute who doesn't even know what a home button is, then the next person may be highly tech savvy and get confrontational if you suggest the basics
I was literally at the edge of my seat hoping that someone would say that "did you try turning it on and off". 😂😂😂😂. Edit: they did something better " Enter password and erase all your data"
This is mostly true and not just for customer support for devices. These representatives work on a ticket basis and is mostly required for their metrics so you really can't blame them. I'm actually surprised that xiaomi and huawei didn't even bother asking for any identification despite being the best support for this test.
@@GeneralAeon maybe thats how it is for some companies. But most customer care relating product especially should ask at least some form of identification to at least confirm you are calling the correct hotline, or to be routed to the correct support. if a company has a robot that says "we are experiencing an unusal level of calls" EVERY time you call them, it's NOT an UNUSUAL level of calls. citizens advice used to be great, now you get a robot that introduces you to other robots that eventually bring you back to the robot who answered the phone. employ some people.
If you are referring to Citizens Bank N.A they broke contract with over 6 outsourcing companies at the beginning of the pandemic in March of 2020. That's why their customer service sucks now. The thing is, you can’t judge the customer service based on just one call. At least from personal experience I can say that. Like when I called my phone carrier because I had some issues and they said they can’t do nothing about it but when I called the support again the next day the lady that answered was super comprehensive of my situation and solved my issue within like 5 minutes.
Customer service is as strong as it's weakest point, they should have employeed a method for this type of situation or done enough training for the employees.
@@bear2507 me too i had a j8 and it was really a nice phone but after some time touch didnt work and i called the support and they literally told us to get a new phone
I remember back in the 90s and dealing with customer service. They would always ask you to check the simplest things. My computer wont start... have you checked that the electrical plug is connected?... I don't have internet. .. have you checked that your phone line is connected to the back of the pc? I think they can start there with phones now. Start simple.
Maybe the problem was too simple. Most people expect that you already know how to charge a battery and when it runs out of battery. Maybe a problem thats a little more difficult would be better.
I think that's the issue they expect some big problems and wouldn't expect something like this so they overcomplicate the problems first then come to the main issue that's the challenge u have to be spot on from the start
@@justanextra3304 the iPhone was marketed as a simple phone that everyone (those who can afford it anyway) can use.

Big mistake when it comes to people
ua-cam.com/video/U79sEXSEb0I/v-deo.html

This is mostly true and not just for customer support for devices. These representatives work on a ticket basis and is mostly required for their metrics so you really can't blame them.
