I so love your mini “ lectures “ so much. I am an orchid enthusiast too and I had hundreds of different orchids in the PHILIPPINES. Now that I migrated here in the U.S, I started collecting again and they’re in the hundred again because of propagation and continuously buying. I agree with your advises about orchids and I just love the way you talk and I love listening to you even if I already know what you are but I STILL love listening to your lectures. Hope you will load some NEW ones again soon.

I really enjoy your style, explaining and showing right the way. Right now I have only 2 orchids, but just past 10 days I managed to get 30 houseplants for my small room. And just downloaded your Excel sheet for orchids. I wish we could attach pictures to our comments. Anyway, thank you again, love your channel.

Would love to know what your climate is. I live in zimbabwe .. very dry winter. Would also kniw how often you water with potting in that mix spag/bark .. thanks kate
I'll save those thin plastic cards that come in the junk mail and cut them into a strip that can be used to get in between the root and the pot, helping to separate it. Kinda like the tags but I won't use those because they may be too brittle or I just don't want to damage them.
Hi Natlee, Yes, you're right. 😊 But there are.some products that are added into the bark like pesticides and other chemicals that can turn the roots brown too.

Why don' t you detach younger branches with roots to make new pots? --> My reason: when untouched, Cattleya roots would evenly spread energy (ability to absorb nutritions), this energy absorbed ability would stop a long period when media are replaced -being repotted. when broken up and detached from their "mother", young Cattleya branches would have much more stronger ability (energy) than the whole old bunch of roots.

Every time a Cattleya is repotted, it hurts the roots so much. I'm also workign on an uppot video, where instead of taking the Cattleya out of the pot, you add another pot to the side of it.
