    I put half a cup of blanched almonds in with two cups of water and a couple of cubes of ice in my blender, blitz it, and then store it in the fridge and use it in my coffee every day. When I don’t have any almonds, I blitz up a half a cup of macadamia’s and two cup of water and use that coffee. When I don’t have almonds or macadamia’s I blitz’s up, skinless hazelnuts and two cups of water and boom in my coffee! Yum!

      In San Diego where I currently live, I have met a Matcha latte farmers’ market vendor, and a friend that liked oat milk. After of course, being a faithful Gundry follower, I usually try to ask for coconut milk at my coffee shops for a latte is when it is available. I used to think almond milk was somewhat acceptable, until I heard the full hearted endorsement of coconut milk. Occasionally I’ll have the A2 milk brand when I can find it.

      It’s heart breaking what strange products are popular today. God please help us. And start with me.
      Oat and Soy milk might be the ‚new‘ fruit juice.
      And fruit juice *was* healthy because fruits are healthy right?
      And who did say that fruits are healthy?
      An Apple a day keeps the doctor away? Does it still count for the genetically modified extra sweet apple that was waxed to preserve it and stored for 5 months until shipping out to the supermarket shelf?
      Is that fresh produce full of vitamins, enzymes and plant proteins?
      Thank You any organic or biodynamic farmer for interacting with God’s nature and blessing with love, kindness, understanding and patience 🙏

    Organic 3 ingredient Milks, Almond, Oat and Coconut milks in equal amounts.
    If I add Organic Vanilla, Stevia, Monk Fruit, Sucralose and Allulose and freeze it and then Ninja Smoothy it, it tastes like a real Milk Shake.

    Dr. Gundry, you recommend pressure cooking beans and legumes, but what if they are canned and cooked with that process? Is canned pressure cooking a suitable method, and thus many canned beans at the supermarket would be ok?

    • @hugoapresname
      @hugoapresname 5 місяців тому

      I do usually cook them another time into a meal for good.
      Dr. Gundry said sometimes the water can be even used because lectins become deactivated by pressure cooking.
      I found out that doesn’t seem to count for ‚solanine‘ which is in green parts under the shell of eggplants or potatoes. Please google *solanine* if You want to learn more about it.
      I often throw the water of canned beans and similar away to be safe though, but I want to learn more about it and not waste nutrients. 🙏❤🙏

    I make my own almond milk with toasted slivered almonds that have NO brown skins, in my Blendtec (Vitamix works too) blender. 1 handful with 1 teaspoon of pink salt, a little pure vanilla (I'm not sensitive to vanilla) extract (optional), and sometimes a little 100% pure organic stevia and it is SOOOO delicious. 1/2 t chicory root inulin will give it a little healthy prebiotic and thickness if you like that. I am amazed at how much better it tastes than anything you could buy - that toasty flavor is like the one I miss from roasted peanuts but milder. Once weekly takes 5 minutes and stays all week in a big glass jar in my fridge. Shake before using! I do not strain it (really don't need to) so as to keep all the fiber. I can easily make toasted hazlenut milk too. I' will try macadamia since I do eat them! Thanks!

    I am lactose intollerant but also barely saw it as an issue cause i dont like the taste of animal milk and 95% of cheeses either but I guess I should switch my soy milk maybe and try something new I am just worried about the price cause those plant milk at the high top are not as common so maybe I will start with coconut which is easier to find

    I am fortunately close to a couple of sheep farms here in NY so I’m able to take advantage of buying sheep yogurt and milk. I have become a fan of sheep yogurt and was never a consumer of all those cow yogurts filling rows of the grocery shelves. Unfortunately since there are only 75 farms in the whole US it is so difficult to find elsewhere in this country. Any suggestions or resources for getting sheep milk / yogurt in the southeast region in South Carolina Georgia would be appreciated.

    But flaxseeds contain compounds called cyanogenic glycosides, which can release hydrogen cyanide when the seeds are crushed (ground) and come in contact with water. So wouldn't that make flaxseed milk problematic?

    If you like milk that feels like snot in your mouth, then be my guest with flax milk. It's not for me. Quinoa milk has a bad taste. Of all the milks there, I think hazelnut milk would be nice. I have not tried it but if it tastes like hazelnuts then I'm a fan.

    You gave oat milk an "F" because of glyphosate and being sprayed with a herbicide. Does that apply to oats themselves? I have moved over from rolled oats to organic steel-cut oatmeal, which I cook in a slow cooker. As far as I know, oats are an excellent source of water-soluble fiber, and good at significantly reducing cholesterol. Now you are indicating oats are bad. What does that leave?

      @@GundryMDYTTried making flax milk and it was a disaster because it's completely different from making nut milk. I should have watched a recipe just in case, but I didn't, with obvious results 😂😂😂I used the same amount of flax like I use for nut milk. After soaking I had a slimy mass, which I rinsed as well as I could, then added water and blended, wondering why my Vitamix had a hard time😂😂😂 When I poured the thick smoothie like liquid into straining cloth, I tried to squeeze it and it was so thick the strained slime could barely come out😂😂😂 I did as much as I could, diluted the product with water and washed away the rest making a mess and wasting the flax seeds😂😂😂 So, now I watched some recipes and know you need just a bit of flax to make a rather large jar of flax milk😂😂😂 I like the taste and it will certainly be my go to milk, thank you!

    What about pecan milk?

    • @hugoapresname
      @hugoapresname 5 місяців тому +2

      I heard that some people definitely react to the lectins of Pecans. I advise You to avoid regular consumption of any nut milks (except coconut in fair amounts) because nuts (and low hydration) gave me kidney damage. Nuts are high in oxalic acid which solves into water.
      Oxalic Acid is also produced in our body and has to be detoxed by the kidneys together with uric acid. The kidneys get overwhelmed by to much of those acids and there’s a big factor for arthritis, degrading body tissue and bone (and teeth) demineralization.
      Hope I could provide some warning with useful arguments 🙏❤🙏
