      I have questions on nightshades. I believe tomatoes are nightshades, should I avoid them or try to cook them first and eat them?
      Should I avoid hot red pepper powder and paprika powder as well considering they are night shades?

    I get that you are concerned with lectins. I would greatly appreciate it if you would include oxalates in fruit and veggies in your rankings. And add what we can do to reduce oxalates. (Boil 10-15 min, drain, discard water. Then cook according to your recipe. It doesn’t reduce nutrients by much but does reduce oxalates.

    Imo, the term "vegetable" has an appropriate and coherent use only within the traditional classification of the three kingdoms of nature. In this traditional sense, everything in nature can be classified into one of the following categories:
    1. Animal Kingdom.
    2. Vegetable Kingdom (plants).
    3. Mineral Kingdom.
    Within this framework, fruits are parts of plants, and thus, they fall under the category of vegetables. Therefore, I argue that the word "vegetable" should only be used in the system of kingdoms. Consequently, fruits should be considered vegetables. All parts of plants, including fruits, are vegetables because they belong to the Vegetable Kingdom in the traditional classification of nature.

    Is juicing root veg good?

    • @GundryMDYT
      @GundryMDYT  3 місяці тому +1

      Hello there, thank you for reaching out! Root vegetables like carrots and beets contain a lot of sugar, so Dr. Gundry would not recommend juicing them and consuming them without their fiber. 🙏

    You can have cucumber 🥒 but peeled & seeded only as he said. & small ones only. Same with zucchini & bell peppers. Sure cabbage is fine as it's a cruciferous vegetable. Not pumpkin or squash per his book. Though I have peeled & seeded small yellow squash.
