What I think people are struggling to understand is that season 2 is a SET UP for the rest of the show. You spend the whole show going cmon mark cmon mark and then in the last episode of season 2 we see that side we have been begging for so so long. I can’t wait for season 3!
@@vigorousprophecy and that’s exactly what Amstrong was. It was mark showing what he is actually capable of. I like to think that him saying “I thought you were stronger” was to himself rather than talking about Armstrong. Like how Mark thought he was stronger than his father. I mean in contrast to Omni man beating him in season 1 he chocked up on the final blow. Mark didn’t with Amstrong.
I think people forget that they’re adapting the comics. It’s not going to always have a super complete story structure that people want in tv when the story its based off of literally hops around to different things all the time much like the show does without one thing shining in the light for too long. There was no “big bad” of the season because there wasn’t a big bad per se even at that time in the story where they were at in the comics(around issue 33-48) Which is why I believe they changed around the events to have a more high stakes finale with high implications for what’s to come in the next season. I think they’re pacing it out better with the way the events are rearranged and I’m excited to see the next chapter in the story play out when season 3 comes out.

The people who aren't a big fan of season 2 need mostly patience now. Cause so far basically everything that happened happens with a purpose or setup in mind. Unlike season 1 season 2 opens up the story quite a lot (as you said "chaos") and it takes time to pay all of it off. This season has been really faithful to the comics which gives me hope for the future. It's like a big puzzle but we only have the 1st pieces now and don't even realize the whole scope of the entire puzzle just yet and every future season will give us more pieces (and pay-offs), to add to that full picture. I liked season 2 as much as season 1 and if season 3 will be what I think it will, then it might become one of the craziest super-hero-show seasons that I have seen so far. Kirkman apparently said that every episode of S3 is supposed to feel like a finale, without pushing expectations too high lol. I guess we'll see.
