Small and fast. It's all about having the right fit. And with a shorter length of pull and shorter barrel, hunters of smaller stature can get the balance and stability that results in better shots. The compact dimensions also save grams to make this rifle a great choice to pack into the mountains.
Value. The XPR is a new way to look at bolt action value. The XPR is a rugged, reliable and precise bolt-action rifle built for the next generation of Winchester hunters. Combining proven concepts from the Model 70 with more efficient manufacturing processes means that the XPR is a superb hunting rifle at a more affordable price.
Tough and accurate. If you're looking for a more compact rifle that will stand up to the abuse you put yourself through in the field, the compact XPR is the rifle for you. The advanced polymer stock is built for superior grip in wet conditions and will stand up to the scratches and bumps you're bound to encounter on the stalk or on the walk to the stand. The matte blued finish is tough and non-reflective. The detachable box magazine is a built in feature that is typically an expensive after-market addition, allowing you to keep extra shells in a spare mag instead of jingling loose in your pocket.

The XPR is an awesome rifle, I have 2 . One is in 6.5 creedmoor and the other is in 350 legend. Both shot cloverleaf groups . The creedmoor shot hornady whitetail ammo and the legend shot 180 grain winchesters. I adjusted the trigger on both to 3 pounds.
hello, how did you adjust? thanks
I have the cerakoted, camo version of this rifle in .270 Winchester. With federal blue box i got 1.25 inches at 100 yards. It's the cheapest round they make and more than adequate for deer. Shot a buck last year at 120 yards with this rifle. I blew up his heart ,he fell on his nose straight forward, didn't take a step.
That's the first review I've seen of yours, love your work, I've subscribed
My XPR has an adjustable trigger. It's a 6.5 with a 24" barrel. I think you can't shoot.
Fair assumption. This is me shooting a good gun.ua-cam.com/video/71po4cFm9HA/v-deo.htmlsi=NDsnuevKb5WIuCl0
Trigger is adjustable, that is the youth model, 1 inch is the standard reduction for youth/compact models, and the Browning AB3 is meant to be a more budget version of this rifle. My 270 is a 1/2 inch gun at 100 yds.
Fair assessment, thanks.
Bro, nice work by the way. Love your presentation style.
thanks Sunson! i really appreciate it!
The trigger is adjustable..I've the XPR in .223 and you can adjust it from 3.5 to 3 pounds
I have the XPR glass bedded in a laminated Boyd's stock. Its a great gun. Accuracy is cheap these days durability is expensive.
I owned an XPR in .308 and it was about a 1.5 MOA rifle. It was easy to shoot, but not nearly the same aftermarket support that Ruger American's or Tikas have. My Model 70 on the other hand is kinda epic.
Speaking of accurate i got a winchester xpr 7mm and it is quite accurate, i dont know about that one but ive seen these hit at 700 yds etc specifically 7mm and group at 100 the size of a quarter
I’m going to get this rifle soon
That is the most ass warranty I ever heard
Great Channel! Watching you from France! Can you make training videos to shoot better or fun targets?
I have a XPR in 6.5 PRC. The trigger is fantastic and shoots sub moa with Norma, Hornady and Berger ammo. It's got an adjustable trigger and a 24 inch barrel with a muzzle brake. The one I got is in True Timber Strata. I did just order a Boyds At-one stock for it since I couldn't find a chassis for it. I'll be doing another video on it as soon as the stock gets here in about a month. Thanks for the great videos!
Yea the prc cartridges will always shoot good outa pretty much any rifle. Tgere designed with much tighter tolerances in the chamber n throte
@@REDNECKROOTS I agree!
Just bought the exact gun on sale for $400 Canadian plus there's a $50 rebate
As a Penns Woods hunter most of my shots at deer were from 10-75yds. With an occasional 150. I was always taught that once the bucks know we are coming in they head to the thickest brush they can find. Usually they do.
How about 500 yards?
Are u gonna get the Falcon optics S10i for testing? 1-10x would be nice for big game hunting.
The trigger IS absolutely adjustable. The stock is not great, but I swapped it for a Boyd stock. It can be a little picky with ammo, but if you handload, you got a sweet, reliable setup that are sadly underrated...
Your review of the Winchester Model 70 Extreme would be sweet!
The M70 Extreme comes in a few variants:
- Hunter Strata MB
- Weather MB
- True Timber VSX MB
- Tungsten MB
- Weather SS
The stocks are made by Bell and Carlson.
These rifles look VERY nice!… traditional meets modern.
Cheers!
I'll have to find one to pick up!
I got 3006 I love it
I bought this rifle in 300 win mag with scope.
I changed out the stock for a wooden one.
Next, I changed the scope for a Leopold.
Changed the barrel for a custom made one.
I might change out the receiver as well.
I need one in 3006👋👋👋👋👍👍👍👍
You’ve helped me a lot making rifle decisions so I’m asking one more for you or anyone who could provide insight.
I want to upgrade my long range deer hunting rifle. I want to get a 6.5 PRC. I am between the Bergara B14 wilderness and the Tikka T3x. Both models are the same price, are threaded and ceracoated. The difference is the tikka is about 7 pounds and the Bergara is 9.5 pounds but the Bergara has an adjustable cheek piece and nicer stock.
Note I have 3 Tikkas and am a tikka fan boy. But I have a Bergara B22 and it is the best 22 I own and have been wanting to grab a center fire rifle from them. Please help. I have some time to make this decision but will need some time to work up a load development before hunting season.
i would go with the bergara. i like them alot myself. i'am looking to get one soon myself!
this would be a good hunting rifle. for the price. the 143 eldx rounds are great as a hunting round. which are the best. this is one that is a 3 round year deer gun
Review the burris veracity ph
Are your groups shot after a certain break in period for each rifle you review?
Usually after at least 10 rounds,
Barrel break in is Fudd lore....
@@michaelficarro2591 sorry, I didn’t mean “barrel break-in” moreso, a break-in period of getting used to the rifle and it’s idiosyncrasies. I probably could have worded it better, I just wanted to know if he takes a rifle out of the box, sights it in and shows us his groups or if he takes some time to get used to a new platform to give it a fair shake.
The rifle itself is just okay; however, maybe my .270 Mauser action consistently shoots a pattern of 5 rounds cutting a hole the size less than a Nicole. I suppose having a 26.5" barrel length with a Leupold 3x9 is the reason. I guess I should mention, it's not the lighter shorter barrel, but slightly heavier, but I'm not the guy that shoots my game in the body; it's always just below the ear in the neck...less Messer and easier to clean. 👍
Still looking at the quality of these rifles...I gave mine to my son, as I'm a bit long in the tooth. ☺️
Match ammo don't count for hunting so it should shoot hunting ammo under a inch so this rifle is off my list
Yes u have big arms but are they epic? Maybe not.... But still a very good content👍
Loooool thanks
Buy an ATA Turqua in walnut (if you can find one). The most beautiful and deadly accurate rifle for under 800 bucks you will ever buy. I got mine on sale for $550 bucks Cdn. I have 2 of them and they are nail drivers and the best looking budget rifle around. They are same as a Savage 334. Turqua's have fibreoptic sights. Savages won't. These things are amazing.
Hi Mogul! I actually bought one a few weeks ago. About the same price, quite the nice feeling rifle.
First Turkish rifle made for hunting, this company manufactures the Weatherby Orion, not a bad shotgun at all. I purchased the 308 and 6.5 creed in the black adj polymer stock. They advertise they make a 243 however I never see any of these in the American market, these are very robust interesting rifles and having fun shooting them. The 308 shot a .25 sub moa with cheap federal non typical hunting ammo. I honestly could not believe my eyes. That said for the price these rifles are a no brainer. Cheers
@@rockylavigna5977 They are coming out as the Savage 334 now. Without iron sights though. These are great rifles.
They seem too picky on ammo.
Can tell right now that gun was way to far forward on that rest for how flexable that stock is.
1.3= 13" at 1,000 not great but....? 8" for a Deer 2moa would be 400 yards but it's disappointing that it won't shoot better, the old mil surp isn't really better and weighs more but I wouldn't want to pay good money for that either. I guess the Olin group bought Winchester and Browning has something going on with Winchester, plus FN Herstal supposedly builds (Owns?) both of those rifles now. Lots of talk but not the same Winchester. Thank Palosi and Shumer.
Sad review on rifle. Change to Boyd’s stock make sure bolts are secure with no play. Get a trigger tech trigger or one that fits the rifle. Should do better.. use lead sled
Why can't rifle designers ever get the stock right. That low comb only belongs on a rifle if it has open sights. Scoped rifles gota have a high comb. I'm so tired of this ! It's ridiculous they still can't get it right hardly ever. Pretty sad in my opinion
yo, new name?
Yes sir, it's going to be the same content tho, nothing really changes
@@EpikArms nice, just something a little quicker to say in the intro 😂 keep the reviews going man! Love to see em
Not accurate enough for me. Must have the same poor QC that their ammo has. Thank you for the review.
After watching this review i wont touch one of these XPR'S. Hunting ammo counts and not match ammo. This gun wasnt accurate at all
Maybe You Can't Shoot 🤷
