    "yeahhhh buddy!" That's why i'm making this right now! used beef broth instead of water, added two ice cubes of bone broth, and a tablespoon of soy sauce. I think it's even better with the garam masala.
    I make an Itaki electric lunchbox version of this with udon and shaved beef - it's good too!

    You can elevate this dish in a major way by:
    1. Searing the beef cubes first so they're brown on all sides.
    2. Removing the beef cubes and then cooking the onions down in the beef juices and fond that's left over.
    3. Cooking roast potatoes separately in ghee, duck fat, beef tallow or any other elevated high smoke point fat.
    Rice in a bowl, add the potatoes to the side, then add the curry over the rice and potatoes. Your potatoes will be beautifully crispy and really takes it to a completely different level.
    However, this way is faster....it's just not as good.

      No you are one hundred percent wrong lol. this is curry. The only step added here that is somewhat relevant is searing the beef first. Everything else you said is just extra and is wasted time and is not necessary if you are just trying to make curry.

    I can't remember how much you cun reduce the curry block on how much going in? Like some people are adding the whole thing to one recipe usage, and some people are using like half or even less than half. What's the most you can partition it without reducing it too much? Does someone have a reccomendation on this on how to stretch it but still feel like its still curry rice?

    • @lukejposadas
      @lukejposadas Рік тому +3

      It says how much to use on the back, I wouldn't go less than that or else you are going to have some watery curry.

    The S&B pack you used had total 8 pieces of curry cubes. So, in order to make curry for a single person/serving, how much cubes one should use?
    Don't want the curry to be too salty or too bland.

    • @zackgraymes3665
      @zackgraymes3665 2 роки тому +1

      It all depends on how runny you want it. 4 is usually what i use for 3 people. Its really just a roux, so start with 3 and add to taste really.

    • @Adam-mj5hl
      @Adam-mj5hl 2 роки тому

      @@zackgraymes3665 Wtf, just use them all, cook a large portion and store/refrigerate the rest to eat later. Lol, you don’t have to eat the entire pot of curry in one sitting.

    • @zackgraymes3665
      @zackgraymes3665 2 роки тому +1

      @@Adam-mj5hl I prefer fresh food tbh. all in all, a japanese curry is ridiculously easy to make (basically chop some veggies and whatever protein you feel like having with it or on the side), and roux lasts practically forever.
      Then again these are subjective opinions. your best bet is to experiment and try what would be suitable for you palate-wise.
