I became acquainted with Piscifun by purchasing line on Amazon and frankly it was the price that drew me to making the purchase. Ii am glad I made that decision. I have some more expensive line on other reels and after using both brands I much prefer the Piscifun line. It just seems to be a superior line. I also have 2 Viper II 2000 and 1 Flame 2000 spinning reels and I love all 3. Again my reason for choosing these 3 reels was the price. I get to fish in Canada 1 time a year. We just returned from our long delayed trip and all 3 reels performed flawlessly. They handled everything from a 26" walleye to an 18" smallmouth with no problems. I just purchased my first Piscifun Serpent rod in a 7'2" ML fast action. I can't wait until I can get into a mess of Canadian eyes to see how it handles them.

Good vid. It’s nice to have a reference point for friends that I’m teaching how to fish. I was amazed to hear that a lot of retirees never really fished when I’ve been fishing for 60 plus years. Keep up the good work.

I'm glad you touched on rod balance, that's such an important factor. Having a well balanced rod also plays largely into how long you can fish (comfortably) in a day. I just recently bought a new MH spinning rod for inshore use and was searching around for a reel in the 9 oz range and anything I could find that was quality was in the $200+ range....then I found the new captain reel. Ive had great experience with the carbon x, so I figured I'd try it. Man, I couldn't be any happier. I'm getting the feel and performance out of a $70 reel that you normally wouldn't find until you get into the $150+ range. I will be buying more of them to replace some of my aging saltwater reels. Great video.

First of all. GREAT VIDEO! Lately I have decided to dedicate more time towards light tackle fishing (mostly crappie) and create more content about such and I have been watching endless amount of videos to decide what spinning reel to buy to pair with my ACC crappie stix rods and your video made my life much easier. Just purchased 2 Viper X 1000 and i can’t wait to try them. Video was simple and straight to the point. Thank you so much. If you ever want to come make a trip in south Louisiana please hit me up. Let’s put them saltwater reels to the test 😉 God Bless!!!

I've wanted to try the Carbon X... But I'm hard pressed to step away from the Viper X. I've owned Shimano Stadics to entry level Shakespeare's. In my 25+ years of fishing. River/lake fisherman that targets walleye, Smallmouth and trout mainly
Candidly. Dollar for Dollar- the Viper X is worth every one! In my opinion.
Were top end $200 reels better... Sure.. but in my experience, Piscifun has entered a market with great reels that should start to make those longtime reel makers nervous. Great products and great price points.
Btw- EXCELLENT input for those looking for a new reel. I'm relatively an experienced Angler, but had to learn the hard way on what works and why for my fishing situations. This shortens the curve for new fisherman. Great content !!

I use all three reels in tournament kayak fishing . The Alloy and Carbon x are close to each other in performance and durability. But Alloy feels smoother in hand cast and retrieving. Just need Alloy shallow spools...

I am A HUGE Piscifun fan. Just wanna say it. I love your products. Esecially your reels. Just an amazing job. I cant get over the Chaos XS or the Carbon X.
I like the Torrent Rods as well (getting 2 tips is insane for the price). I will admit I dont love the tiny Eyelets. When reeling my Double UniKnot leader tends to get caught in the smallest 2 eyelets. (note its NEVER been an issue when I have a fish on or during a cast)
Why are the eyelets so small?
Also I tie 12lbs braid to 12 lbs floro
(Also This video is in sterio for me)

I got 3 flames, I use them for creek fishing. The flames are my beater reels, i put them through hell. They are so cheap if they break, which mine haven't for the last 3 years, just buy a new one.. Bought the viper x last year and use it with giant swimbaits, topwater frogs and whopper plopper targeting large bass and striper. And just bought the carbon X in the 2000, and I plan to use it for trout.

Bearing counts are totally overrated. putting extra bearings in places they aren’t needed to up the count is just a way to try and trick the buyer into believing they are getting a better reel.
