Hey Steve: Thanks so much for these Piscifun 3000 series spinning reels 5 episodes/comparisons (As you may know, I'm into kayak bass fishing in freshwater.) For same money, I'd buy two Vipers instead of one Carbon X 2. That said, the casting distance of the Carbon X 2 was indeed superior.
Got size 1000 ,it doesn't hav a anti-reverse lever since I back reel when I hook a fish I can't use this reel. I'm sending it back.reel at this price should hav that feature
Very good reviews just outstanding! I own a Viper 3000 and a Carbon X 2 3000 reels. They both seem very good but it is sick how far the Carbon X 2 will cast. I have actually ordered another Carbon X 2 to verify they cast that good. I never knew a reel could impact casting distance so much . My results match yours though i amgaining several feet per cast. It has enabled me to fish structures I could not reach before. Have you found out why they cast so well?
The carbon x 2 has double sealed bearings yet it isn't salt water rated? Wouldn't the double sealed bearings be better for saltwater? I'm confused, any help clarifying would be appreciated.
When I was doing the video, I asked that question. Picifun said the Carbon X was salt rated. The X II is not. On their website for the X, the description text does not mention salt, but the picture claims "salt rated." Their Captain reel was made for salt and might be a better choice.
Thanks for this very informative videos, it gives me exactly what I wanna hear without all the sugar coated stuff
You are very welcome!
Ive recently gotten into Ultra light fishing and have been looking into these two models! Thank you!

I have the Carbon X 2 video coming out later. The casting was amazing at 64 yards
I own one of each in 1000 series
Fish with light to medium light rods
Love them both
Thanks for the feedback!
Well done, I was wondering as I own both. Outstanding reels IMO. I have several Piscifun products and they don't miss.
Totally agree!
Great information! Thanks Steve. Have a great and safe Memorial Day weekend my friend. Best wishes to you and your family. 🇺🇸
Same back to you! My thoughts are with all those who served.

Right on!
Are the diameters of the spools the same? That could account for the distance differences.
Good question. I will have to check.

I think it is the actual material used in the gears, etc. that makes the difference.
